A RedState Mission: Get the Dems on Video

image

The other day in Ohio, House Republican Leader John Boehner said Mr. Obama should fire Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and economy adviser Larry Summers.

I agree. But what do Democrats in Congress think? Back in 2006, Democrats were demanding to get Republicans on the record about whether President Bush should keep Donald Rumsfeld as Secretary of Defense.

It’s time to turn the tables. Go get your congress critter on video. Ask if he agrees with John Boehner that Barack Obama should ask for Tim Geithner and Larry Summers’ resignations.

Oh, and if you get your congressman to take a position on the Ground Zero Mosque, you just might get bonus points and maybe an extra prize!

Post your video to our Facebook page. Each person who does so will get a copy of my new book.

(one book per person, mission may end at my say, Geithner or Summers being fired, or September 15th, whichever comes first. Post your video to Facebook. Note that you’ve done so in the comments here)

Man, I wish I had the ability to do so, but the person who can do that to Lacy Clay, MO-1! Wow!

Since my Representative is Tom Price– he probably motivated Boehner to make that statement in the first place. I’m pretty sure he’s no fan of the Ground Zero Mosque either.

I didn’t notice that the goal was to get Democrats on video. My House Rep, both my Senators, and my Governor are all Republicans, so I guess this is a game for others elsewhere.

No one has been able to get ours, Harry Mitchell (D) AZ CD-5, out from hiding in the closet.

Pretty much all Dems have made it clear they have absolutely no interest in risking visits in public with constituents.

It will be interesting to see what does get captured.

Jeb Hensarling would be all for firing the entire Administration.

Even though our Congressmen are Repubs doesn’t mean this should exclude them, Their opinion would be helpful in determining which of them just might be Rhinos.

Although I would love to have one of your books, this is not for that purpose. Although I’m disabled and can’t get videos, I can e-mail or fax my congressman in attempt to get their opinion in bkack & white for the record…

Mine’s David Price, and I can’t get a straight answer out of his office as to whether he’s even in the country let alone where I can get close to him! We all know where he stands though, above the people of NC04 (in his eyes anyway).
Oh well. Lawson for Congress !

I am “fortunate” enough to live in a district rep’d by a Dem – one recently changed by RCP from leans Dem to Toss-up, thank you! – but naturally going to his election website and clicking on “Events” leads you to a BLANK PAGE.

Due to wacky districts I am not far at all from 2 other Dem districts: a 2nd also yields a similar BLANK events calendar, the 3rd doesn’t even give that much hint of upcoming campaign events.

This will be even more challenging than I expected, but I think possibly fun sport.

Hopefully Erick has a wide timeline for the book offer, this might take until October!

(can I expense the services of hiring a PI to track my congress critter down?)

I am willing to go along with this, as long as we remember that it is about WHAT is right, and not WHO is right. The liberals will go to any extreme, including sabotage, to make “the other side” look bad. But in the process, no one notices that they are potentially sabotaging something that might be good for the American people as a whole. Normally the right way to look good is to make your own ideas look good. But a destructive way to do it is to make the other guy look bad and by default, your own way looks better, or maybe just less bad. This only matters because we are talking about what is best for our society. This is of paramount importance, above and beyond ‘who is best’. Ideally, we all want the same thing, and we hold these truths to be self-evident. It might be good to videotape in particular the times when the dems point out who is right and wrong, instead of discussing the merits of a particular idea.
