A Note To Conservatives Who Wanted to Suck Up to the Quayle Family

Look, I get it. Dan and Marilyn Quayle are tremendous people. So when they call and say you should back their son who is running for Congress, you tend to say okay.

But Ben Quayle is imploding. He did a “rent-a-family” mail piece purported showing him with his daughters, but he has none. Now, it turns out that Ben Quayle has a bit of a scandal on his hands.

He helped set up a website called The Dirty and wrote there under the name of a porn star about all the hot chicks at Scottsdale, AZ nightclubs.

His denial of the allegations also shows he’s a pretty bad liar.

So all you conservatives who are wedded to Ben Quayle need to recognize that if conservatives split their vote, they’re going to wind up with someone like Vernon Parker who is trying to play conservative for the camera, but whose own constituents openly mock him as a liberal.

There is a better choice: Pamela Gorman.

Pamela Gorman has bled for the cause. She has fought the fight. She will not disappoint you.

Friends, you need to join me and get on board Pamela Gorman’s campaign NOW. Sure, there are others in the race who are arguably conservative, but not one person in the race has done more to fight for freedom than Pamela Gorman.

Give her money, pray for her, and vote for her.

Erick’s message is spot on. Last week Michigan conservatives split their vote between three candidates and came up empty handed. Rick Snyder is a moderate who has much appeal to democrats. It’s unfortunate that over 60% of the republican vote went to conservatives, yet the 36% not-really-a-lefty-guy won. I urge all voters in Michigan to support our republican candidate, but I hope to see conservatives in other states avoid the nose hold vote by uniting now behind the strongest of your conservative candidates.

Reality can be unpleasant. Not facing it can be more unpleasant in the long run.

I’m not current with porn star names — I just found out what the heck a Justin Bieber is! Anyway, what are the odds that Brock Quayle’s archived blog posts will turn up on the web? It’ll be interesting to see just how raunchy they are. Also, did Quayle write these posts while he was married?

Or is this the same as the “Mike Castle Has a Secret Plan” newsflash?

(I have no horse in this race whatsoever, I just want RedState to remain a credible source of info.)

He interestingly in the last 7-8 months bought a house in district, got married, adopted a dog (from the Animal Shelter) and mailed thousands of dollars of pictures around the district with pictures of little kids in his lap, talking about how excited he and his wife are to raise family in Arizona’s 3rd District. They weren’t his kids though.

He grew up in Virginia. He was away at school. He hasn’t spent much time in Phoenix though he claims that he’s a 4th generation Arizonan. I guess that just means anyone who’s great-Grandfather/mother lived in Arizona for any time is a 4th generation Arizonan.

What is the big deal if he was a blogger on that site?

I am with you (as you know).

Pamela Gorman is CLEARLY DISTINGUISHABLE as the conservative leader in this race.

Pamela Gorman is the only one in the race to stand up singlehandedly and lead the fight against her own Republican Governor and her Executive Director of the Republican Party to fight the $3 billion tax increase (rather than spending cuts) proposed in the depths of the current recession. She even resigned her leadership post as Senate Majority Whip, rather than be pushed to support that tax increase.

Pamela Gorman is the only candidate in this race endorsed by Arizona Right to Life who has authored and passed pro-life legislation through both houses of the Arizona legislature.

And she’s no “jenny-come-lately” to the immigration issue. She cosponsored SB 1070, Arizona’s new illegal immigration law. She is supported by Senator Russell Pearce, the author of that law. And she has led on this issue for years and supported and cosponsored a variety of measures designed to help Arizona confront the scourge of an insecure and dangerous border and a flow of illegal immigrants from around the world into the state.

The other candidates don’t come close to measuring up to that record. All of them try to talk the talk, but Pamela Gorman walks the walk.

Did I mention that I thought you had a great post?

…but his latest commercial sure does rip into Obama.

I support Pam Gorman, but I do like Quayle’s ad.

    Ron Reagan, Jr.

Forget Alaska, forget JD Hayworth. This is the most important race left. Joe Miller has the Tea Party express. Pamela Gorman does not have that luxury, so we need to back her furiously in the next 13 days. Make calls, email, donate. She needs more help than anyone, and is faces a much tougher- but winnable- fight.

In which he opens with “Barack Obama is the worst president in history,” I’m guessing he’s feeling a little desperate.

And his commercial’s terrible… might want to dump this one and get a more serious candidate on the ticket, we’ve got serious work to do.. he blew his credibility for the most part already

I actually respect Dan Quayle for the most part- certainly got nothing against him, but gotta say this boy’s a loser, sorry

If the standard (for conservatives, even!) of accpetable character is merely failing to violate obscenity laws, then all really is lost. Further, if he cares to defend his blogging on the “merits” he surely may do so. He did not do that, however — he lied. I don’t think any politician deserves to be beat up with every stupid mistake he ever made in college or as a young adult, but at some point he could at least be a man and admit to the mistakes.

Pamela Gorman is a natural fit for a Palin endorsement. Gorman could use the boost. Ben Quayle and Pamela Gorman are in a tight race and Palin’s endorsement would make a difference. Palin is very popular in Arizona and came to bat for Jan Brewer and could now boost Pamela Gorman in Arizona.
