Carry (Nation) Bloomberg Rides Again
It is a good thing that elected officials know so much about how to run our lives. First trans-fats, then salt, then sugary drinks, then Alcohol (well, almost). NY City Mayor Bloomberg may as well pick up the hatchet used by Carry Nation on her crusades in the 1920′s.

Playing Obama, It’s Recess Time
So now it seems the executive branch of our government thinks it rules over the legislative branch. King Obama can now (regardless of what the Constitution says) tell congress that they are officially in recess, so he can appoint the people he wants, without those pesky confirmation votes.

Budget Realities come Home To Roost
Like the proponents of Ohio’s Issue 2 tried to point out before the November vote, keeping the status quo for Ohio public union salaries, benefits, and pensions was unsustainable.
A yes vote would’ve kept Ohio Senate Bill 5 as law, and tried to reign in the runaway spending and debt being heaped on the state. Unions spent over $50M to defeat Issue 2, as evidenced by the utter proliferation of “No on 2″ signs that sprouted all over the state.
