Nancy Pelosi Joins the Fringe Mosquerade

Ladies and gentlemen, we have come through the looking glass.

Tonight on KCBS radio in San Francisco, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi began calls for investigations into opponents of the Ground Zero mosque.

Aligning herself with the fringe — a group of people no larger than those who think 9/11 was an inside job and those who think Barack Obama is a foreign born Manchurian candidate — Pelosi said, “There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded.”

Kerry Picket has more on this fringe mosquerader at the Washington Times. Someone might want to ask Pelosi if she also thinks 9/11 was an inside job.

    Good thing he voted present.

without being paid. The top Dem in the House,

She said the Tea Party was astroturf
    Now the anti mosque sentiment.

To me, this illustrates how fake the motives of the democrats are. She’s telling on herself and she doesn’t even know it.

She really doesn’t believe in any position she pushes and any true motivation from others is suspect to her because she can’t imagine people taking action just because “IT REALLY IS THE RIGHT AND MORAL THING TO DO”! and not just as a power play.

She does not believe in the power of the people. If big bucks aren’t being thrown around to manipulate and sway opinion-well, in her reality, that is not only improbable, it’s impossible.

This woman really is insane. I truly, truly believe that.
I have to, the alternative means I am insane and or delusional.

Investigating regular Americans for a 9/11 related issue like this will put the Dem loses in the coming election to over 100!!

Looking glass indeed. The entire Democratic Party is in the midst of a nervous breakdown. As someone wrote above, Pelosi can’t believe flesh and blood people vote Republican, let alone have opinions contrary to hers.

“How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we’ve been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City.”

My first inclination was to present an over-the-top conspiracy theory about how it was all because of the JOOOOOOOOOOOOS, but then I remembered that ‘unbelievable Jewish conspiracy theory’ is an oxymoron to progressives.

to house the 210 million Americans who oppose this building at this location.

This is beyond insane, even for Pelosi, and as biased and corrupt as the old media is these days she probably still will be asked a few questions about this lunacy.

  • ywhyvon1

What is she referring to when talking about “Treasure Island”

I’m all over the mental map with that one

I assumed that it was some local San Francisco issue or project that Pelosi had been working on for her district.

I have never seen such a huge string of political mistakes as Obama and Co. have made since the passage of Reapercare. It’s like they are throwing a big temper tantrum because the American public majority solidly disagrees with their agenda.

    She’s insane and I’m not

What on earth was President Obama thinking? Did his advisors actually tell him to go ?Pro Ground Zero mosque? with 90 days until the midterms when Democrats are about to get sliced up like a Hibachi Steak at Benihana?

Did someone on his team point to Iran and said, ?Don?t worry Mr. President, we can win with 32% of the vote, Ahmadinejad did it, so let?s go pro Ground Zero mosque today??

Read this article which satirizes the whole mess.

    VERY FUNNY stuff.

until we fire Pelosi. It’s just keeps getting more bizarre.

And, jeez! What a boondoggle this Treasure Island development deal sounds like! Are they seriously going to build all that on *landfill*?! I guess they don’t care that 10,000 future residents are going to end up at the bottom of the Bay in the next big earthquake! Sheesh!!

Only San Fran Nan could be involved in something this idiotic…

Treasure Island is the island in the middle of the SF Bay, That flat real estate is just north of Yerba Buena Island which is a middle anchor point for the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge. TI used to be a naval Station for small ships and training activities. That’s the WHAT and WHERE. As for anything else, it’s local politics.

Just when I think she’s done and said just about every crazy thing she can do and say, she sinks to a new low. Even though she’s clearly insane and out-of-touch with planet Earth, she’s never boring. When she loses her position as Speaker of the House, I’m sure she’ll blame it on “right-wing hate” and, of course, George W. Bush.

  • Adjoran

Luckily for her, her district is full of them. She doesn’t even have a paid campaign staff on the ground for the election yet – that shows how safe she feels.

As concerns the mosque, one must wonder why the Greek Orthodox Church near WTC which was destroyed on 9/11 cannot get permits to rebuild, but the wheels were greased for the mosque?

    Bloomberg is such an idiot.

Pat Buchannan must’ve been quoting Hubert Humphrey with that “nattering nabobs of negativity” line. Humphrey used that phrase in either the 1964 Presidential election campaign when he was the VP candidate under LBJ, or during the 1968 campaign when he was running for the Presidency against Richard Nixon. It was probably the 1964 race against Barry Goldwater, but I don’t recall for sure.

I used to be stationed at Treasure Island back in the 90′s, when the Navy Department made the decision to close down the base there. The good people of San Francisco didn’t want us there.

Agnew was known for his scathing criticisms of political opponents, especially journalists and anti-war activists. He attacked his adversaries with relish, hurling unusual, often alliterative epithets ? some of which were coined by White House speechwriters William Safire and Pat Buchanan ? including “pusillanimous pussyfooters”, “nattering nabobs of negativism” (written by Safire), and “hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history”. He once described a group of opponents as “an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals.” Just Sayin’

As I understand it, the church could have built on a new site, but it was told it was too tall and negotiations were broken off. They were told they could build on their original site and I don’t know why they aren’t doing that – there was no explanation. Yet the mosque can build and be even taller than the church, Equal treatment? Heck no.

when the “gracious lady” of IL – 08 brought in the thug & refused to answer questions from constituents. Clearly SF local issues transcend those of national import when it is inconvenient to address the latter.

  • atillathehun

The American electorate has not yet grasped the fact that the OBamma dude is not a “moderate” anything. As he sourrounded himself with the mantle of 60′s radical domestic terrorist and established an advisory council beyond Congressional scrutiny, to be surprised by radical positions is illogical and foolish.
The President is a radical non Christian. The state is his ideology and he lives for the establishment of socialist government.

  • ywhyvon1

    I’ll make the change

  • jbinvirginia

Really. Is it any surprise that Pelosi and many politicians on both sides are taking the opportunity to politicize the building of the Ground Zero mosque? I just wish Americans who stand united against terrorism stop looking at the mosque issue and look at the bigger picture. Once again, either through the Cordoba Initiative or by default, terrorists have attempted to bring chaos to our country, and they are doing a darn good job. Whether or not the mosque is built is probably secondary to the goal they’ve already accomplished. This is just another underwear bomber…if the mosque is denied, they’ll just move onto the next plan of attack. The best thing Americans could do is ignore the whole situation. The families who lost loved ones at Ground Zero have a right to feel whatever they’re feeling, as do all Americans, but let’s think about how we can neutralize the volatility surrounding the building of the mosque, so the terrorists don’t win again.

In the past few months they were merely stepping on landmines at most opportunities. Now they have crossed the concertina wire into the danger zone, strapped on lead-soled boots, and started goose-stepping through the minefield in circular patterns.

It’s true that Nancy could be saying this because in November she has to be re-elected by the moonbats in her district just like everyone else. But it would make more sense for her to just acknowledge her approval of the Mosque and move on to other local, moonbat-approved issues. Instead she decided add 100 fathoms of chain to the anchor that Obama threw around the collective neck of the democrats on Friday.

    Wow.

Prisons for political dissenters is hardly likely.

I believe the term “re-education camp” is the more proper term.

Perhaps Speaker Pelosi is simply unveiling DISCLOSE Act II?

Nancy you really should not talk to Harry Reid that way!

    Furthermore . . .

Nancy even though you may not like it. The Bill of Rights gives the people the right to petition the Government.

Nancy The Bill of Rights also stands against you and your activities when you advocate using some form of retaliation in coming against the people when they do not agree with you and yours.

Nancy you might want to read Amendment I and Amendment IV of The Bill of Rights. There are several other Amendments in The Bill of Rights; they pertain to the United States Government and the proper procedure for the running of Government. Nancy The Bill of Rights is a good read!

train has left the Fringe tracks while Grandma serves up the Blueberry Koolaid. They can move the mosque and get over it.

Didn’t the Park 51 face court due to unpaid bills. Evict them and tell them to call the Saudi King who offered to buy them a hospital for free. You’d think dems would go for a free building!!!
