I think I need to give Dale Peterson some money

Just due to the sheer awesomeness of his campaign commercial.

I notice, by the way, that he is iCaucus endorsed. I’ve got a growing body of friends who have serious issues with that group. Might have to dig into that.

At about the 45 second mark, he has his trigger finger in the trigger guard of that lever-action rifle. Not a good example to set. Sure, the hammer isn’t cocked, and he does have the finger out of the trigger guard by the 59 second mark, but it’s the one bone I have to pick with it.

Republican candidates here in Noo Yerk hold a gun in one of his commercials. Ole’ Pinch at the Times would have a stroke.

    They endorsed Chuck DeVore

And the country needs people one like Dale Paterson higher up in national office then agriculture commissioner

  • Michael Dugas

    Anyone else having this problem?

  • Michael Dugas

Quite the “Take No Prisoners” ad isn’t it.
Watch now, the rifle will be used to claim it’s a call to violence! lol

If he were in Florida he’d have my vote.

  • SteveLA

Excited too and raising heck, but that’s an interesting political advertisement. Not sure what pulling out the rifle has to do with being Ag commissioner in ‘Bama, Jimmy Carter’s killer rabbits have invaded the state or something?

I did like the shots of the horse when Peterson was going off on his opponents, little video enhancement with raised eyebrows on the horse would have been way cool.

    Seriously?

Great web ad. Love it, would like some our Texas candidates with the same, oh yeah we got Rick Perry.

Boll Weevils get in your cotton, there’s all manor of underground and flying things coming after the soybeans and who knows what getting into their catfish farms. Bring the gun, get the critters. Ok, its messy, but it works.

If this were an ad for a new show “Dale Peterson: Agricultural Commissioner,” I’d watch.

  • Doc Holliday

and why people don’t want to watch movies with those of us that just can’t get past the interminable gun clicking/cocking noises every time a firearm is shown.

In this case I think we should not be idiots and realize this is a POLITICAL AD!!!!! not training at Gunsite or the Sig Academy. Furthermore, you can pull on an uncocked lever action trigger until you break it, and it still won’t fire, the hammer is down.

  • Doc Holliday

time to throw a few bucks his way.

  • pamela1631

it’s not like he chambered a round, and being a former Marine and Cop he’s had proper firearm safety training.

Guess he’s gotten fed-up with the out-of-town, gray-suited thieves and rustlers ripping off the people of Alabama.

Sheesh, can’t this guy hold a job????

    Heh.

That is one fantastic ad. I kept singing “He rode a blazing saddle He wore a shining star.” I’d vote for Dale.

    Know it.
    I like this guy.
    Or at least his ad.

applies not only to Alabama, but to roughly 45 other states as well.

The icaucus stuff I saw is rather demagogic, occasionally using misleading graphs and numbers to juice their case – although the actual numbers are bad enough. They do seem to wish a pox upon both our houses as political parties, and most of their presentations on “solutions” are mainly rehashes of the problems and blaming the “big money interests” and both parties for it.

If I had to label them, I’d saw they were anarcho-libertarian populists. Definitely not Republicans, only conservative in some respects, but neither did I see anything which could be used to embarrass a conservative candidate, especially in the South.

If they are fringe wackos, racists, or LaRouchies, they keep it well hidden.

This is what I love about US Politics. I would volunteer for Dale in a heartbeat…….but I would make him deputize me first : )

  • earlgrey

    I’d be watching that too.

  • CowboyUp4419

After that I’m ready to run through a wall.

  • Locked and Loaded

we should just focus on the objects of his wrath – and remember this far greater danger:
    Crazy Diane

  • Cynthia

So glad I saw this ad, I had already decided to vote for him after seeing that he was affiliated with the tea party here.
