Left-Wing Blogger Starts a Fight at a Joe Miller Rally

The media is buzzing today about an altercation that happened at the Joe Miller rally in Alaska.

A left-wing blogger, Tony Hopfinger, tried to corner Joe Miller as Miller was departing. He kept shoving people to get to Miller and it did not go over well. The left tried to blow this up, as did Murkowski, but now several eye witness reports are coming out, along with Hopfinger’s confession that he started it, and the story is going no where.

Red County had an eye witness at the event who provides a first hand account of what happened.

There comes a point to where a person passes the point of getting answers to then becoming a person who is harassing an individual. And Tony Hopfinger crossed the line when it was clear Miller changed his direction because of Hopfinger engaging Miller’s security detail in what started off as a shoving match.

What I also found interesting was the set-up that took place between blogger Jesse Griffin, who when leaving was asking where Tony was. Notably, Griffin was with the individual who asked the question on why Miller was a Welfare Queen.

And leave it to political hacks like Andrew Halcro to say Miller ordered the arrest when Miller wasn’t even there when the security team detained Hopfinger.

Like I said before, there comes a time when the press cross the line on getting questions answered and Tony Hopfinger crossed the line by pushing back and trying to hide behind the First Amendment.

The lefty blogger is claiming he felt threatened. If so, why the heck did he start the shoving match?

    I’ve seen this kind of thing before. If the liberals cannot win discussing the issues, they will resort to badmouthing or slander or libel. They will do most anything except discuss the issues.
    They will do whatever it takes to stay away from the truth.

    Liberalism/progressivism need to be designated as mental disorders similiar ro bi-polar disorder. In fact it mirrors bi-polar in that the person is calm and then for no apparent reason explodes into rage just like this clown at Joe Miller’s Rally. For a prime example look at the white house. From some reports I’ve read OBLAMEO is subject to explosions. Now there’s a mixed up mess..a narcissistic bi polar communist/fascist/socialist/liberal hack in the white house. Is America in trouble or what ?

    If Murkowski wins, then watch the GOP Senate Leadership pander all of Murkowski’s demands to prevent her from defecting to the Dems.

    Rogoff, benefactor to Hopfinger, is a former member fo the Carter administration and is a Trustee of the Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She also once served as an assistant to the publisher of the Washington Post.

    against some of these candidates, like Miller and Angle. The stunt that Tony pulled yesterday is unacceptable. The liberal narrative is that Miller is an extremist supported by nazi thugs, ect.
    The ADN and FDNM headlines play to the narrative calling Tony a “journalist”. They should condemn this behavior as anyone would if it happened at a Lisa or Scott event.

    from “Al Pie-eda” came to that speech given by Ann Coulter. After they threw pies at her and ran away, they got kind of roughed up by security & those in attendance as they detained those fools for the police.

    The funny thing about all of that was that after they had assaulted Coulter & led to around $5,000 in property damage, there was actually talk of them pressing charges against the people who apprehended and detained them.

    It just goes to show that the far left is not stable & we as conservatives need to protect our own sometimes.

    Ater that, David Horowitz was attacked and William Kristal was attacked too if I remember correctly. Yes, they all used pies to try and stop the words of those with whom they did not agree, but I fear the left could get more out-of-control. It’s just like that nutjob environmentalist wacko who went to the Discovery Channel HQ.

    I’m gonna shut up after this, because this site is about supporting the Republican candidate in the general election, but I’m really seeing this ship sinking. For all the carping about O’Donnell, like her or not, she actually has done a good job getting past the personal stuff, while Joe just keeps falling further into the Palin pattern. Make the press the issue, obfuscate, then admit the least you can when you get caught doing something you shouldn’t, always claim victim status, and hire unprofessional idiots to your inner circle. It sucks, because the Constitutional issues he is raising are critical, and he clearly is a smart guy, but something just isn’t right there. I’m so sick of Alaska Republican politics being in the Twilight Zone.

    I think the Miller campaign is run poorly, but I am supporting him all out for the issues. My wife volunteered to cut a radio ad and working hard with Native people coming in for AFN this week. Every vote counts.

    Also, he followed Joe Miller into the bathroom and continued being obnoxious, screaming lies about Joe Miller( which he was ignoring…the “When are you going to stop beating your wife kind of questions), and shoving people. He wasn’t handcuffed until AFTER he shoved an attendee into a locker. Then the security guards called the police. Isn’t that what they’re supposed to do?

    Additionally, the Daily Caller repeats the same story the Alaska Dispatch printed about it that he approached Miler, just asked a questionand ws handcuffed. Except GUESS WHAT? The blogger is the co-founder and editor of the Alaska Dispatch and was lying. He has been using this venue (not truthfully and fully disclosing his partisanship to the readership) to bash Joe Miller almost on a daily basis. I have to say I am extremely disappointed that the Daily Caller just accepted that article as truth instead of researching like I did to find that video I posted with this.

    The fact that the blogger is the co-founder and editor of the Alaska Dispatch also explains why Joe Miller didn’t attend the debate tonight. GUESS WHO THE “MODERATOR” WAS? You got it.

    I don’t blame Mr. Miller one bit. It’s a publicity stunt by a half-baked blogger in an attempt to damage Miller. It’s also a lie, therefore a non-story. Mr. Miller should just continue talking about the real issues Americans care about.

    even she is not as relevant as she once was. But whoever bought it seems to have done it so they can change the place. I don’t know who makes the comments below the links there, but that person is doing a very bad job. If I were a conspiracy type, I would say someone bought it to control it, and to make the right look bad.

    They say a “religious group” bought it, but they make a habit of poking sticks at religion. Also, they are schizophrenic about Republicans, one good post one negative. I don’t mind reality but they go out of there way to take down the conservatives they don’t like.

    And why do they post every other link with just the comment “dude”? I know Michelle did that now an then, but it is out of hand. I never click on a Dude link, mainly because if they don’t care to explain why I should, I don’t care to waste my time.

    Sometimes those who are on the wrong side of things feel threatened by those who are not on the wrong side – when they know, deep down, they are on the morally wrong side it eats at them and can produce all sort of odd behavior like voting democrat or trying to pick up chicks at a code pink rally etc…

    Miller was on Cavuto today (Oct 18th). HE had the fortitude to dismiss it all as a stunt, but he didn’t particularly like the guy following him into the bathroom (which may be a bit too far in “checking credentials” … no journalistic report on this extension of questioning).

    Where are the “diligent reporters” following Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer into the bathroom, while they “powder their noses?”

Look at McCollum here in Fl. Look at Castle in DE. Now we have a serious Socialist con lady running for Gov here in FL, Alex Sink, and it is a CRUCIAL position, and where is the GOP? I am waiting for an answer from the old guard faithful.

    The new tactic of the left is to accuse TEA Party candidates of being too extreme.

    They have dangerous ideas! They want to follow the Constitution, Egad!

    The “tea-baggers” are dangerous, they say. They want to shut us up and ostracize us as if we were terrorists.

    In reality they are extreme and dangerous, and most likely to provoke violence. It is the left that resorts to illegal and despicable behavior.

    And when they are threatened, or losing, or find themselves jerked out into the light for a change, they do not have the necessary social capability–call it grace, or dignity, or just plain good manners–to suppress their emotions properly. This is because they are they are unhinged–literally NOT HINGED–to anything but the sort of floaty, nebulous, make-it-up-as-you-go Secular Humanism. Not the solid ground that things like God, or family, or the Constitution can anchor somebody in a storm.
