Democrats Need to Heed the Wisdom of Darrell K. Royal

It was Darrell K. Royal who originally said, “When you get to the end zone, act like you’ve been there before”

In the past few weeks we’ve seen Charlie Crist attack Marco Rubio for not being Hispanic enough. Serously.

Earl Perlmutter refused to shake hands with his opponent in Colorado.

Jim Marshall in Georgia had an oppo researcher obtain the divorce records of his opponent’s parents.

Jack Conway attacked Rand Paul’s faith.

A left-wing blogger invaded a Joe Miller rally in Alaska and assaulted attendees.

Alan Grayson selectively edited a speech by Daniel Webster to make it look like Webster said something he did not.

Barack Obama himself went out bashing his own side for not getting out the vote.

Joe Biden accused the Democrats of whining.

The Democrats are on the cusp of a very bad defeat. They need to start acting like they’ve been there before. They have — 1994.

This sore loser stuff is doing them no favors at all. But it is delightful to watch. I can’t wait for the post-election blame game. Nancy Pelosi may have to take up residence in an undisclosed location.

    Or how about the smattering of “faux” Tea Party candidacies that have appeared around the country?

    They’re desperate. It’s actually kind of fun to watch.

    That our expectations are borne out on Nov 3. I DO NOT trust the Dems to play by normal rules. Play by THEIR rules, oh yeah, play by the rules of the land? Nope, no way. I don’t know specifically what to expect, but I expect ugly surprise. I hope I’m wrong.

    These people are full of vile and the only way they know how to fight is dirty. They certainly can’t debate the issues.

    Looking more like it every day. He knows his party has made inroads thru lies and deceit. So, what does a Marxist do? Smear the other person, of course. Regardless of the question on Fox News Sunday, CONway chanted the same talking points. Saul Alinsky couldn’t have repeated them more often.

    Fear and smear, that’s the CON way. Scaring people with lies about Rand Paul on Medicare. Repeating his Marxist-like slogan that he was for the people of Kentucky. You can’t be for the people and for Cap and Steal — er, called Trade by that ilk which steals taxpayer dollars like madmen.

    CONway purportedly wants to go to the District of Corruption to “tweak” ObamaScare. IMO: liar, liar, pants on fire!! Surely CONway knows tweaking would be quite a feat, consideriing how the law was written.

    Kentucky voters are not stupid, Mr. CONway!! They can still smell a rat.

    Reynolds was caught on tape referring to his constituency as “rednecks.” Discussion at Western Kentucky University. Reynolds apparently thinks anyone who opposes taxpayer funded ObamaScare for illegal aliens is a “redneck.”

    And who are these people Reynolds and ilk call “rednecks?” Farmers, construction workers, etc. In general, anyone who uses his hands while making a living. Hard-working, patriotic citizens without whom the United States would soon come to a standstill. A worker EMP of sorts.

    Perhaps Reynolds is a friend of CONway’s.

    Also, the leftist infiltrated VFW-PAC, (not VFW parent) tried to put out an endorsement list for candidates that favored leftist NON vet. Klein over West and that favored Barbara “I Hate The Military” Boxer over Fiorina. And….they are endorsing Patty Murray, Pat Leahy, and Barbara Lee. Are you kidding me???

    Well guess what?

    Update!!!!!!!: Given the FLOOD of calls that the VFW parent org. has gotten in disgust of this list, the quality parent org is completely disbanding the VFW PAC given it’s disgraceful performance. http://bit.ly/bXB3K7

    Maybe it was and maybe it wasn’t, but around these parts we believe the original quote came from Paul “Bear” Bryant. Maybe y’all have heard of him. Used to coach at Alabama a few years back. Got a few more national titles than ol’ Darrell, or so they say. :-)

    ought to be a great game. ‘Bama and Auburn both have strong teams, and they always play a little bit harder against each other.

    Unlike the upcoming elections, I don’t really have an interest in the outcome, just an interest in seeing some seriously competitive, hard-nosed football. :D It will be good to just enjoy the competitiveness with no consequences pending the outcome…

    in TN’s 4th District to Dr. Scott DesJarlais. He’s running ads about DSD’s bitter divorce 10 years ago when his ex made all kinds of accusations. Court records did not substantiate anything and judge actually found the ex in contempt for verbally abusing DSD in front of their child. It’s apparently backfired on Davis because DSD has jumped ahead in the latest poll 45 to 40.

    This could be bigger than any of us imagined.
