Rep. Tom Price came on my program today to discuss his “Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act.” Why is this important? Because the regulating entity of Obamacare is in trouble for discriminating against, and persecuting, conservatives. Even more unbelievable:

The Internal Revenue Service official in charge of the tax-exempt organizations at the time when the unit targeted tea party groups now runs the IRS office responsible for the health care legislation.

Sarah Hall Ingram served as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012. But Ingram has since left that part of the IRS and is now the director of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act office, the IRS confirmed to ABC News today.

Her successor, Joseph Grant, is taking the fall for misdeeds at the scandal-plagued unit between 2010 and 2012. During at least part of that time, Grant served as deputy commissioner of the tax-exempt unit.

The very official who oversaw rampant discrimination and illegal persecution is in charge of Obamacare. Do you trust these people to allow you the best care possible? I don’t.

Price Introduces “Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act”

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Price, M.D (R-GA) issued the following statement after introducing the Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013 (H.R. 2009) – legislation that would prohibit the Internal Revenue Service from implementing or enforcing any provisions of the president’s health care law.

“Less than a week ago the American people learned what many had already suspected that the IRS had inappropriately abused its authority to target and intimidate certain individuals and organizations trying to practice their right to free speech,” said Rep. Price. “This comes at the same time that the Obama Administration is rolling out the implementation of its health care law which invests enormous powers in the IRS. The same agency that just committed an appalling violation of the American people’s trust is going to be at the forefront of enforcing the health care law, including the individual mandate which will require every citizen to prove to this agency that they’ve purchased government-dictated health care coverage.

“When it comes to an individual’s personal health care decisions, no American should be required to answer to the IRS – an agency that just forfeited its claim to a reputation of impartiality. It has always been an untenable and unacceptable scenario, and we ought to take this common sense step to take the IRS out of health care.”

This is the action we need to see, and need to see quickly. We can’t trust them to regulate tax exemptions without prejudice, so how can we entrust them to do the same with out health care?
