The One Term President

One Term

We heard it all through the run up to the election, and we’ve been hearing it ever since. I guess we should’ve seen it coming…the one term that “The Won” keeps repeating… the one term that will define his presidency…“This is all George Bush’s fault!!”

In fairness, though, there are other terms coming from the teleprompters (“Let me be clear” and “This is my top priority”) but we all know what we will remember.

Remember that he has a huge built in coalition of zealots that give him a solid base. A lot depends upon whether the newly elected Republicans in Nov, can stop the downward slide of this nation,

In so far as that happens Obama will get the credit, that is just the way it is.

But even more depends upon who we choose to run against him. Another lackluster candidate and he can get a second term.

when we take back the house in November, we can’t go back to spending like D’s. We need to start acting (on the national level) like Christie in NJ. Start making the cuts that need to be made.

And correct again, on the choice for 2012. It is early, but I hope some strong candidates start showing up before then.

Obama getting a second term is easy for him.

All the Republicans have to do is run another establishment candidate like Romney and it will be handed to him on a silver platter (again) because all he will get is the small neocon republican base.

Run a Ron Paul style libertarian leaning candidate, who is truly for small government and limited powers, who has the guts to veto wasteful bill after bill after bill, and you will bring in a HUGE portion of the independents that Obama has lost.

But the big government Republicans will never do such a thing, they like their massive federal power too much.

And after Obama’s second term, it probably will be too late to get some libertarian changes because by that time, there will be more looters and robbers than there will be producers in the USA and it will be game over.

After that, we can talk about which candidate for the big chair we want.

Miller said that Obamas’ been on the road so much it’s less Hope & Change and more Hope & Crosby.
Not sure if that relates to the topic but it made me laugh.

Where I live OTP means outside the perimeter. Now it means one term president. The only person so far that’s getting me excited is Paul Ryan.

Romney? I voted for him in 2008. If his message resonates and he comes out as a true Conservative, I’d do it again.

Both MEN,[as opposed to the nasty snot in the WH] went about their business. There may have been mentions of previous conditions, but whining?, not a bit of it.
You could say that’s a snapshot of the difference between liberals and normal people.

From the Roger Simon of Politico, not the one on PJ media.
Can Obama be a one term President?
    He might last that long.

It’s getting pretty bad when one of your partisans starts cracking on you.

The story of Sharron Angle in Nevada should be a good lesson for conservatives. I like the Tea Party as much as the next guy. But handing a lifeline to Harry Reid was not a particularly brilliant idea. The truth is, we don’t need to make some type of revolution in order to depose Obama. Let’s not forget that most of the independents who voted for Obama in ’08 are centrists and they do not share our zeal for libertarian principles. Otherwise, Obama would’ve never gotten the majority of the votes. We can either have a perfect candidate or the one who replaces this commie from Chicago. I’d rather go with the latter option.

      Don’t do it again.

At some point I’m just going to start banning people who give us a load of sour grapes whining that their preferred candidates lost the primaries.

      Be advised.

    • eburke

      Yeah…suuuure ya do.

So, alanh, what exactly have you done since the NV primary to help Sharron get elected?

      Hmmmmmmm?

Hussein has absolutely no intention of reducing the deliberate and well planed destruction of his most hated nation to a term of only 4 years. Between now and election day, 2012, we’ll have 40-50 million new democrat voters, currently known as Mexican illegals. Non-existent funds will be POURING into hotbeds of democrat support, from downtown Chicago and Detroit to Oakland, New York, LA and New Orleans. Unions will be emptying pension funds and general coffers, donating hundreds of millions to the campaign, knowing full well that taxpayers will replenish the bare accounts. And the MSM will work doubly hard to accuse any and all critics of the ONE of racism most foul!! My hope is that the stupid, vapid, ignorant female population of the United States…the same electorate which placed Slick Willie and Hussein in office in the first place, will either stay home or have mass PMS, forcing a bed-ridden sick day on that Tuesday.

I agree that it is asking for trouble to start proclaiming him a one term President at this point. However, the end of your post is a little harsh for my tastes.

      Directors, what say you? 11 days and counting . . . . .

    • Bill S

So to save you from their wrath, I am recommending that your tenure be ended now.

promising conservative values, then betrayed that commitment, is lower than the corresponding percentage of men.

I read Simon’s Politico piece and did an article on my own in rebuttal. I agree with his general conclusion that Obama will be a one-termer, but for somewhat different reasons. I disagree with the analysis of Simon, and I wonder just how many people – especially Christians and/or people who believe in and uphold values – caught it.

Here. I think my argument and article kind of fell apart at the end, but as a relative says, listen to what I mean, not what I’m saying!
