Rest In Peace Andrew

You are an American Hero.

Great job Toby.

I am sickened,

TobyToons (Diary) Thursday, March 1st at 3:45PM EDT (link)

but not surprised in the least, by the pure hate that is flowing from the left with regard to Breitbart. I’m sure there will be lots of documentation of the hateful people out there, but I wanted to point out something that I just heard on the radio.

I heard a caller say that he was rejoicing the death of the Disgusting human being. Secondly, it is a good day that he is gone from this earth, and there are many more (from the Right) that need to follow him.

This pretty much sums up the way the Left deals with people they don’t agree with. Look at the past, at the way they treated blacks in the south (forming the KKK, Jim Crow laws, etc.), look at the totalitarian regimes through the years (Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol-Pot, etc.) – their ultimate solution to dealing with people that don’t agree with them is… death (either forcing it, or celebrating it as we see today).

The Left makes me sick.

“A government at bottom is nothing more than a group of men, and as a practical matter most of them are inferior men… Yet these nonentities, by the intellectual laziness of men in general… are generally obeyed as a matter of duty [and] assumed to have a kind of wisdom that is superior to ordinary wisdom.” -H.L. Menken

Brietbart reveled in Kennedy’s passing, calling him ” a piece of human excrement”. High horses are dangerous places.

Note, folks: wantthegopback waited until Andrew was gone...

Moe Lane (Diary) Thursday, March 1st at 4:26PM EDT (link)

…before he went after him.

Also note: despising a man who abandoned a woman to slowly drown = abandoning a woman to slowly drown, according to wantthegopback. Now THAT little bit of low-rent behavior you’re going to apologize for, Sparky. Next post, or last post, and you’ve got five minutes before I assume silence equals cowardice.

he's dead, Jim

streiff (Diary) Thursday, March 1st at 4:28PM EDT (link)

sorry, Moe, he won’t be responding unless you have a Ouija board

“What keeps me here is the reek of beer, the ladies and the craic”

Ain't that a shame.

I was so looking forward to seeing the fellow splutter about my highly-accurate assessment of his lack of couth.

Calling a man who leaves a young woman to drown

aesthete (Diary) Thursday, March 1st at 5:18PM EDT (link)

in a car that he drunkenly crashed “a piece of human excrement”? Why, I never! Next you’ll be telling me that he had some unkind things to say about OBL and Hussein upon their demises.

“It is a popular delusion that the government wastes vast amounts of money through inefficiency and sloth. Enormous effort and elaborate planning are required to waste this much money.”

No matter how correct you think you are...

I agree that trashing the dead on the day of their death serves no meaningful purpose other than to lower the standard of civility and political discourse in this country. Going off decorum only exemplifies a lot of what is broken about our culture without in any way absolving the dead or ensuring that they are “beatified,” whatever that means. Using a little restraint on the day someone dies out of respect — even if not for the victim –but for the surviving family who regardless of what that person was are actually grieving for the loss, may seem a quaint notion in this day of badasses and tough talk but it still is the RIGHT thing to do.

Just what we didn't need, the loss of another conservative voice before November

independentconservative (Diary) Thursday, March 1st at 3:52PM EDT (link)

Please don’t take this the wrong way, I mean it as a sign of respect, but with America becoming ever leftist and these idiot youth voters still in love with Obama (51% approval rating compared to 48% for the rest of the US) and the massive flood of illegals that vote 2:1 in favor of Democrats, we need all the conservatives and conservative voices we can get. This is a huge loss right before the election. First Tony Blankey and now this. :(

Tony was a real loss

wantthegopback Thursday, March 1st at 4:19PM EDT (link)

forloss for the conservative movement. However, IMHO, Brietbart had lost a lot of his credibility and power. He was no longer effective IMHO. Death is a tragedy, esp at 43…… But it’s effect on the conservative cause? I think minimal.

Tony was a great man, but otherwise I disagree.

Breitbart changed conservatism on the Internet and mass media.

Our primary political obstacles are the fact that we have ceded all efforts within popular culture and are resigned to safe zones in the MSM.

Breitbart was the kind of guy who could go on any MSM outlet and advance the ball.

There are few people on our side who could go onto hostile shows on MSNBC, Bill Mahr, etc. and actually advance the ball.

More so than any other conservative, he brought the conservative message to mass culture.

His approach to media was unique and make him worth mentioning in the same sentence as Limbaugh and Buckley.

Did you know that China has been losing manufacturing jobs since 1995? For the specific data, see Table 1 in the following link: http://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2005/07/art2full.pdf

Remember Guys, The left don't hate Andrew because of anything he said or did or believed...

kyle8 (Diary) Thursday, March 1st at 5:49PM EDT (link)

I am sure that he had faults, maybe he went to far some of the time. But none of those things are why they are so filled with rage against Breitbart.

They hate him because he was EFFECTIVE in revealing their plots and shenanigans.

“Nothing works like freedom, Nothing succeeds like liberty”
Kyle

Indeed they did.

I needed to smile today. It’s been rough, realizing we conservatives are facing a world without our BIGgest champion. But others will rise to the call and fight on. Andrew Breitbart taught us how to be warriors, and we will continue the fight for our country. Rest in peace, friend of us all.
