Jon Lerner: Winner

Friends, if you are still up at this late hour you know Mike Lee won in Utah.

We beat Bob Bennett twice — first at the convention and second by beating his chosen successor. We beat the Chamber of Commerce and the GOP establishment back in DC with this race.

But we need to raise a glass to a man many of you have never heard of. His name is Jon Lerner.

I’ve never met him, but I admire his work.

Jon Lerner did media for Sharron Angle’s campaign in Nevada.

He ran Nikki Haley’s campaign and did media for Jeff Duncan’s and Tim Scott’s campaigns in South Carolina.

He ran Mike Lee’s campaign in Utah.

Now this guy is never going to be toasted in the media like a Bob Shrum or a Karl Rove — he gets conservatives elected. When the media profiles him, it’ll be more along the lines of an in depth look into the life of America’s Pol Pot or Adolph Hitler. He must be evil to work for people like Angle, Lee, Haley, Duncan, and Scott.

But you and I know the truth. And we must raise our glass to Jon Lerner — he fights for freedom and doggoneit, he wins!

We all know how crappy many of the money burning folks hired by the RNC are. Although I hate to see them burning up Republican money, it is good that they are supporting the RINOs.

It is great to have a quality person working on the side of real conservatives.

I look forward to your future successes

For instance, there were specific differences in the Haley and Scott campaigns. Scott had a long record of conservative service on the School Board and County Council, and I think was the first Republican to win his seats on both. He had 31% in a seven-man field of pretty well-qualified candidates, his runoff opponent drew 16% in the primary.

But at least in those two races, the clincher was the endorsement of Sarah Palin. I expect she also deserves a lot of credit for Fiorina’s win in California, too.

If you look at the history of political endorsements over the last quarter-century or so, they really don’t mean very much. Palin’s stamp of approval may be the first in a long time to worth gold at the ballot box.

She only endorsed a few days ago. Tim had been supported by Club for Growth for some time, and I think the local tea parties.

I haven’t heard of a Republican campaign consultant in years who hasn’t been described insultingly, unless he’s a loser.
An ape like James Carville, with the brain of a flea and the whole media covering his back, gets respect. After all ,what’s easier then claiming government solves problems, any trained chimp can do it.
I wish Mr Lerner both luck and fortitude, the smears and small mindedness are about to begin.
He may even wind up being called an “evil genius”.

Yep, I would say so. I can’t stand Karl Rove, mister 50% + 1, the Architect of 2006.

Rove & Ed Gillespe developed a 527 group to help elect Republicans for 2010 Redistricting. In its first month of operation, May 2010, it raised only $200.

Gillespe & Rove’s goal was to raised $50 million. They’re off to a slow start.
