Tim Bridgewater: Indonesian Job Creator

Tim Bridgewater want to pretend the Utah primary is about a businessman versus a lawyer. Given Bridgewater’s track record, he’s using the term “businessman” loosely. In fact, I can’t tell that any of businesses are profitable except for the infusions of cash secured for him by Bob Bennett as earmarks.

Along the way, Bridgewater has been creating jobs, just not for Utahans — for Indonesians.

Bridgewater secured a federal grant for $1,000,000.00 for an Indonesian power company to study geothermal power at a place called Tangkuban Perahu.

Tangkuban Perahu is a volcano in the province of West Java in Indonesia, some 9,000 miles east of Salt Lake City.

Bridgewater’s Senate Financial Disclosure Report lists him as a “commissioner” of the Tangkuban Perahu Geothermal Power Company located, as you might imagine, in Indonesia. You’d think Indonesia had enough representation in Washington with Barack Obama in the White House. Kidding.

Oh, and guess what company Tangkuban Perahu Geothermal Power Company hired to study geothermal power in Indonesia? Raser Technologies.

Tim Bridgewater is a consultant for Raser Technologies, a company that would not exist but for Bridgewater getting Bob Bennett to send it your tax dollars.

Bridgewater’s opponent, Mike Lee, is rumored to be renaming his online money bomb effort to the “Stop Bridgewater from sending our tax dollars to Indonesia Internet event spectacular.” You should contribute to it.

Our company is the second-largest owner of oil shale leases in Utah. Mike Lee has worked to develop our oil shale resources. Most oil shale in Utah is located on federal property. The federal government currently will not allow development of this critical energy source. We need a champion to argue for responsible and immediate development of these and other natural resources on federal lands that will lead us toward energy independence– Mike Lee is that man!

Former General Counsel to Raser Technologies, and Mike Lee’s “new” campaign director.

If you don’t like Raser, you should worry at both candidates, not just one.

    using Utah employees.

Tim Bridgewater uses our tax dollars to create jobs in Indonesia.

    This is similiar how?

And your position with the Bridgewater campaign is…..?

it looks like Buffaloed Bob is set to endorse Bridgewater. Remains to be seen if it will help him.

to Tangkuban Perahu you may want to turn around and head WEST and get your Garmin adjusted. Otherwise your trip may be a little longer than you expected.

Your political direction is spot on, just don’t put in for a navigator’s job, Erick.

I think Erick could do more research.

The money goes to a Utah company to do research in Indonesia, and if successful, will help Utah. Yes, Indonesians benefit.

Ambre Energy, is based on of Australia, who Lee has said he would help,

How many jobs in Italy are being benefited by Lee fighting to bring hazardous waste from Italy to Utah?

Yes, there are differences between the candidates, but in this area, Lee might just loose.

Try talking about who can pass a football.

Bridgewater has been a consultant to Raser.
Lee’s campaign director worked for Raser for over 3 years as their general council attorney.

It looks like Lee going after Raser at the same time picking up their former general council is more than just interesting.

Bridgewater?s recent ads are deceptive. He compares Mike Lee to Teddy Kennedy who criticized Mitt Romney?s business career. Lee has praised Bridgewater?s business skills, but has questioned the large number of government grants, earmarks, and subsidized loans Tim has secured for his clients.

The great irony in the ads is that Bridgewater ties himself to Romney, even though Bridgewater opposed Romney in the republican primaries and was John McCain?s western states regional campaign coordinator.

We need a great, principled leader like Mike Lee in Washington D.C.

Mike Lee is the only candidate in this race who has NEVER profited from federal earmarks and stimulus funds, never gambled taxpayer money on risky foreign ventures (for his own profit), and never supported (and profited from) non-conservative legislation such as No Child Left Behind as well as Medicare Part D (which created another $17 trillion of unfunded liabilities.)

Mike is a true life long conservative. He is like so many of us who got tired of complaining about what is happening in Washington D.C. and decided to do something about it. He is sacrificing so much to try and do his part to fix our countries problems, not further his own business career.

Support Mike Lee on June 22nd.
