Mayberry Throws Andy Griffith Out of Office

Just how bad is it for Democrats? Were an election held in Mayberry, Sheriff Andy would be toast.

That’s right — Andy Griffith, chief North Carolina closer for the Democratic Party has seen his popularity crash 25%. Why?

He volunteered to be the face of Obamacare.

In July he cut an ad for the U.S. government promising “good things” to come from the Democratic-backed health care law. The ad prompted five Republican U.S. senators to accuse the Obama administration of using taxpayer money to bolster his policies.

And as the poll suggests, the ad may have tainted the Griffith brand.

“Clearly it’s pushback from the president’s health care plan,” said Brad Crone, a Democratic consultant who is working with legislative candidates. “It’s a good time to call up Barney Fife.”

Oh well. A Republican Sheriff wouldn’t be so tolerant of drunks and incompetents, I’m sure.

    I’m not mad at him, but I am very disappointed. And saddened, that I can no longer watch a rerun of the Andy Griffith Show and relax comfortably.

    PPP has done some meaningless polls. Like how Cleveland feels about Lebron leaving for Miami, or Levi Johnston’s fake Wasilla Mayor bid, or Andy Griffith’s approval ratings. What’s next next for PPP, how Chicago feels about Blago?

    Time for NC to also begin firing their State Legislature Dems…AND RINOs… …and they have quite a few to fire.

    And I think this year is looking good for that to happen.

    I just wish David “Bring home the Pork!” Price were on the endangered Dem list, but I haven’t seen anything suggesting it to be the case. I want the man out badly.

    It’s a shame about Mr. Griffith. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Andy Griffith Show, but I did enjoy Matlock….

    Make sure they all go to the polls. How many of the small businesses in your town agree? Have they talked to their employees? Are they going to help and encourage their employees to vote? Getting everyone who agrees with us to the polls is the only thing that matters from now till 3 November. Help us get them there.

    …why beloved celebrities should keep politics out of it. I don’t care what their opinions are, as long as they keep them quiet. When they do not, they almost always alienate, offend, or disappoint their fans.

    I suppose Mr. Griffith learned nothing from his years in Mayberry, and that disappoints me to no end.

    been a liberal. Why is anyone surprised or disappointed? I mean come on- his actual home town is Hollywood. Rush had this great spoof with Andy and Barney a couple weeks ago. It was hilarious and reminds me I really need find it to download because it really was that funny. I’m still watching the show when I get a chance even though I don’t like the “real” Andy. Beats the crap out of the sewage they are putting out these days.

    Ernest T. Bass was a fictional character on the American TV sitcom The Andy Griffith Show.

    Ernest T. was an ignorant and obstreperous mountain man with a penchant for rock throwing, who was known to wreak havoc on the otherwise quiet town of Mayberry.

    He lived in the mountains neighboring Mayberry, and his appearance in town almost always meant trouble for Sheriff Andy Taylor and Deputy Barney Fife.

    A wild, belligerent hillbilly, he had a scruffy appearance, a maniacal laugh, and often spoke in rhyme.

    When threatened with the law, Ernest T. would generally run off, yelling over his shoulder his famous catchphrase, “You ain’t seen the last of Ernest T. Bass!”

    Kinda fitting for the Mayberry metaphor don’t you think :)

    and thought about how we should have an ad comparing SanFranNan telling us that we have to pass the bill to see what’s in it (great transparency there BTW) with Andy, months after the bill was rammed through, telling us how wonderful it is. If it was all that wonderful there would be no need for Andy to tell us.

    The very fact that the left is trying to run a sales campaign for it, months after passage, indicates they realize how much trouble they are in. Looks like a lot of Democrat congresscritters are having seller’s remorse.

    his fault? I think you are confusing the TV Andy with the real Andy. Andy of Mayberry was a TV character. Andy Griffith is a died in the wool liberal and he always has been. And what makes you think he’s some helpless robot controlled by Opie now?

    There are people that could identify with Andy of Mayberry and would want to hang out with him and Opie. Those are not the same people that would want to hang out with Andy Griffith and Ron Howard.

    Andy Griffith and Ron Howard are/were responsible for more liberal propaganda than Soros….well it was close.

    I would like to see Andy try and get that hip replaced on O-care…maybe Ron will finally be able to get those hair plugs.

    If you will go back in time with me and recall the biggest majority of the Andy of Mayberry series you will remember that in almost every weekly show the plot consisted of telling a justifiable lie to save somebody from embarrassment or calamity. So Andy was just playing his old role as the liar to keep someone from being embarrassed by the calamity of his careless bill. Lying is just the way of progress for any good liberal Democrap. That is all they know! Maybe it is fitting that Andy who lived by lying should also die by lying as far as his show and reputation goes. What I don’t understand is how so many can be so shocked that he promoted another lie!

    Given how young Ron Howard was when that show was created, and how he probably looked up to Andy Griffith, who undoubtedly became a father role model for him, given the number of hours spent together, Griffith probably played a major role in Howard’s political formative years. (OK, that was a really long, complicated sentence, but you get the idea.)

    “So folks, welcome to the Kinder, Gentler America since we elected a president who is revered by Radical Muslims the world over, revered by Communist Dicatators the world over, revered by the Russians because he took down the nuclear shield that was in place in Eastern Europe as a reminder to the Empire Building Russians that they better not dare invade their neighbors.

    Now, we are going to go the way of France and England and other European Nations where they have allowed Muslims and Their Sharia Laws to supplant their civil laws. Where Rule is By Violence or Threats of Violence.
    Is it not pathetic that if you threaten to punch your next door neighbor in the nose that your neighbor can go and file a charge against you and you will be arrested for making terroristic threats, but if you are a Terrorist Religious Cult, you can Threaten To Murder American Citizens, and our government Does Absolutely Nothing, and in fact appeases the Radical Muslims.

    The Muslims have basically laid down the gauntlet that says: “If any American or Anybody Else dare Offend Us, We Will Terrorize You.” And, what is really sickening about this is the fact that our own government and mainstream media is on the side of the Radical Muslims, and will use all the power of the U.S. Govenrnment and All the Power Of The Mainstream Media to Squash Anybody or Any Group that dares challenge them.

    Welcome Folks to the New United Fascist States Of America. Fascism defined means “No opposition allowed.” This, my friends, is what our government has just told us. Also, look at what they are doing to Arizona and other States Who Dare Defend the Legitimate Laws of the Land.

    Better wake up folks and rally Conservative Voters on November 2, 2010. At the rate the Obama-Pelosi Regime Dictatorship is moving, there may never be any elections ever again. If they will not tolerate basic First Amendment Rights of Speech and Expression, how long do you think they will tolertate the rest of the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution, which one of the Communists in the Congress, Al Cee Hastings recently said when he was asked about the constitutionality of the Socialized Medicine Bill which they call Obama Care, Hastings replied: “What, the Constitution?? WE, The U.S. Congress do not care anything about the Constituton.” Al Cee Hastings was speaking for All of Congress and the President of the USA.

    If you care about your freedoms and you do care about the Constitution, you need to get Out The Vote and Take America Back, and Totally Ignore the Mainstream Media, because they have just shown us how far they will go to Aid and Abet Our Enemies while Squashing A U.S. Citizen who dares express his Displeasure with Islam and With This Government and the Obama Regime. That little preacher in Florida had 50 members. Who would have ever heard of this guy had it not Been for The Mainstream Media and Our own Government Who Made it An International Event.
