I blew snot bubbles when they said “double dip” while showing TWO pictures of Obama.

    Bwaaahaaaahaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    PERFECT imagery.

Keep the pressure level high, NRSC. I’m so looking forward to Nov 2.

Now that the Labor Day vacation is over, there are pressing issues to tend to.

I’m sure there will be tail-gate weekends, GOLF, apple cider festivals,
more GOLF, Halloween parties, GOLF, Thanksgiving on Martha’s Vineyard with GOLFING, pre-Christmas break, more GOLF, Christmas break, winter GOLF, New Years events, and then the first official vacation of the new year, celebrating with GOLF.

Poor Michelle can’t be gettin’ any.

    Amen.

who can blame the man? Ugh, if I were married to her, I think I’d have to do away with myself.

    Repeat after me:

    Recovery starts November 2nd
    Recovery starts November 2nd
    Recovery starts November 2nd
    Recovery starts November 2nd…

During the Presidents speaech today he said he knew on election day how bad the econmy was. He then said on inauguration day the economy was worse. If that is the case why did he screw up with the stimulus and then said he did not know had bad the economy was. Lying SOB.

Look at the way he dominated the healthcare conference. He talked more then either the democratic or republican side and when called to task he said he was setting the rules. I have a lot of conversations like that with my wife.

Then even today- it was I all the time. “They are treating me a like a dog”. I guess he must beat his dog. The mess in DC comes down to how the GOP is treating him.

Plus talk about the buck stops here–not in this white house.

I don’t blame Michelle was getting out. Its all about me in DC now.

I just hope Michelle is still proud of the USA after this midterm election

Waiting to find out whether I’d have a job in the fall…

Waiting to find out how little money I still have in my 401k .. and whether it’d grow or shrink….

Watching the value of my home continue to go down while the amount I send the mortgage company every month stays exactly the same …

Taking a “long weekender” vacation plus some “stay-cation” I spent cleaning and painting instead of the usual week-and-a-half because, with the new lower-paying gig my SO got, there’s no time off…

    Yeah. Wonderful summer.

Once the new Republican senators and congressmen take over the Senate and the House.

Don’t know about calling it “Recovery” however, and I don’t mean that in a nasty way. It will be more like: No More Deficit Spending.” We’re not promising any job bills, TARP money, bank bailouts, and extended unemployment benefits. We’re going to defund (if not actually repeal) Obamacare. The Bush Tax Cuts will be made permanent. And I actually think there’s a good chance we’ll be able to privatize Social Security, if not dismantle it outright.

It’s the end of the New Deal and the beginning of the No Deal, just as our founding fathers had intended.

Same here with me. That was hilarious! Well done, NRSC.

Once the Republicans are back in power in Congress, the ship of state will right itself! Boehner is all set to go….

… I think recovery will start the day after the elections in the stock market. Probably even before then, if trends continue as they have been. But we need Congress (whatever flavor is in power) to stop those pending tax increases (expiration of the Bush tax cuts) in their tracks to start real recovery.

  • eburke

big time on the very simple to grasp reality that Obama’s partying while the economy burns.

Now, if they’d could just cut that down to 30 seconds, it’d make a great ad…’specially their closing tag line.

  • SoFiMil

Kudlow had a great line: “Big time regime change come November.”

  • RedBeard

To quote Han Solo, “Great, Kid! Don’t get cocky!”

There is much to be done, and a lot of heavy lifting, in order to win in November.

And once we do, the work has just begun. Winning the election wins the country nothing, if the campaign words are hollow. 1994 looked very good, but Republicans threw away the opportinity of a lifetime. We can’t allow that to happen again.

The true work will happen in the trenches, and only if we keep the pressure on. This can be the beginning of the restoration of constitutional governance, but only if we do not abdicate and do not leave the job up to the politicians in D.C.

Trouble is, there are so many retread-repubs who have acted RINO-ish in the past, and this administration seem so dead-set on their agenda, I’m concerned things are going to get worse before they get better. “Interesting times” indeed.

Keeping powder dry, as the saying goes.

right up to Nov. 2 and beyond. The problem is that we’ve built up this expectation that we’re going to take the House and maybe the Senate. The thing is, if we don’t take the House but come really close, that will be perceived by the Left and their media enablers as a Dem victory. That could really take the wind out of the GOP sails.
