THE War On Women

THE War On Women

The White House is now trying to backpedal from the incessantly repeated talking point of a ‘Republican War On Women.’ It is easy to see why. It backfired on them. Towards the end of the week, we found out that female staffers in the White House earn almost 20% less than the male staffers. Who, again, is looking out for women?

Not only has the “War on Women” backfired, but we now know Obama paid a lower tax rate than his secretary. Didn’t the Pres say that was “immoral”?
You can’t claim he was just taking deductions he qualified for, he could have paid a higher rate if he wanted to set an example. Or he could send a check to the govt. fund dedicated to lowering the deficit.
Do as I say, not as I do, I suppose.

and poof, the issue blows up in their canine faces. I wonder if any of them get it, that as always they were had. Sadly the “War” will drop down the memory hole like a brick, to be replaced by another rage fulfilling non-issue. Gone, like it never happened.

That the majority of Americans see through the dems and their hypocrisy.

The first lesson we have to learn is the turn of the phrase, and stating factual information, while making it sound worse by the information we impart, and the way that we impart it. The Left Media has been doing this for years.

As an example from the text below the toon:
“…we found out that female staffers in the White House earn almost 20% less than the male staffers.”

Can be stated just as factually:
“…we found out that male staffers in the White House earn almost 25% more than the female staffers.”

We just stated the same information with the same statistic, but we looked at it from the opposite direction. Still just as bad, but we made it sound 5% worse, just by changing the order of division.

This is the kind of thing the left uses to make us look bad, and once we master the same tactic, there will never be another liberal in the White House again.

And the best part is that Saul Alinsky didn’t invent this technique.

I find it hard to believe that Mrs. Romney was like most stay-at-home moms. Given the Romney wealth, I am sure Ann had a cook, who planned the menus, bought the groceries, cooked the food, cleaned up. And there was probably a housekeeper who supervised some other maids who dusted the furniture, made the beds, did the laundry, folded it, and put it away. I am certain that when the boys were small Ann had a nanny or two. And I am sure that neither Mitt nor Ann mowed the lawns or tended the flower beds at their homes. There was probably a chauffeur who took the children to their extra-curricular activites and other appointments and took Ann to wherever she needed to go. What was there left for Ann to do in raising the boys?

Did I miss something or has someone already detailed all the help that Ann Romney had (in the past) and still has today. I’ll bet it’s a small army of servants.?
I’d like to see a discussion from someone about the help.

      Your point?

How will this help us determine who is the best to govern as President?

The scene you are describing comes from a 1982 blockbuster:

It would be great if you could do the homework that you’re trying to assign to RedState readers. I truly hope the Romneys had a least a Nanny or a Brady Bunch Alice. When I was in grad school, we used my stipend to hire a nanny for our four children. The process of applying for an employer ID number and withholding federal and state income tax was an education in itself. We were most surprised by the fact that employers pay into Social Security above what is withheld from the employee’s paycheck. The paperwork involved for compliance at the local, county, state, and federal level was a complete pain in the posterior and gave us a new appreciation for small business owners in this country.

If you’re so concerned. The rest of us will concern ourselves with something that matters.

Let us know what you find with your research into the Romney ‘help.’ I’d wager that the Romney’s, IF they had help while Ann was fighting both major diseases, paid them what they were worth, UNLIKE the unequal pay that women in the White House seem to find (kinda the point of the cartoon after all).
