Lots of reports of long lines, both standing & in the drive-in lanes. Many stores will probably double or triple their daily sales.

    • littlehouse18

Amazing how they kept coming in droves, and lots of discussions about saving this country too. Our local one had a very festive atmosphere and lines were out both doors, and the drive thru wrapped around the whole building. This was all before 6 pm.

One lady had somehow missed the news and asked what was going on. She said she had never seen it liked that before.

….this morning and PBS ( Palestinian Broadcasting System) Frontline was there. The truck was still there at 12:30. At 9:30 there was a semi delivering massive food supply.

    • franklinjr

“Palestinian” is good, haven’t heard that one. I use “Partisan Broadcasting System” and there’s always Mark Levin’s “National Pubic Radio”. Anyone else? This could be a fun contest.

like every other report, it was packed. He just kept saying… “This is Awesome!” over and over.

Love the drawing. I can’t wait to see the figures on how much Chik-Fil-A made today. When I went today it was crazy busy, and that was at just one of the many locations in my area.

  • Tbone

    so to speak.

  • 6eorge Jetson

The parking lot was packed and there was a long line of cars going thru the drive thru. Dang, they were out of chicken salad sandwiches and ice cream.

To be clear, I support gay marriage if done through the legislative process. And it should be a one-pager, no hidden statist landmines.

Dan Cathy’s comments? Big deal. He’s just echoing the President from a few months ago.

Rahm Emmanuel’s exploitation of Cathy’s comments to assume dictator powers? Dangerous as hell. That’s why I go to Chick-Fil-A, to support the target of statist aggression. (And because it’s tasty.)

    • naraht

The gays knew that Obama was with them on pretty much everything other than marriage and they expected *that* to change *after* the 2012 election, and probably would have if the Hollywood mafia hadn’t insisted on it as a condition of financial support. In short Obama was with them on 95%+ of the issues.

Do you really think that Cathy’s opinions on “Gay Rights” are anywhere near Obamas on *anything* else?

Has Obama given money to organizations which support constitutional amendments to preserve traditional Marriage, Cathy has.

Heck, it wouldn’t surprise me if Cathy wanted Lawrence v. Texas overturned.

There may come a time when a candidate will only get the support of gays if he/she supports full “marriage” rights, but it isn’t today,

  • leftylurker

And if Antoine Dodson is cool with Chick-fil-a then who am I to complain?

I have to say, it hurt me right in the Constitution when morons like Rahm E and the mayor of Boston were talking about banning the restaurant…alas.

to decide if a business will be allowed to operate.

(I was just going to ask if they had grilled chicken thanks. I think I’ll try one this week.)

They need it back on the menu!

I miss CFA here in MN.

    • franklinjr

We’re lucky to have a CF in central PA. Lines of people into each of two doors into the store; drive-thru was, no kidding, 1/4-mile long and snaked throught the shopping center and out onto the 4-lane access road. Hordes of customers. A beautiful sight!

  • DerKrieger

…of the universe, Bentonville AR, home of Wal-Mart and the CFA down from the Home Office was packed all afternoon. Traffic was backed up down Walton Blvd for a mile because of people waiting in line to get into CFA. It was a beautiful sight!

Will the thought police of the Left learn anything from this?

    • The_Rebel

is that this turnout for CFA is but a prelude to the turnout that will take place on November 6. And we know who is enthusiastic and who isn’t. What happened in Texas and Georgia last night are not just anecdotes.

      • techsan

        Agreed.

From Racine, WI (only one in the state…and it’s south of Milwaukee in the SE corner of the state).

At 1:45 p.m., there were approximately 225 people standing in line, a line with an hour-and-a-half wait.

Curt Pruitt, general manager of Regency Mall, 5538 Durand Ave., estimated that from the time Chick-fil-A opened at 10 a.m. to a little before 2 p.m., more than 2,000 had gone through the line.

One customer came from northern Wisconsin and drove five hours for lunch at the restaurant, said Jamie Suller, store operator at the Racine Chick-fil-A.

There will many more lines on Nov. 6.

      • franklinjr

You’ve written what I’ve been thinking..

  • dirtdog

Not sure if its as widely known that a same-gender activist “Kiss-In” event is to be held at Chick-fil-A’s on Friday, August 3. I don’t know exactly what this “Kiss-In” will look like, and I’d like to keep it that way, but the culture war calls to all of us. Why not repeat this support on Friday and overwhelm this oppostion to Dan Cathy’s remarks. Sort of like the Patriot Guard showing up to drown out Fred Phelps’ protests at our military funerals.

May God bless the Chick-fil-A franchise, and may the opposition repent and find forgiveness!

    • Stan(ley) Pruss

Going through the drive through – hope my brakes work.

    • chbroussard

We made our point on Wednesday in a very big way. Let’s give the other side their day Friday. Sometimes it’s just better to sit back and give people enough rope to hang themselves, which I think is what will happen Friday. I’m guessing that the majority of the protesters that show up Friday will be the “in your face” crowd and will not do their cause any favors. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of supporters of gay marriage that are just shaking their heads in disgust with the comments of the city mayors and are smart enough to know that this is not the way to sway people’s opinions. So I suggest we just sit back, let them have their protest day, and let Americans see how people display their difference of opinion.

    • Common_Cents

      They’d be sneaky like that.

The video from a CFA where the guy approaches the CBS truck and they tell him they aren’t covering the huge lines because its NOT a protest. You know they will be back to cover the 2 person “protest” on friday.

      • tnfriendofcoal101368

The CFA out of the final cut or show you from the head up and still count ya as part of the swap spit in.

        • dirtdog

I appreciate the comments to my initial post…all points are very good. Regarding the distinction between the supporters and the protesters, there will be a very noticeable difference. The protesters will not be there to buy food, only to be seen. The media will be there regardless, hoping to portray a large group of protesters and a ordinary day of business. What if, in the background, there are hundreds of people waiting in line TO BUY FOOD!

Regardless I respect the opinions of all of you who weighed in on this subject. I am planning to go, and leave my coupons at home. Looking forward to seeing how it shakes out Friday! Do you suppose CBS news will completely ingore the story the way they did Wednesday?!

Reported about lunch at the downtown Birmingham CFA on the Morning Briefing. On my way to church, I passed a different location around 6:45 pm. Both drive-thru lanes packed. Inside packed.

Heard reports at church that other locations were packed. One friend said if everybody who went to CFA today votes in November, we’ll win by a landslide.

There’s no CFA in my hometown in TN, but one of my nieces was going to be in a neighboring town and was planning on taking a bag to my mom and other family members. They ran out of chicken while she was in line.

After church around 8:30 pm, I stopped by the CFA closest to our house to get a milkshake. Both drive-thru lanes packed. The line on the road to get to the drive-thru was backed up at least half a mile coming in from two directions. Inside the restaurant packed. They had a sign on the door asking folks to try and clear the tables within 30 minutes to accommodate the crowd.

What struck me at each location was that I saw young and old, professional and blue collar, black and white, singles and families. Picture perfect snapshot of diversity at work standing up for free speech.

    • westcoastpatriette

I witnessed the same thing in terms of the diversity of ages and races at the CFA I went to today. And the excitement in the air was palpable. There’s nothing like like-minded people getting together to support a cause. Especially today with the media so dominated by propaganda leftists. They greatly exaggerate to make it sound like we are the minority and their insulting bullhorn just keeps getting louder and louder.

The left is losing this issue, though. I saw Rahm Emanuel on TV today and he looks like hell warmed over — looks like he has aged twenty years since he left the O’s administration. Liberalism is evil and makes people ugly.

    • naraht

I actually went through 270towin giving the toss-up states with what I thought was significant Chick-fil-a presence according to the company website to the Republicans and those without the Democrats. This gave some interesting results (Nevada has *no* Chick-fil-a stores!). So I gave Nevada, Iowa, and New Hampshire to the Dems and Colorado, Florida, North and South Carolina (270towin has that as tossup, really?), to the GOP. This gave Obama 263, Romney 257 with Ohio still to be assigned. So it comes down to Ohio, more or less where we’ve been for the last 1000 days.

      • acat

And better, you can copy and paste a link to your map here.

        Like this.

      • APA Guy

But I don’t think it will. I think by Election Day, states like NV, IA and NH will swing toward Romney…as will most other swing states, including MI.

        • commonsenseobserver

The auto bailouts help Obama there, of course, but Gov. Kasich has also made the economic situation there much better. Perhaps that would have an impact?

Team Romney’s focusing on Florida in its latest ad.

          • naraht

Perhaps, The question is who is more popular in Ohio, Obama or Kasich. OTOH, the Ohio Republican Party seems less divided than it was 6 months ago.

          • APA Guy

            I know Hoosiers haven’t :)

        • naraht

I’d love to see someone who does significant simulation of the election (Not sure who other than Nate Silver would qualify) to calculate the percentage likelihood of Romney wins and Obama wins Ohio and the Obama wins and Romney wins Ohio percentages, my guess is that both are fairly small percentages.

Just remember O winning Kerry States + NM and OH = a Tie (which is a Romney Win)

Who in their right mind would want to feed themselves and their children these chemicals!

    • streiff

is chemically indistinguishable from any other beef.

If your “organic grain fed beef” burger is served on a “bun” it is going to have the same additives.

      But thanks for playing.
