Debbie Halvorson Goes With the Nazi Card

Adam Kinzinger is running for Congress against Debbie Halvorson in Illinois.

On September 15th, at an Americans for Prosperity event, left-wing protestors showed up with posters depicting Kinzinger as a Nazi. They also had pictures of Sarah Palin with Hitler mustaches, etc.

The Kinzinger campaign filmed the protestors and followed them. Guess where the protestors went with their signs?

Back to Debbie Halvorson’s campaign headquarters. Kinzinger is demanding answers from Halvorson on this — why are left-wing protestors using her campaign office as a base of operations?

    That the original nazis were socialists! If you drop the words Nationalist and German from their full name you are left with “Socialist Workers Party”! Now which party’s policies most closely resemble that?

    The media will go through 100,000 people to find one negative sign, yet here is a 15 person protest seemingly organized by a sitting congresswoman’s campaign manager, with pictures of their OPPONENT as a Nazi. HUGE

    “Are you with the Halvorson campaign?”

    (in Chorus) “NO-o-o-o-o!!!”

    Then after protesting they return to Halvorson campaign HQ.

    And Halvorson is a sitting congresswoman.

    I anticipate heavy media coverage given their fascination and concern with Nazi-sign toting protesters. LOL

    I hope someone will send this video to Fox News in New York and let’s see if they will cover this story. Debbie Halverson needs to be held accountable for her campaign’s actions.

    Via Illinois Cons Review

    UPDATE: Jim Hoft at First Things reports one of the Nazi protesters has been identified.

    She is Anna Markowski, the Obama campaign’s MO Deputy Field Director in 2008 who then moved on to Obama’s Organizing for America. Markowski is now on staff for Halvorson.

    Another person identified is Julie Merz, Halvorson’s campaign manager, seen at the end of the video laughing at her desk with the Nazi protesters. Merz was formerly Nancy Pelosi’s Deputy Director of Member Services.

    It appears Media Matters has identified the primary Nazi sign protester as Bill Preston, only to have him say he has nothing to do with the Halvorson campaign, he “was just there.”
