MEMBER DIARY

Hey Barack, Resign Now, and Now Means Yesterday

From the diaries by Leon…

While our nation languishes amidst record food and energy prices, unprecedented underemployment (including those excluded from the workforce) and economic stagnation, crippling regulations, and an administration in contempt of two court decisions, the media would rather distract us with the Islamist uprising in Egypt.  It is imperative that we keep up the pressure on Obama and the Democrats by denying them the opportunity to preclude our attention from more relevant and ominous domestic problems.  On the other hand, there is one salient question that we should excogitate from Obama’s handling of the Egyptian insurgency.  If Obama is willing to listen to the protesters of a foreign country due to their grievances from high food and energy prices and an unresponsive government, shouldn’t he accede to the similar demands of his own citizens and resign immediately?

As a direct result of Obama’s assiduous depredation of the private sector, there are a record number of people who are unemployed or underemployed.  For those who are lacking sufficient income, their most vital needs include food, energy, and health care are among  Yet, this President has used every tool at his disposal (including illegal ones) to ensure that the cost of production or delivery of each vital sector of our economy has burgeoned exponentially.

Through this President’s continued support of ethanol mandates, subsidies, and tariffs, the price of essential food commodities has risen sharply, as corn is the antecedent of the food chain.  Almost 40% of corn grown in this country is now used for an ineffective and potentially environmentally degrading fuel.  In addition, the President has done everything in his power to mandate and subsidize the production and usage of under-performing and deleterious sources of energy.  This, along with his slavish devotion to the Fed’s policy of quantitative easing (QE2), has artificially and gratuitously spiked the cost of food and energy commodities.

Incidentally, the most egregious threat to our energy independence and economic prosperity is Obama’s capricious assault on the energy sources that actually effectuate economic stability; oil, natural gas, coal, and nuclear power.  What is even more scandalous is that he is prosecuting this war on energy under the guise of global warming solutions, even as Americans are suffering under record cold temperatures.  We are now confronted with an energy shortage during this critically frigid era, as a result of unconstitutional policies, that were implemented to stave off the contrived man-made hoax of global warming.

The impetus of Obama’s war on oil commenced last year when he imposed a devastating moratorium on all deep-water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.  Even though a Louisiana District Court Judge extirpated the job killing, price hiking moratorium, the Obama administration continues to deny drilling companies their permits to resume their much needed oil production.  In fact, last week, the District Court ruled that the administration is in contempt of the court’s preliminary injunction.  So Mr. Obama, who is the real autocrat on the geopolitical scene?

Unfortunately, Obama’s nefarious assault on our energy production, job producers, and consumers has not ended with the Gulf moratorium.  Obama’s alacrity to destroy the energy sector is not assuaged by merely denying us 220,000 barrels of oil per day from deep water drilling. The administration has also dramatically tamped down production in shallow waters and in drilling fields across Alaska and every other coastline.  The Obama Interior Department, under the leadership of Ken Salazar, has imposed odious new regulations and has denied permits to shallow water drilling companies who develop vital natural gas reserves as well as oil.

These regulations, along with Interior Department land grabs, have artificially induced a shortage in natural gas that has created a state of emergency in New Mexico.  Now, thousands of residents throughout the southwest are without power during this record cooling period due to global warming regulations.  The sad irony is that we are experiencing this shortage despite the fact that we are the ‘Saudi Arabia of natural gas’.

Additionally, the EPA has rescinded their permits to Shell Oil for drilling operations in the Arctic waters of the Beaufront Sea in order to “analyze the effects of emissions from drilling ships and support vessels.”  Also, in order to utilize the oil for domestic consumption, it must be refined.  But, not only have we failed to construct a new oil refinery since the 70′s, Obama’s EPA is planning to regulate the few remaining functional refineries into oblivion.

If America is the ‘Saudi Arabia of natural gas’, it is the ‘Kuwait of coal production’.  Yet, the Obama administration has done everything in its power to shut down coal production in West Virginia and other states.  Do they really oppose coal mining because of environmental considerations?  Then, why has Obama failed to support nuclear energy, which is clean, efficient, and cheap?   In Obama’s world, coal is not the king of energy production; rather it is wind, solar, wind chips, ethanol, and dung.

The reality is that we have a shortage in democratic leadership, not in abundance of natural resources.

As Rush Limbaugh always says; ignorance is the most expensive commodity.  The deficit in public accountability of Obama’s food and energy policies has led to the destruction of jobs, economic stagnation, and most importantly; regressive commodity hikes on those vulnerable citizens whom the progressives purport to protect.

These same people, who are unemployed due to socialism, are also forced to pay 50% more in health insurance premiums due to the Obama Care law that is being implemented in contravention of a federal court’s ruling and our sacred constitution.  Where are the mass riots over Obama’s fuel and health care policies that have infringed upon our democratic institutions?

The media and the Democrats are focusing incessantly on the democratic crisis in Egypt while ignoring our own.  At least Hosni Mubarak has some justification for high food prices, namely; Obama’s QE2 and ethanol policies that have harshly affected Egypt’s market for food.  In regard to the subversion of democracy, well, Egypt has no democratic institutions or constitution for Mubarak to attenuate.  What can we say of President Obama who has vitiated the democratic institutions and constitution of the freest society in the world?

To borrow a statement from Robert Gibbs; what part of resign now don’t you understand, Mr. President?  Now, means yesterday!  Or, do you harbor more sympathy for the Muslim Brotherhood than your own citizens?

presidential candidate. His bill aimed to cut portion of US GDP to UN said everything. I wrote that he’s a moslem sympatizer if not outright islamic agent on Facebook way before 2008 elections.

Now, when islamo-communist got into position when he can bring the most harm to the “Great Satan” and immensely boost world islamism at the same time, he would do it until last moment possible. He will be sending taxpayers money to Moslem Brotherhood with his left hand even when his impeachment protocol will be in his right one. Moreover, in such an occasion he will send them everything he could reach as he wouldn’t need to keep “American Patriot” face anymore. Resign? And lose ability to send to islamists a few billions more, lose ability to turn dozen more countries into islamic khaliphates? What a ridiculous idea!

When the O gave his speech that Mubarak must listen to the people in his country, and step down now, I envisioned Mubarak giving that speech in Cairo back to Obama. Or Mubarak could have made a public speech where he said, Mr. Obama, you have driven your own country into the ditch, and you have the nerve to tell me what I should do in my country.

So far, we have had a very peaceful protest of Obama’s policies through polling. No violence, no bloodshed, and, Obama needs to keep it that way and change course (impossible) or step down and allow someone who respects America and her greatness to take the reigns. Oh, BTW, that wouldn’t be O’Biden, but I’ll take Boehner until the 2012 elections.

I know what you mean. The Presidential succession thing only worked back in the time when the VP could be from the opposite political party and would bring about some degree of change. Nowadays, it is garbage out, garbage in.

I’d even prefer Biden. I believe he at least sort of likes the U.S.A. and can identify with Americans.

and have felt that way since the presidential election, only it’s getting worse, and it’s real. I can’t believe what is happening to my beloved country. Does anyone remember Obama’s comment about the pitchforks? I keep fantasizing about the American people heading to the White House with pitchforks and saying , “get out!” If only.

    • realvoice2010

Yes, and I also remember O saying that he wanted a domestic army that was stronger than our armed forces. Also remember some criminals when arrested chided the cops by saying that they would be getting back at the cops now that O was elected. This has been the nightmare of many also. In a way, the SEIU goons and Acorn have filled some of these army shoes for a time, until exposed for what they are. Remember the creep with the baton at the polling place threatening people and nothing really happened to him? These are the things to remember. Also, the rev Wright, William Ayres, and other creeps that he consorted with? Remember Rham talking about taking advantage of us? Remember the communist that was exposed and left the administration? Remember him trashing us to the moslem world? Rembember the way he said the police acted stupidly because they found a man breaking into a house? They would do this regardles of race. What cop would ignore it? Also the silly beer meeting they had? Also the statement that electric rates were going to go very high. Also trying to tell us what to eat under the name of health care concerns. Individuals should have the right to do this right. I’m getting tired, but there are many many more indignities that we have had to suffer because of the fear of criticizing a black muslim president.

  • hoootie

Or, do you harbor more sympathy for the Muslim Brotherhood than your own citizens? A quote from your current post if I may ? Those are his own citizens. May I remind everyone that it was ODUMBO who stated on or about February 28,2008, that”if the political winds turned ugly he would side with the muslims”. The real problem here is peoples hearing. ODUMBO hasn’t hid anything. He’s told people right out in the open what he was going to do. Here’s another statement he made during the campaign..We’re only a few days away from FUNDAMENTALY changing this country. How about this one…We live in the greatest nation on earth, come join me and help me change it. He’s told this country in so many ways so many times what he was going to do to this nation and we stood there transfixed like a deer caught in the headlights. I feel safe in saying this. Our forefathers and founders would have been shooting by now. God save America because Americans certainly can’t or won’t !!!!!

    • http://redmeatconservative.blogspot.com/ dhorowitz3

so frustrating is the fact that the Republicans on the Hill aren’t arousing enough outrage over his energy, food, and foreign policy. I don’t here anyone demanding that he comply with the two court decisions or resign. Also, in light of the latest revelation of Obama spying on the UK for Russia, you would expect to hear more outrage from repubbies. We need three million people parked outside the White House.

      • leefromok

I think that is what they are hoping for.
They have been looking for an excuse to declare marshal law and all of us terrorists for things like reading the constitution.

        • realvoice2010

If we have large, peaceful demonstrations, we need not fear marshall law. When the left marches for their perverse political “causes”, where is the Marshall Law? They burn the flag and get away with it. Why are you afraid of marshall law being instituted? If he declares this because of peaceful gatherings, then it’s all over anyway, i.e., we waited too long to speak out. What about Glenn Beck’s massive rally? That worked very well and contributed to the Left party’s downfall in the elections of 2010. Don’t you get it? This is america. We can still gather peacefully and petition for change, but not for long if we are afraid to express our displeasure with the administration and it’s leadership. You(and many others) have let the media scare you into doing nothing but seething alone in rage.

      • realvoice2010

John Boehner seems to commiserate with the O’regime. He seem to be like a limp noodle now that he is in power. Yes, I know that he is pushing for cuts, and yes he musn’t get on other than economic issues, but I wanted to see more passion, more oomph in pushing back at the O’regime. We must push, in effect, 24×7 to do this. Us being the conservative media and voters. Of course O will continue to have supporters in the democratic party. This is the party of “Gimme, I want everything for free.” The secular jews won’t leave him, they subscribe to the gimme mentality (even those that are wealthy and educated and “smart”); the black block won’t change, the so called hispanic lobby won’t change much; the left leaning media won’t change. We have to nullify them by our activism and votes and adherence to the constitution.

  • ag8tor

Back when BHO wrote his first book about his upbringing he stated that if push comes to shove “I will stand with Islam”. Looks like he’s come to that point. It’s time for him to go and take the EPA, the Interior department, his disdain for the Constitution, his oppostition to capitalism and his love of Islam with him.We have never had a more distructive presence in the Whitehouse. He has stained the office of President with his continuing Socialist agenda.

  • conservative_dan

are some LEADERS, those in positions of power, to start calling a spade a spade and stop talking in political platitudes, as though this were a typical, conventional “Democrat” we were dealing with here. We are not. He is even a bane to his own party. We need our leaders, those in Congress and prospective Presidential candidates, to start talking in stark terms, as you all are here, about what is going on so the vast majority of Americans can hear what is really going on right under their noses. If Obama is that dangerous, and we know he is, then those in power MUST begin to oppose him in the strongest possible ways (and as the Bamster would say, let me be clear, WITHOUT violence). And I don’t believe anyone is doing that now. We must prevail on our representatives to ratchet up the urgency of stopping and defeating this man. It needs to be taken to a much higher level!

    • realvoice2010

conservative (not independent fence sitters) but conservative lawyers, conservative media, conservative arts, conservative schools, and conservative government. Remember conservative doesn’t mean being cheap and greedy and not doing anything for anyone, it means living up to the constitution and remembering that this country was formed “under God”. Yes the Christian God!

  • proudmarinemom

to Obama. Start thinking and behaving like an Alinskyite. Talk smooth and smile as you lie, cheat and trample those who would destroy this Republic.

Stop begging your Congressmen to listen. Pull the rug out from under them. Cut their funding — think about it. You know how.

No more civility. No more waiting until an election. Do it now.

He has to finish the job while millions of LittleLiberals cheer him on, call Normal People racists, and curse Fox News.

  • bus2dc

…It’s the forces behind him of course. But we know that. That we have managed to even slightly alter the course of the Titanic THIS much is a miracle, with all the billions of dollars, anti-American groups and foreign “support” funding him and his policies. This is an all-out war, and too many are still asleep. Many awoke, but have chosen to hunker down, cover for this monster, and hope they’ll win some protection when the collapse they are planning finally happens. Right.

Even if we DID stage an Egyptian protest of our own, it would be immediately infiltrated by Obama’s foot-soldiers, violence would break out, the Tea Party (or Christians?) would be blamed, and he’d enact martial law, finally, which I don’t doubt for a SECOND he’d do. These people MUST protect Obama. All their eggs are in one basket now, and they are creating an obvious GLOBAL perfect storm in the best grand chance in history to once and for all – and maybe forever – destroy America.

No, we nee to use our VOICE. More and more people are getting bold and speaking out now. Protecting our freedom of speech is ALL . We also DEFUND the hypocrites and publicly expose every single lie or flip-flop. Islam & the insane “sharia law” push needs to be stopped every time we catch it. SCREAM about it, make a fuss in your school or your workplace, and know your rights — THEY do!!!

Obama will NEVER resign. But we should NEVER give up. We have everything to lose, and absolutely NOTHING to gain by being quiet. We remove him with our VOICE and our VOTES. Hey, I didn’t think we’d make it to the mid-terms, seriously. So there’s hope. :)

quit. Just like President Bush would never have considered quitting despite the onslaught of vitriolic opposition. The president believes in what he is doing. I suspect that he is finding the realities of being president to be the most difficult challenge of his life and one for which he was not prepared. I also suspect that he is learning that reality doesn’t fit as well into his worldview now that he knows a lot more than he did when he was running for president. Yet he is stuck in his mold by not only his own ego but particularly by those who put him into power.

The saving grace is that Progressives are being outed, and I believe that the American people have once again rejected them as they did after Wilson. We have the power of the vote, and while Progressives look at us as a bunch of idiots, we’re idiots with the power to get them out and keep them out of power. It is our job now to educate our society against the true nature of government, to teach people to be weary of giving too many responsibilities or too much power to government. We also need to be very involved in the selection of our representatives. We cannot just choose on election day. We need to be promoting people of character, supporting them in their campaigns and their time in office, and keeping a close eye on them all the time. They have to know that if they don’t do the job right, they will be defeated in the next election. We cannot leave this work to the political machines and the news/opinion media. They are corrupt. We actually have to be involved to make politics work for the people – to keep us free. If we fail to do these things, we deserve what we get.

To that end, take a look at this Grassroots Bootcamp “teach in” that some of the tea party and other grass roots conservative organizations have put together for the last weekend of this month to teach conservatives some of the nuts-and-bolts of how to elect better people (look at the subject matters on the agenda):

He doesn’t have to. As I and other people have asked on other opinion sites, when are the people who can do something about him going to do it? It was laughable when he told Mubarack to listen to his people. O is trying to crush us. I ask again, when are the people who can do something with him going to stand up and do it?

A famous quote from a Shakespearean play, “Thou dost protest too much.” is befitting of this impostor. Obama (Barry Soetoro) has spent over 900,000 in campaign dollars trying to keep his private records from reaching the public eye. All total, including other ‘funding’ he has spent over 2 M. What is he trying to hide????
In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama’s qualifications for the presidency, the
group “Americans for Freedom of Information” has released copies of President Obama’s
college transcripts from Occidental College …

The transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a
foreign student from Indonesia while an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released
by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the
Superior Court of California . The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial
aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program.
To qualify for this scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship.
This document provides the smoking gun that many of Obama’s detractors have been seeking -
that he is NOT a natural-born citizen of the United States – necessary to be President of these
United States. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya , here we see that there is
no record of him ever applying for US citizenship..
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation
of Obama’s campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000
in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block
disclosure of any of his personal records.

Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still on-going but that the final report will be provided
to the U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused comment on this matter.

I’m retired military. The bureaucracy in charge of retired pay (DFAS) will not explain why. Perhaps they cannot, but either way, I am unable to get the government to explain it to me. Since the House kept the tax rates the same for low-end pay (as mine surely is), can I assume it is some Obamacare facet which has ended my ability to afford to live? Or could it be that “they” are beginning the battle with us “extremists” who retired from military service? I have always believed that one of the first things Obama would do when the fighting starts will be to try to starve out military retirees. Is this it? BTW, IRS was no help either. Hmm.

There is no way that Obama will ever step down voluntarily for the following reasons:
#1) He is far too much in love with himself.
#2) This country is on the verge of collapse and serious major disaster; largely due to what he has done or not done. Every poll shows that most Americans blame Obama’s policies & regulations for it. His approval ratings continue to decline. The list goes on and on.
#3) Regardless of what is clearly staring him in the face; he still believes that he’s a great president, he has the country headed in the right direction and his ends will justify the means.

There are just no words to describe Barak Obama. But I’m 99.9% sure that he will NEVER volunteer to step down.

to be fair, act fair, fight fair, not whine, not make demands! We were taught to work hard, to think, to invent, to fight, to defend our families! This was what we learned before the sixties when all hell of marxism broke loose in this country. I’m talking education and upbringing! We must get back to the honorable principles. People, even those that are now coming over to the conservative side (yes, even some generation x), have truly been brainwashed by the politically correct federal government. This has spilled over to the corporate sector’s HR departments, which have become cesspools of anti-white male discrimination in both hiring and firing. We have to become fanatics (not lying like the left), but in teaching the constitution and following the proper procedures in changing laws. We are so fed up with this anti-american, anti-christian, anti-catholic and pro-perversion of the Left. What pussies we have become to let this happen. All we’ve done is focus on consumption of goods and services to extreme excell. Ok, that is also good for the economy, but not at the cost of our sanity. Many of us have given up, we’ve accepted the 20 bucks a week from stimulus(Obama) and accepted our unemployment checks-it’s natural to want that in this lousy economy, but it can’t and isn’t lasting forever. You see, while we’ve been working all our lives, the members of the “party of gimmee all for free” have had their own stimulus(welfare, food stamps going for freaking years). This is nothing new to these free loaders and slackers. We’ve got the responsibilty to get rid of this way of life, and educate growing kids to be the best they can be and not give unfari advantages to so call minorities. They are becoming the majority and still want to be treated as “minorities.” Let’s get going and reverse these perverse negative trends wherever and whenever we can.
