EDITOR OF REDSTATE

Have you donated to Pamela Gorman yet?

I met with Pamela in Arizona shortly after she’d been to the desert shooting. She and her son are both great shots. And she has a great shot at getting to Congress if we are willing to step up and help her.

Give what you can.

You came to Arizona and you didn’t come up to Prescott to see me?! I’m offended. ;)

In all seriousness, we have some great conservative candidates in AZ-01 also. Here’s one:

I hear that Vernon Parker is Tim Scott from the west. An AA republican who is also a super conservative/super articulate plus has the support of Sheriff Joe

    I love Gorman too—

Too many great candidates for just one seat

  • azaeroprof

didn’t mean to threadjack! I do love the Gorman ad. She’s in a hotly-contested primary with 6 other Repubs, including Dan Quayle’s son and Paradise Valley Mayor Vernon Parker.

I’m sure glad I don’t live in AZ-03! Wouldn’t want to make that choice. Too bad we can’t take quality candidates like Gorman and Parker and distribute them to cover some of the districts where we lack quality conservatives!

I gave to Ben Quayle. I’m not interested in supporting Arizona’s version of Sarah Palin.

  • IJB

And I say that as someone who’s not a particular fan of Palin.

Consider endorsing Jesse Kelly over in AZ-08. He’s a conservative Marine OIF vet, could really use our help, and the seat he’s running for is currently held by Democrat Gabrielle Giffords, a liberal who holds the seat due to her opponent’s horrible campaign.

  • aesthete

He’s got the momentum right now, but is running against Jonathan Paton, one of our wonderful Tucson Republicans who never missed out on the opportunity to vote in favor of Dem stuff, including just about every Dem budget that came down the pike while he was in the state legislature. Very much a “why can’t we just get along” fellow who shouldn’t get anywhere close to the nomination, if we want a conservative candidate. (Some other guy, Brian Miller, is in the running, but I don’t know anything about him, and I think he’s going to serve as a spoiler.)

But, his business model was secure a $1.5 million taxpayer funded contract (SBA), helping businesses comply with federal bureaucracy … and helping businesses secure government grants and government loans … THAT is how he’s gotten rich.

NICE fellow … seriously. But EVERYONE calls themselves a conservative and I can tell you that if you get rich cashing in on liberal, wasteful, taxpayer-funded government programs … perhaps you should run in Chicago. Maybe the old seat of Dan Rostenkowski, Rod Blagojevich and Rahm Emanuel would be a better seat than that which is in a conservative district and been managed by a true conservative, John Shadegg, for many years.

    Awesome!!!

    I donated too.

The only way it could be any better would be if there was some liquor and bacon involved.
