Morning Musings

In order to keep the Morning Briefing short, I’m breaking out my morning musings into this separate post.

We Have Someone

The Wall Street Journal is reporting this morning that we have someone in custody. The man, from Pakistan, was attempting to leave the country. He is somehow connected, or believed to be connected, to the Times Square car bomb.

Whaaa . . . ?

We’ve released the classified data on exactly how many nuclear weapons we have. The world has always had to guess. The administration thinks doing this will get other countries to be as transparent.

No, other countries will now laugh at the fool we elected President.

Everything Barack Obama does makes sense if you consider Barack Obama believes the United States to be the chief threat to peace in the world. It’s the only way to explain everything he has done.

Terror

It looks like it could be international terrorism behind the potential New York City bomb.

Folks, I’ve asked repeatedly over the years how many people are going to die because of Barack Obama undermining our national security. So far, thank God, none. But luck is not a national security policy and so far it seems Barack Obama has gotten lucky, mostly, save for Fort Hood and a few others.

The enemy senses weakness. Giving away our classified secrets doesn’t help.

Stress

There are a whole lot more stress free red counties than blue counties. Why do you think that is?

Closing Doors

Sad day in Washington. The front doors to the Supreme Court are closing. It’s a security matter. Washington just isn’t accessible like it used to be. Sign of the times. Hey, even the press gets evicted from Lafayette Park when Obama doesn’t want them to cover something.

The 10th Amendment

Kudos to these Members of Congress. They will immediately be portrayed as racists for daring to champion states’ rights and the 10th Amendment.

But this is needed. What I’m talking about is some Republicans are setting up a 10th Amendment Task Force to look at federal programs, etc.

Well done.

Kentucky

James Dobson retracted his endorsement of Trey Grayson in Kentucky saying senior Repubilcans misled him. Really? What senior Republicans would do that? The ones who told us Charlie Crist is conservative?

Indiana

The Republican primary in Indiana is today. Go Marlin.

Do They Wear Togas?

This says everything about problems in DC. The media will hail it as bipartisan wonderfulness. The rest of us can see it for what it is — political opportunism by the ones who lack principle and just like power.

Can we primary Lamar Alexander like we’ve done to Bob Bennett?

Naturalized during the Obama Presidency. I think that the early acceptance and use of the T word by Gibbs and the MSM was because they believed the guy was a white guy. A right wing, Tea baggin, 40 something white guy. The news media said the video showed a “furtive white man” changing his shirt by the vehicle. Terror is ONLY done by right wingers. At least we have 5113 nukes.

Scott Brown’s support open my eyes to a changing paradigm. When a confessed liberal who loves her universal health care called a morning talk show on the day of the election to explain why she was voting for Brown.
1- It isn’t about liberalism, she doesn’t want Nancy Pelosi or any one else she doesn’t vote for and lives 3000 miles away telling her what liberalism means to her.
2- It isn’t about universal health care, she loves her universal health care it is excellent, expensive and worth it. It is about not having to beg Chuck Schumer to get a medical procedure for her son.

In short, it isn’t about liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican it is about sending your money far away and hoping to get some back, or keeping your tax dollars with people you actually vote to elect, that are closer to home where you have more influence over the outcome and control over the abuses.

The item that clinched it is the Arizona law that is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Solve the problems. Without any help from the Feds. Who needs the feds to deal with domestic issues?

Together this adds up to a paradigm shift in political expectations. From the federal activism universally embraced during the 1960′s to a more traditional paradigm, focusing on a scalable local activism.

Democrats don’t like SB1070 (Support our law enforcement and safe neighborhoods act) because it does something more than challenges the status quo. It solves the problem. That makes the President’s plans and the president himself appear irrelevant.

All politics is local. The future of politics is directed from the ground up. The era of leadership from the top down has ended.

Republican, traditionalist, optimistic again about our future.

I liked your musings included with the morning briefing post. I’m a country bumpkin and our internet connection is SLOW. Opening different frames takes alot of time; but, for your thoughts, I will wait as long as it takes. Seems like setting your musings up as a separate post would be more work for you…and scrolling down to find what we want to read shouldn’t be a major problem for your readers. Maybe Obama plans to give me better internet in the future out here in the Texas sticks. I’m just worried he is also planning on deciding what I can and can’t receive. I’ll stick with the slow connection and my freedom. Thank you kindly!

    But I was overruled.

Well, long as Obama doesn’t reveal their location, their condition, and what they are targeted at. Come to think of it, at least we can say how many we have…I think Robin Williams said it best:

“Russia has the Bomb. We have MAAAANY Bomb!
    *takes a drink of Vodka*
“We don’t know where they all are!”

But really we should not sweat this. Ask the average person in the world how many nukes the US has (even the ones who are supposed to know ) and they wont be able to accurately say. But you can ask them how many mistresses Tiger Woods had and they will be able to say how many, and say at least 3 of their names!

Seriously, how much do you think the WH and state-controlled media were hoping it was a tea-partier? Slick Willie would be giving nightly speeches on the dangers of “right-wing” terrorism.

I don’t particularly mind Obama releasing The Number – because who in their right mind would trust that it’s the correct one?

a – He could very easily be lying, he does on virtually every other number that comes out of his mouth

b – He could think he’s telling the truth but be wrong – do we really trust bureaucrats to get the math right?

I don’t think this changes anything. The Russkies and ChiComs will still trust their own spies, and for anybody else, the Exact Number is irrelevant.

Now, as far as becoming a laughingstock, sure. But he’s doing that just fine for a multitude of causes.

“I didn’t know how many bouncers it would take to throw me out, but I knew how many they were going to use.”

Problem is, no one knows how many we would use with the pantywaist in chief we have now. With Ronaldus Magnus in office there was no doubt…

there is no other option. Only a fool – or a democrat – would believe in any other explanation.

Why else would they try to spin the car bomb in Times Square as anything other than an Islamic terrorist attack? I guess it was right wing racists that attacked the WTC twice; tried to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge; tried to take out the Lincoln and Brooklyn Battery Tunnels; have been trying to take out the power grid; etc.

Why would any rational person in NYC not think that THIS terror attempt came from those “racist tea partiers”? History, maybe?

Why would barry reveal how many warheads we have? Cause he knew Ahmalfullofcrap would announce that he’s giving up his nuclear aspirations at the UN podium when he heard how serious the idiot is about disarming US? Guess what? Didn’t happen.

How people in Europe sleep while barry’s whittling away at our safety – and theirs – is beyond me. They’re closer to the Iranian maniac than we are. He might use them as target practice. After he blows Israel off the map, of course.

Please, God of Mercy, let us be in time in November to save our country, and our Allies.
