Just when they thought it was safe

Bigger Boat

Just when the Democrats thought it was safe to go back into the election waters, the thing they feared most has awakened, and it isn’t happy.

Yes, candidate Obama told us he was going to “fundamentally transform” America. He knew what he meant by that phrase, but Americans didn’t. What he didn’t know, however, was that his attempts to transform America would trigger an awakening throughout the nation.

Once Americans began to understand what Obama’s “fundamental transformation” meant (taxing, borrowing, spending, ramming through legislation that we didn’t want, Socialism, etc, etc, etc) the conservative core of the country was shaken from its slumber. America is rubbing the “hope&change” sleep out of its eyes.

For all the Republicans that win seats in November, you need to remember what got us to this point. You need to stay true to the constitution. You need to not buy into the idea that government is supreme, and that its growth is a foregone conclusion.

For all the Democrats that thought they were cementing their re-elections, by overwhelmingly supporting Obama’s agenda, you are going to need a bigger boat than that.

how wide Madam Speakers smile will be Nov 3.

    • spinoneone

Mr. Boehner’s smile will be on November 3rd, We can assume the former Speaker’s mouth will be in a snarl.

But we shouldn’t become overconfident .We haven’t won until the entire Obama agenda is repealed and we finish the job in November de 2012!

This war to roll back a hundred years of big government statism will take a hundred years to complete. It is not won on voting day 2012, but will begin to be rolled back if a Republican president is elected on Jan 20, 2013. Until and even after that time we must be ever vigilant.

Congress is adjourning without passing a budget.

Sadly, that is par for the course nowadays.

BUT… this year, the Dems haven’t even SUGGESTED a budget. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

How can ANYONE vote for these people? This is the ultimate fiscal irresponsibility!

    • izoneguy

Other people who are fiscal irresponsibe.
There are millions of folks who fall into this category….
Add in all the union goons, government employees, public sector state and local government employees and it all adds up.
These people are not going to go lightly. Their livihoods must be destroyed, just as they are trying to destroy the private sector.
This is a war. A non-shooting (so far) war being waged everyday.
When many more “moderate” independents & republicans understand that the better. It is grit your teeth, put on your pads and kick some ass time.

The unintended consequence wrought by Obama’s fundamental transformation appears to be the collapse of Cumbre Vieja.

Politics is a pendulum. It was a matter of time before liberal majorities were replaced, albeit, not as rapidly as it may happen this cycle.

The powerful change that is taking place is the rejection of the career RINO/politician, It’s one thing to confront and politically battle the left. They see things differently, and that’s fine and dandy. Let that battle continue. What has been the most difficult circumstance in the conservative cause were the ones sent as our advocates who were something else from the start, or became that way after too much time in WDC.

The stunning thing in my mind is that we just MAY be able to clean our own house AND snag majorities in the process.

With left leaning judiciaries throughout the country, and powerful entrenched bureaucracies, the battle will never be over.

We are undoing and rebuilding the semblance of a conservative party. Even with majorities, the fundamental changes in our government will be daunting and lengthy.

If it is going to happen, we are in the midst of the first steps. The man most responsible is none other than our fearless leader. Maybe the first act of a Republican Congress (in the vein of the Nobel Committee) would be to make our President an honorary member of the Republican Party.

The critical thing that we have to achieve, IMHO, is a return to our government as originally intended, i.e., one of limited powers. That way government can’t readily vex its citizenry.

But to get there, we also have to find a creative way (or ways) to help people to understand why it makes sense to shackle the government monster.

Of course, it’s possible that a broader understanding of how monstrous the government is becoming is beginning to grow across the land….
