MEMBER DIARY

There’s a Crack in THE DOME. How’s it Going to End?

Cameras in place, cue the lights, turn up the mics. And action. Into our view is the most elaborate stage ever seen for a political convention with the enormous Greek columns flanking the stage with two huge video screens displaying colossal images of the Democratic nominee, inevitably our new presidential American idol.

Spotlight on Obama (Commentary)

Indeed a monumental stage built in the image of ancient times for a Greek God overlooking his sacrificial sheep.

The plot thickened from that historic and gluttonous night like a Greek tragedy.

Hope and Change is the mantra of the great idol. Yes we can is chanted from coast to coast, speeches are heard from the One like no other: ”This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal”. Commentators get thrills up their legs and can’t believe what a great orator Obama is and how he transcends race and time. The smartest man to ever run for office is elected President of the United States and is sworn in on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, 2009.

After that historic day, something unexpected happened to America. Something that many refuse to believe to this day, although many tried to sound the alarm before election day. With soda and popcorn in hand, the American people were ready or were they? Here’s how the movie plays out.

The country finally comes down from their high like a climber from Mt. Olympus, only to find out that the radicals from the 1960′s have infiltrated the White House, but peacefully as appointed Czars. What’s a Czar and how did they get their positions without Senate approval? You are not to question those upon high that know what’s best for all.

The economy is bleeding jobs by the hundreds of thousands. The markets and banks are failing. TARP to the rescue to save the banks and prevent the greatest financial meltdown since the Great Depression. We must pass the huge Stimulus Bill that was touted as the panacea to job creation with shovel ready jobs in infrastructure, education and training and more police and firemen. The answer to keeping the unemployment rate below 8% with promises of 5% soon.

Focused like a laser on jobs and many nights of going to bed at night with the last thought being jobs and the first thought upon waking being jobs, the President and the Democratic lead House and Senate spent the next two years on health care for all. What a noble thought when the only thing the people wanted was a job. Arms were twisted, deals were made behind doors, and religious convictions were compromised like a deal with the devil.

Plans and programs were implemented in the name of saving the economy and getting people back to work. Cash for clunkers, EPA regulations galore, man made contingencies, the war on terror is over, terrorists released from Gitmo, government takeover of industries, bankruptcy laws lay in heap of dust, oil and gas leases suspended indefinitely, CIA interrogators to be tried for waterboarding terrorists, rising gas prices, DOJ sues states for voter id laws and attempts at stemming illegal immigration, FBI manuals scrubbed for references to Muslims, skyrocketing gas prices, apologies to our enemies, animosity towards our friends, pipeline refused, DOMA not recognized, gay marriage is ok, war on women, contraceptives for all without regards to religion, amnesty granted, Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell no longer applies, green energy loans to donors, TSA to unionize, the capitol of Israel is not Jerusalem, Muslim Brotherhood invited to White House, Christian businesses are to be boycotted. Yet still no jobs and it’s getting worse.

This is the Obama Show. Sound familiar? It should. The American people are the puppets of this administration and have been choreographed with excruciating detail as if we were actors being filmed in, “The Truman Show”:

This president has put a dome over the American people with a script for transforming this country into something we never wanted. We have been made to be prisoners in our own country with the directors of this film controlling our every move. From the onerous regulations to the omnipresent image of the ruler on high on our TV 24 hours a day. There is no escaping it. This is akin to Woodrow Wilson’s ministry for propaganda called the Committee on Public Information. Today we might call it the thought police. The president even told us as much when he said in an interview with Charlie Rose a couple of weeks ago, “The mistake of my first couple of years was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right,” he said. “But, you know, the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism.”

And like Truman in the movie, the people saw the first crack in the dome on July 13th in Roanoke, VA when the idol famously said, “if you have a business, you didn’t build that”. It has taken nearly four years for the majority of true believers to see that maybe something isn’t quite right with this president and his way of governing.

The symbolism of the Greek temple backdrop at his Democratic Convention speech should have been a warning to all watching. Greek temples are a symbol of idolatry, for raising one up above all of humanity to be worshipped. But sacrificial offerings must be made to appease the Gods. We are the sacrificial sheep and must submit to those that know best for us unless we choose to stand up now and refuse.

Our only hope of escaping this B-rated bad movie known as our fate, is to vote him out of office on Nov 6th in an overwhelming fashion to account for the margin of fraud. There is no other way out of this nightmare we have been cast into without our consent.

End The Obama Show this November or we may witness the worst Greek Tragedy ever: America as we know and love it.

The country is in a funk, except that big international corporations are growing earnings, for the most part.

The problem isn’t corporate earnings, it’s jobs.

Romney’s good at corporate earnings. What is he or anyone else going to do about jobs? Reduce job-killing regulations and taxes? Sure, maybe. But foreign workers still will work for less than U.S. workers.

Romney hasn’t sold himself to the American people. Just that simple.

BTW, i was a Romney guy during the primary wars. Good on paper doesn’t mean good as a campaigner.

    • tnfriendofcoal101368

A President’s approval rating on the number one issue is a pretty good reflector of the people who vote for him. Gallup’s analysis was Obama has been stable for a year there – 45-46 in a recliner. Obama has burned through most of his on hand money and not moved any where. Still under 50 – a majority of Americans want to fire him and they will. Romney is spent little and still even (ahead in Rasmussen).

      • Viet71

        Mitt’s OK as to numbers.

        He’s a cold fish, though.

Obama likes mixing with common people, it appears. Mitt does not, it appears.

Voting is an emotional matter, not (as some might argue) a rational matter. Who best represents what I feel?

        • tnfriendofcoal101368

He’s as cold a fish as Romney – people care about who will help them keep their job….Romney should run this ad though (as there is substantial evidence Romney is a pretty good human being as well).

I do agree Obama’s only chance is to convince people Mitt Romney is a bad guy.

          • Viet71

            I’m talking about perception.

Obama is a skilled con man.

            Romney presents as skilled manager.

To whom will most voters be drawn?

          • checkmate2012

happened today. I wrote this yesterday. Today, I happened to be tossing magazines and read this eyeful of an article in National Review, titled “Obama in the Bunker” from 2/20/12 (old I know). It’s definitely worth reading and dittos the feeling in my diary.
            https://www.nationalreview.com/nrd/articles/293494/obama-bunker

It starts of how he he is apathetic and as a loner, keeps to himself minus just a few in his inner circle and won’t even meet with Dems on the Hill.

It basically states that the messiah O as it refers to him many times, would like nothing more to forget the whole 2008 messiah references behind him and how so many that drank the kool-aid are now very disappointed that he didn’t live up to his own hype.

So to Viet71′s comments, I think the let down of the believers is enough to sway them to either vote Romney or stay home, except the hard lefties which is his only campaign target now anyway.

          • 6eorge Jetson

that much is obvious. His disdain was dripping in every word of his “You didn’t build that” Kinsey Gaffe

Mitt might be cold and indifferent, but at least he doesn’t hate me.

          • checkmate2012

No matter how many times he writes that on the chalkboard, he still hasn’t learned his lesson. It looks like a take-off on Bart Simpson-lol.

I can’t identify the 1984 pic or simply don’t get it?

          • 6eorge Jetson

The image is taken from the Richard Burton version of the Orwell classic released in 1984. (Other versions were released in 1954 and 1956 .)

          • checkmate2012

the movie or read the book, yet I know the about the concept of 1984 and think we are living it today. That’s for another post! But yes eerie indeed- wow!

Thank you for the great comments and pic inserts! I just realized I made the front of the front page- still in shock!

          • http://www4.webng.com/rickbull/lostlucky/ rickbull

but today’s generation of liberal educators have done their best to bury these two master works by George Orwell (aka Eric Blair). Animal Farm is a fairly short read, and 1984, while a little longer, is not nearly the challenge to read as Atlas Shrugged. Give Orwell a chance: he will capture your attention and your imagination.

          • Kyle-MI

It is a fantastic little essay.

          • checkmate2012

on your comment as I was clueless and it’s so true! Good one!

This stuck out from wikipedia: “One of Orwell’s major points follows:
The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one’s real and one’s declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink.”

That’s exactly what I was aiming for in my post! He’s a fraud like none we’ve ever seen and managed to pull the wool with his charming language. Empty words resulted in empty results.

Thank you Klye for your comments on my front page day!

          • checkmate2012

I agree that the whole curriculum should be changed to focus on our real history, not revisionist history where we’re portrayed as the bad guys. Shameful. And shame on me for not haven read 1984, but I know the plot and am witnessing the book in action.

I’m a biz major and missed out on many of the classics. Heck my younger sister of 11 years knows more about the 1984 book than I do! Atlas Shrugged is my next read.

Thanks for commenting on my big day! Shocker!

          • http://www4.webng.com/rickbull/lostlucky/ rickbull

is when Winston Smith is chatting at lunch with a fellow who is working on eliminating words from the dictionary–if you can’t say it, you can’t think it–sounds an awful lot like political correctness, huh? I only recently read Atlas Shrugged for the first time, but 52 is still not too late to continue one’s education.

And, if I didn’t say it before, great diary! Looking forward to seeing more of your work on the front page.

TX and TN for others that don’t know.

Thank you for the nice words and I considered myself extremely lucky and don’t expect a front page piece again anytime soon. I’ll try again but the main contibutors are back on the job and Streiff needed fill-ins :)

I’m headed to FLA soon so will have to get 1984 to read on the flight and then Atlas shrugged. Both good reads I’m sure…after I finish my Vince Flynn book…all awesome and favs of mine. Read them in order though, starting with “Term Limits”. It is a mindblower considering how long ago it was written.

          • http://www4.webng.com/rickbull/lostlucky/ rickbull

I was born in Texas, and 90% of my relatives still live there. I spent quite a number of years in Oklahoma (parents were in the movie theatre industry and moved around with the company). I relocated from OK to TN in 1994, and have since discovered that my great-great-grandfather was born here (northeast of Nashville), and served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. He relocated to TX circa 1866.

I’ll have to check out Vince Flynn–sounds interesting.

You’ll enjoy 1984, but be prepared for a marathon with Atlas–it’s over 1000 pages.

          • checkmate2012

I have ancestors from TN that helped start Clarksville. My folks went there years ago on a college trip for my younger sister and went to City Hall (I think).

Anyway, they were looking at old framed pics on the wall, and someone stopped them and asked my dad if he was a Clark, seeing the resemblence. Of course the answer was yes!

Where in TX were you born if you don’ mind saying?

          • http://www4.webng.com/rickbull/lostlucky/ rickbull

rather appropriate, since my last name is Bullington.

If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s 30 miles north of Childress, TX, where Lou Dobbs was born. I’m rather fond of telling folks about that.

          • checkmate2012

informative when I watch his show. Glad he got kicked off of CNN and onto Fox Biz. I don’t see him being slanted one way or the other; no wonder they didn’t like him at CNN for not cowtowing!

Never heard of Wellington. I’m in N. Dallas area. Dad grew up in Bonham, TX which is also close to the OK border but not the panhandle.

Dad in Navy, so I was born in same hospital per my certificate as O was about 3 weeks prior…weird.

            Small world.

Is he not running it on TV? Is it just a web ad? It looks timed for TV.

          • tnfriendofcoal101368

so more people will see it…it is an old ad

          • commonsenseobserver

The Day One-themed ones, even the “American Dream” and “Strong Leadership” ads…

          • checkmate2012

good ads and agree it’s time to replay them during the Olympics. We all are told negative ads works but they also turn voters off. Romney should be firm yet positive from now on.

I think O’s campaign or PAC, not sure which, jumped the shark on his women/contraceptive ad that says something like Romney wants to ban contraceptives and take us back to the ’50s…something like that. That he would make it illegal, etc.

I still want to see Romney with the successful Rep. governors that explains that they reduced taxes, unemployment, etc. in their states, not the Fed. “We managed it with our executive leadership, in spite of the prez, “like a take on you didn’t build that.

          • commonsenseobserver

They portrayed the election as a choice of two visions and gave a clear contrast between the failures of Obama’s big government policies and Mitt Romney’s record of successful leadership.

I like the Governors idea. :)

Some say this election is a referendum on Obama, but voters must make a choice in referendums too.

          • earlgrey

You nailed it, but I haven’t actually seen Elvis yet.

        • califgal

you are almost right when you say he “likes mixing” with them. I say “almost” because what he really likes is being adored by others, common or elites. It’s adoration he seeks. He has learned over his decades of rising to the top of heaps that people love to find another to worship…so he tries to give them what they want like a writer creating a role in a movie for a hero.

He has never accomplished much of anything. He loves seeing his image reflected in the faces of the rabble. Unfortunately, human beings, being what they are, fragile things, not sure of their own worth and dignity, willingly give up their ability in favor of an illusion.

It always amazes me when people say things such as “Romney doesn’t like people. ” Actually, yes, he does. Do you not understand that his behavior around others is the behavior one would expect of a man who doesn’t think himself superior to others?

I laugh again at those who think Clinton loves people. Surely you’ve not studied human nature to believe this. Clinton needs people, needs them to lovvvvvvvvve him, to adore him. What distinquishes him from Obama in this regard is that he was raised with Southern manners and customs and so SEEMS to be warmer than POTUS, but their NEEDS are the same.

It’s a guy like Romney that doesn’t stand before others needing or wanting their love, their adulation: he’s a guy who thinks he can do a job. Period.

          • checkmate2012

with middle-class imprinted on it! Nothing could be further from the truth. This post was meant to denote exactly what you said that O puts himself on a pedastal for all to worship- yuk.

Although I agree with your assessment of Clinton and O, both craving the attention like a drug user, I still maintain that Clinton loves this country and the can’t be said for O.

Did you get to read the NR article I quoted above? Very telling indeed although you have him summed up to a tee!

Thank you for reading and commenting on my first ever front page diary which I didn’t even realize at first.

          • califgal

country is if he undermines Obama this election.

I’ve thought about Bill C. a lot. You see, I believe he doesn’t like Obama and I also believe, more importantly, that he KNOWS that the dependency culture Obama is fostering is really so bad for this country that we will not be able to recover from it.

The tumult in Europe is growing every day. There is absolutely no way that the German citizens can continue to foot the bill for the profligate countries that have different cultures, different work ethics. Why they thought that a common economic system would work when values and national ethics differ so much is beyond me, but there is trouble on the near horizon.

The welfare, dependent class in this country, built primarily, but not altogether, by the Democrat Party is tearing this country from its moorings. I feel about my neighbors who are living off my dime how the Germans feel about the Greeks and the Portuguese and the Spaniards.

            “The center cannot hold…”

I believe Bill Clinton knows this, but his ego is so large that he just had to grab that speech at the convention.

If he’s a true patriot, he’ll find a way to diss Obama. If he doesn’t help to bring him down, I will know he’s not a patriot.

          • checkmate2012

yet he has done it many times in interviews, etc. I don’t think Bill ever does a gaffe as they say, such as when he said all the Bush tax rates should be extended and Romney/Bain shouldn’t be ostricized, among other stingers against O and his policies.

One never knows what Bill has up his sleeve & it’s a risk O is taking. I expect him to tow the line for O, but, the contrast is still stark and O is making a huge mistake IMO. Some little side remark may become the headline if anyone is watching it. NFL opener that night!

    • checkmate2012

There is nothing O can point to that has helped get jobs for the people. He’s made it much harder for companies that want to hire even if they could with the uncertainty.

Finally the majority are seeing him through clear, not rose colored glasses. The shiny orator can’t even give a decent speech anymore!

Romney is an experienced executive and I agree needs to do a better job explaining how his policies will create the environment for job creation. He is starting to do a better job like you said on eliminating regs and lowering taxes.

If he were smart, he’d start emphasizing that gov’t doesn’t create jobs, but can only provide a condusive environment. That will take the wind out of O’s claims to having created x-number of jobs.

Romney just has to win; I think we can agree on that!

      • Viet71

Doesn’t matter. Romney has to sell himself to Mr. and Mrs. middle-America.

        • macbookben

          And what are you now?

    • Tbone

      Just wait.

  • commonsenseobserver

He proposes to pay down the debt by exploding it to $25 trillion over the next decade. The media says Romney’s tax plan’s numbers don’t add up- what about Obama’s debt bombshell?

Not that Romney has marketed his plan very well either, but for jobs and fiscal responsibility, the only choice in November is him. Whom would you trust to keep taxes low, rein in wasteful spending, streamline red tape, and get the deficit under control? For me, it’s only President Romney.

    • ohiohistorian

What Mitt needs to do is to take is 4,538 point economic plan and turn it into no more than 5 BIG bullets. I would suggest:
      35% cut in Federal spending
20% cut in taxes across the board from the Bush rates–permanent
      Repeal of Dodd-Frank
      Repeal of ObamaCare
      Closing of the borders.

I think this five would resonate with the people of this country.

BTW, who needs Ryan. Let’s leave him where he is and build some more capability. I like the idea of Kasich.

      • commonsenseobserver

If Romney wants to lose solid McCain counties in Ohio…

He now has a 5-point plan like this:
        http://www.mittromney.com/blogs/mitts-view/2012/08/mitt-romneys-plan-stronger-middle-class01

Tells us something about his messaging that most of us don’t even know about this :P
He’s not run a single ad focusing on this, other than his “Day One” ones, which were early in the summer. Certainly, I wouldn’t even mind something like McCain’s 2013 ad, and then a series of ads focusing on a specific issue (education, taxes, debt, etc.) pointing out Obama’s failure and then promoting his plan.

        • commonsenseobserver

Romney needs to give voters the facts about both plans. One is the path to higher taxes, less growth, more red tape, and $25 trillion in debt. The other is a plan for prosperity and strength in the middle class, with more jobs, less debt, and smaller government. Tell voters the truth about Obama’s failures and agenda, dispel his lies about Mitt’s plan and record, and promote the plan itself more effectively. 12 million new jobs by 2016 is a number we should not shy away from.

If there’s anything that summarises the differences in their policies, it’s more jobs, less debt, and smaller government. Obama puts his faith in government, Mitt believes in the American people.

          • commonsenseobserver

Could be Obama’s most potent to date, and could end up seriously damaging Romney if he fails to both rebut the study and beef up his tax reform plan.

On the other hand, we can always count on Team Obama to divert important dollars to ads about contraceptives and abortion…

          • checkmate2012

news shows and on the stump…lol on your 4,538 pt. plan! TMI for sure. And yes, where are the ads on this simplified plan??

His plans subtitle on his campaign site you referenced above is great, “Mitt Romney

          • earlgrey

THis is the first I have heard of it.

          • commonsenseobserver

I wonder if the RNC even told its volunteers about it? And the state parties?

Certainly, that’s some terrible message coordination on Matt Rhoades’ and Chairman Priebus’ part.

          • checkmate2012

And in TX, probably won’t see them anyway. I have seen a few O ads which must be national since they’d be a waste of money here.

Check out the Romney website as I think it’s a good sell which is why most commentors agree we need him to do ads to sell it in swing states especially.

          • commonsenseobserver

I like how both of them create a clear contrast between Romney and Obama, though I think Romney should give more meat in the second one, Just listing out the five bullet points and focusing on the big ideas after outlining Obama’s economic statistics.

Why the hell has there been no significant effort to impeach our pretender-in-chief?? There was a serious effort to oust “Slick Willie”-pun fully intended- over some downtown love and the subsequent denial of it. The current occupant of the White House has done far worse, in my opinion, with his blatant disregard for our founding documents, refusal to enforce laws, rule by executive orders that circumvent the rule of law, security leaks and repeated LIES to the American People. A solemn oath to defend our constitution from all enenemies foreign or domestic? He defied the oath of office by taking it. Sheesh.

  • checkmate2012

which is the final judge on impeachment. Won’t ever happen and even if the House believed they had a case which is where the charges are to originate, it won’t pass the Harry senate. Case closed.

This Truman Show theme has been on my mind for years; well ever since the election and the words of transformation just a few days prior. Obama is a symptom, the Democrat Party is the problem and if you do not get that firmly entrenched in your mind you miss the battle that we are in and what is to come. The Democrat party at the national level is owned by the left wing think tanks with the deep pockets. Sun Tzu, the Art of War requires that you know your enemy. Obama got the Democrat Nomination in 2008 because he was in line with the far left think tanks. The think tanks are designing the policy of the Obama administration from pure left wing Marxist manuals. The think tanks wrote Obama care while everyone was telling us that Obama handed that responsibility over the Pelosi and Reid, they had nothing to do with writing Obamacare. It has gotten a label, “leading from behind” but that is not what is happening. Those think tanks are the Marxist idea mills and Obama, Pelosi and Reid are the face of it. The left wing think tanks have Obama telling Russia that he can be more flexible about missile defense once he gets a second term. It is the left wing think tanks inviting the Muslim Brotherhood to the White House. The deep pockets of those think tanks have Obama, Pelosi and Reid doing all of these stupid things ( saying we have to pass it to find out what is in it with Obamacare ) that we sit back and wonder why are they doubling down on such stupidity. Sure, the think tanks have patriotic names but there is no reverence for America and the constitution in those groups, talk about cash for clunkers that is what the Democrat Party has become, cash from these think tanks for Marxist Klunkers in office. This is pure Marxist infiltration at the top and it is not going to stop!!!! Obama floated to the top because he fit THEIR mold and the sheep’s clothing happened to be in Obamas size, his rise to power was just too easy and quick. Valerie Jarret is the pivot man, the one who said that “They had their eye on Van Jones for years. Who is the “THEY” in that statement!!! Obama was a nobody years ago, just a big town agitator and probably someone that the same “THEY” had their eye on. Every failed democrat who gets fired ends up in a left wing think tank, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
I believe that the old guard democrat even suspect this but even they are dwarfed by the power wielded by these thinks tanks and their deep pockets. Only when this model of what the Democrat party is doing is looked at do we see a reason for the pattern they are following. Truly it is the Democrat Party, not just Obama that are the liberals, progressives, socialists, communists, Marxists. Obama’s entire life is the Marxist model. Obama IS the “manifestation” of dropping of the radical pose for the gratification of the radical result. Van Jones told us the game plan in that statement. Obama’s defeat in 2012 is a minor set back for the Marxists, Obama is expendable in the long range plan of the Marxist think tanks. They will continue to be heavily funded from world wide sources and they will continue to try to achieve the radical end by discarding the radical pose and using the Democrat party as their Trojan Horse..

1). Paragraphs. Use them. Love them.
2). If you think “Redstate” has somehow missed that the Democrats are a problem, then you aren’t paying attention.

“Two men enter – one man leaves”

Barry’s never had an opponent who knew how to fight back, and he comes from Chicago, where there isn’t really much in the way of “opposition”.

He really doesn’t know how to deal with a fired-up, pissed-off group of voters who want nothing more than to send him home to spend more time with his family.

The real fun hasn’t started – that comes after Labor Day when voters start paying attention.

I have a feeling this is going to be a repeat of 1980 – I know of no one who voted for McCain last time who is going to vote for Obama; I have a feeling that those voters who sat out the 2008 election to “teach the GOP a lesson” will be shoving people down to get to the polls, and there are plenty of disillusioned Obama voters who want him gone as well.

Carter won with an electorate that was D+16 – Reagan won with an electorate that was D+14. NOBODY was as fired up as those Democrats who wanted to correct their mistake…..

I think many, many blacks feel betrayed by Obama.
Obama and his minions are just flat out lying now.
Obama’s biggest base of supporters act they are with him,
but in private they will not support him.
All Obama has left are negative attacks – and that won’t win
a Presidential race. Just ask David Dewhurst about negative attacks.
BTW – did you all catch Ted Cruz on the Chris Wallace show????

        • littlehouse18

I think they do not want the embarrassment of having the First Black President voted out, and will follow him over the cliff. Still, he will surely not get as large a percentage of their vote.

congratulations for giving in to your wife. Speaking as a wife of 43 years it is always wise to eventually give in. Yes, complain, gripe, drag your feet, mutter under your breath for 3 days…but in the end give in.

The result of your capitulation – your terrific diary and I got a climpse of Chicago seen through a conservatives eyes. Thanks.

Regarding the crack in the dome, I believe his stance on gay marriage is not going to be that important. The black church will speak out against it but they will go to the booths and pull the Obama lever. IMHO

comment about giving in to my wife? I’m a lady and don’t have a wife, nor would I ever want one!!

My first thought was your comment was for someone else, except you used my name and referenced the crack in the dome.

Oh well. Thanks for reading the diary anyway :)

having blond moments even tho I’ve got a lot of grey. Your diary was great. I combined you and izoneguy into one person.

Sorry. You are one of the posters I look for as we seem to be in agreeement in so many areas.

Given the thing with chick fil a I would like to thank you for not assuming I was some troll trying to cause trouble calling you a “wife”. LOL

        • checkmate2012

comment and I know you are no troll. Just wanted to set the record straight my friend. Thank you for the compliment.

Lost again, as I don’t know the reference to your CFA comment but no need to spane :) We’ll leave well enough alone.

When Obamacare was rammed down the throats of America. Americans saw that Government was not longer governing at the consent of the people.

The crack has been widened by everything that came after that.

OK I was dragged kicking and screaming by my wife to Chicago.
She has never been there and the reports of murder & mayhem did
    not slow her one bit…..

Well we had a great trip. Chicago was great. The greatest part was,
I did not see ANY Obama bumper stickers, posters – etc in downtown
    Chicago…..
I did not see anyone wearing an Obama T-shirt.
We went to a Cubs game and they sang God Bless America
    and everyone got into it.
What I did see – was a black man dressed very nicely standing
on a street corner with a megaphone saying that gays were not going to heaven.
    Hmmmmmm,
We did see a lot of gay couples…..
But most telling on the subway ride back to the airport last night…..
A black man about 25 years old was mumbling in my ear about something.
My 12 year old son was behind me and could hear everything.
The man nudged me and gestured to what looked like a gay man
standing near the door. He said:
“That ain’t right, it is like we are being
invaded. They are from another planet.”

    Whoa – what???

I said – I did not care as long as they did not foist their beliefs on me.
He said – “They are in our faces day & night and I am tired of it”.
I should have asked him if he was an Obama supporter.
Our stop came up and we got off.
This is something the Obama campaign is going to have to
come to grips with. I wonder how much of the black vote
Obama will lose because of his gays rights stance?

  • David123

Please show us the raw deal illustration again.

  • checkmate2012

is when he came out in support for gay marriage? You could be right that it’s a bigger problem than his you didn’t build that remark, especially from what you witnessed in Chi-town.

I saw that several Black Pastors from the Coalition of African-American Pastors is against O’s support of gay marriage and won’t vote for him unless he changes his tune. This is big!

  • izoneguy

But I did not know that blacks do not support the gay lifestyle.
If Obama “comes out” at the Democratic convention for gays
and makes an issue out of it – I think his black support will erode
to a point that the gays cannot save him.

  • checkmate2012

But it’s too late for “if” it will be at the DNCC; it’s a done deal.

Per Newsbusters: “Last weekend in a meeting in Minneapolis, the Democratic convention’s platform committee unanimously voted to plow ahead with a pro-same-sex marriage amendment that will call for the repeal of the Bill Clinton-signed Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).”

You had another version of this with Obama smoking a cigarette and looking even more like a thug.
