Much Needed Straight Talk from Rep. Walsh: Quit Lying, Mr. President

There has been much ink spilled trying to determine the best political strategy for Republicans in dealing with the debt ceiling.  Throughout the process, many Republicans have ceded ground to Obama by credulously buying into the premise that failure to raise the debt ceiling will spell disaster for the country.

Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL), one of those unvarnished freshmen conservatives, cuts thought the clutter and reminds Obama and fellow Republicans why people like himself were elected to Congress.  While everyone is focused on the fight over tax increases, many Republicans are forgetting that the $2, $3, or even $4 trillion in supposed spending cuts are nothing but unverifiable accounting gimmicks that are based upon some contrived baseline.  Even if they would represent real cuts, the $4 trillion in deficit reduction would only extirpate $400 billion annually from a $1.4-1.6 trillion yearly deficit.

This three-minute video message should serve as a model for all Republicans as they “negotiate” with a proven liar:

This is what real conservative leadership looks like.  Are you watching, Senator McConnell?

Cut, Cap, Balance – or bust!

Obama can’t be trusted with more of “OUR MONEY”

The Obama Administration is slowing job creation by using OUR MONEY to create a tsunami of regulations, regulators, and IRS agents: blocking water to farms in California, shutting down the US light-bulb industry, pushing airplane manufacturing offshore, killing the drilling and mining industries, etc.

They are incompetent at “investing” OUR MONEY: Cash for Clunkers, Turtle Tunnels, Bridges to Nowhere, subsidies to Brazil for energy exploration, building Train lines, etc.

They are using OUR MONEY to sue the States we live in.

They are giving OUR MONEY away to their political supporters.

The Obama Administration is using OUR MONEY to censor and restrict the Internet.

Democrats are creating 2,500 page bills to hide how they are spending OUR MONEY.

Time to put an end to this!!

As much as I love Joe, I wish he would reconsider his time in Congress. He needs to be the Governor of this backward and pathetic state of ILL-ANNOY.

Joe is the kind of people we need more of and we need people like him in leadership.

Right John (Boehner). Right Mitch (McConnell).

What happened the last time a House rep with an “R” after his name applied the “Lie” word on the Dem’s dear leader?

I’m not much for a Constitutional Amendment regarding the budget. Congress, and pretty much all of the Federal Government ignores it and/or rewrites it (living, breathing document) whenever they feel like it. They’ll either ignore it outright or else rewrite the dictionary; creating new words for “spending” and rewriting the meaning of “balance” to suit their whims.

Everytime I see an intelligent and insightful excoriation of Obama’s legion misdeeds and wrong-thinking, it occurs to me that his unspoken response is, “Hey, old white boy, don’t you know that I’m doing exactly what I want. I don’t care that your worshipped entrepreneurs work 24/7 for years to make their fortune while employing Americans. Matter of fact, I don’t like your so-called work ethic and want rid of it, old white boy. I don’t care that I’m trashing the old white boy’s economy, it’s exactly what I want to happen. You think I care about jobs for anybody? Hell no! I want to be the FoodStampPresident. Who needs a job and think it’s his or her money. It ain’t. It’s mine to do what I want. Lookie here old white boy, everyday now your precious wealth is being drained out of your and your old white boy’s treasury. I’m sending some of that wealth to MY people. TARP, Stimulus, CashForClunkers, theft of GM, etc, old white dude, they’re my reparations for white boy domination of coloreds the world over. You think I don’t know what I’m doing? Get real old white boy. I’ll neuter your patriotic old white boy USA until it’s nothing more than Greece. Hah, hah, hah, you stupid America-loving old white boy. Keep up your bitchin’ old white boy. You’re history.”

The time to communicate in the same language/logic as Obama has never occurred. His agenda gives no quarter to liberty, free-market economics and fiscal sanity, traditional American culture and society. We waste our breath trying to talk to this guy. We should be talking to the few Democrats and Independents in appeal to any sense of sanity they may still possess.

  • swi2522

you have a complete of him.
i know evil when i see it and obama has no intension of negotiating fairly or even a desire to negotiate

a very long time. Thank you Rep. Walsh.

0bama has feet of clay, and his weaknesses are lighting up like a Christmas tree right now. A bit more public pressure by the R’s will reveal his true nature to all – not even his presstitutes can hide it any longer.

“You’ve spent money like a drunken sailor for three years.”

    I respectfully disagree.

+ Drunken sailors eventually sober up.
+ Drunken sailors don’t stay drunk for three years.
+ Drunken sailors only spend their OWN money.
+ Drunken sailors don’t pass laws forcing other sailors to spend their money on specific products they don’t want to buy.
+ Drunken sailors fight FOR our country.
+ Drunken sailors OPPOSE our enemies.
+ Drunken sailors don’t propose taxes on sober sailors to pay for their drunken times.
+ Drunken sailors eventually pay their bar tabs.

I respectfully suggest that Rep. Walsh owes an apology to drunken sailors everywhere, for comparing them to a socialist spendthrift.
