John Salazar Votes With Nancy Pelosi 97% of the Time. He Says He Never Does.

With a hat tip to Jim Geraghty we can see just how bad it is for Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats right now.

John Salazar, Congressman from Colorado, is being attacked for voting 97% of the time with Nancy Pelosi. NINETY-SEVEN PERCENT.

His Republican challenger, Scott Tipton, is tied with Salazar in a race that two years ago Mr. Salazar walked away with.

So how does John Salazar interpret voting NINETY-SEVEN PERCENT of the time with Nancy Pelosi?

“I’ve never voted with Nancy Pelosi,” Mr. Salazar says, adding that “every vote I’ve taken” has been with and for his constituents.

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

. . .it’s obvious what he meant to say or imply — that his votes had less to do with marching in lockstep with Pelosi and more to do with the best interests of his constituents — but he didn’t get within a country mile of actually saying it.

His comment is a campaign ad waiting to happen, and he deserves it.

    - than being accused of voting in sync with Pelosi since what I think he is saying is that he believes what he did was best for his constituents. Even if Pelosi goes away, he would continue to vote the same way. He didn’t vote with Pelosi, he IS Pelosi.

Ken Salazar was challenging Obama for the title of Most Liberal Senator for a few years there before he went off to the Interior Dept.

Pelosi votes WITH HIM, not vice versa! :)

The simplest ad: play the quote of “Never voted with Pelosi” and intersperse it with his 97% cum-Pelosi record.

Barely four weeks to go and Dems are hanging themselves from the rafters with their own lies.

I can’t stand what the Denver crowd did to our state the last time. I can only hope (& GOTV) that this time it’s different. What’s crazy is what the GOP has in candidtates. I have to choose between Maes and Tancredo? Man, we thought we had it hard during the 2008 POTUS primary?! :S
