Alex Sink Drips

Alex Sink and Rick Scott agreed before hand to the rules of their debate. One of the rules was that they’d not take notes messages or converse with staff during the debate.

Alex Sink, during the debate, sung her own praises about how she always follows the rules. Then her makeup artist came in and handed her a note with a message. During the debate.

Given Alex Sink’s debate performance, however, we may need to give her a mulligan.

She spent the entire debate bragging about all the newspaper endorsements she’s received. You’d think she was running for Editor of the New York Times. Of course Sink also kept denying she was an “Obama liberal.”

Never mind that few, if any, of the newspapers in Florida that endorsed her would have endorsed her if she was not an Obama liberal. Newspapers, when given the choice, endorse the liberal. Period.

And Sink has lots of endorsements — every Obama liberal running every liberal editorial page in Florida loves Alex Sink.

That’s another reason you should conserve Florida by turning off the Sink.

More here at CNN, which notes that the person who sent Sink the note was the person who signed the “no notes” agreement for Sink.

UPDATE: Just to clarify, the candidates could have debate notes or they themselves make notes, but they could not entertain messages from staffers during the debate. That’s what Sink did.

Funny, just watched Morning Joe spend 10 minutes

on the debate. The topic was how Scott hurt himself by telling Sink not to laugh at his allegations. The fact that Sink was getting crib notes and that Scott called her on it never came up.

The Rules??

George Neitz (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 10:15AM EDT (link)

The only rules that count are the ones that can work in my favor.I don’t need no stinkin rules. All those rules we agreed to they are only to keep those cheating Republicans from telling the truth.
With Sink Florida is SUNK !!!

Sink was pitiful last night......Scott soared!!

fpete13527 (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 10:23AM EDT (link)

I was at the debate last night at Univeristy of South Florida.

It was OVERWHELMING in favor of Scott, from the sign waiving prior to the debate through to the end.

Scott was clear and articulate and positive. Sink was pervasive, inaccurate, and condescending.

Scott told SINK not to laugh at the comments that HE made about HER regarding the banking fraud that she engaged in that resulted in senior citizens losing money. Evidently to Sink, this was funny.
Scott wisely called her on it.

I watched the event with approximately 400 people. The entire room was electric and inspired by Scott’s performance and got a real clear look how BAD Sink is.

As Erick said, Sink cheated in the debate by texting with her aid when the rules were that neither candidate should use cell phone or computer during the debate.

One of the biggest highlights though was Scott’s answer to Sink’s claim of having ALL the FLorida newspaper’s endorsements. Since the entire news media in Florida has to this point been pure BIAS in favor of Obama. Sink proved Scott’s point that she is, and would continue to be a PURE Obama rubber stamp.

Scott nailed this debate hands down last night and there is not one person that I found who didnt agree – other than the Florida news media who love Obama and want more Obama.

Orlando Sentinel's version.

“Scott, 57, an investor in Naples who moved to Florida seven years ago, repeatedly stuck to the national Republican songbook…. ”

First time they’ve even been that subtle in their digs on Scott. They sure hate that he questions the $2.6B hi-speed rail between Tampa and Orlando airports. The ridership & revenue figures don’t ad up at all but Sentinel uses it as a club in their endorsement against Scott.

The greatest evil…is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern. -C.S. Lewis

Makeup Artist?

mirac777 (Diary) Wednesday, October 27th at 6:16AM EDT (link)

That is a good example of how phony these politicians are today. Cant debate without a $75.00 an hour makeup artist. Pretty sad. I wonder if the next artist will be able to hide Sink’s snakelike eyes that seem to be buried way back in her head a la most devious people?
Sink is as phony as the rest of the Socialist party. I have been asking her pointed questions for 7 months now, and not one answer ever. Scott, on the other hand answered most of them via E-mail. Sink is a typical Dem- she doesnt have to answer to the people who pay her salary, period. She is an elitest who says anyone questioning her is just another dumb person who has no right to ask her anything. This is EXACTLY what we dont need in Florida. vote Scott. Stop the creeping Socialism from getting more roots in Florida.

United we stand…. Divided we fall.. into the pits of Socialism.

One note about make-up artists...

johnhandel Wednesday, October 27th at 6:55AM EDT (link)

I’m not saying that most politicians are fake or corrupt, however, there is a reason for the make-up artists on these shows. Typically, people are UGLY on any type/size screen if they aren’t at least touched up a little. This is especially the case when placed on stages under many hot lights. For political debates, people are often placed in situations where they need make-up just to look as good as they do normally.

That said, many politicians are fake, corrupt, worthless liars, etc.

Of course, my personal belief about cheating in a debate by violating ANY pre-agreed condition (including repeated going 1 or 2 or 3 or more minutes over agreed response times) should be penalized by automatic removal from the total debate. You agree no notes/messages from staff during debate, and you accept such a message, you are removed from the debate and your opponent gets free response/Q&A time. (It isn’t like Sink could not have rejected the message. She took quite some time reading it, especially for a 2-sentence message.) If you agree no pre-prepared noted, then the same.

Whatever the rules and conditions are for the debate, they should be followed. The agreements on the rules should be given teeth to make it in their own self-interest not to cheat. (This may be the only way to keep Democrats from breaking debate rules, which is less prevalent than voter fraud, but is still pretty much a one-sided issue.)

Never does a man portray his own character more vividly than in his manner of portraying another.–RICHTER.

People of integrity will follow the rules regardless of penalties.

davesinsanantonio (Diary) Wednesday, October 27th at 8:30AM EDT (link)

People with no integrity will break the rules, or skirt them, or whatever, regardless of penalties, and then try to weasel out of the penalties citing special circumstances, privilege, or whatever. There is no substitute for integrity.
I would rather have someone I am politically opposed to with integrity in office than someone on my side without it. You will always know where you stand if your opponent has integrity, and always be treading on quicksand with friends without it.

Alex Sink's text message to Florida....I am a cheat who is backed by all Unions, all Socialists, and Obama....but don't tell anybody

fpete13527 (Diary) Wednesday, October 27th at 1:17PM EDT (link)

Here in Florida it is all the buzz that people have gotten clear that Sink is a hard core cheat…both on and off the camera. The blatent text cheating in front of the camera was a mirror into her character.

Everyone I’ve spoken to on both sides of the isle were appauled at her blatent disregard for the rules and her overall arrogance and condescending attitude in the debate.

People didnt realize that it is Alex Sink who really has the illegal record, not Scott. Her banking fraud hurt seniors.

They also werent aware that she is 100% being backed by Unions and Soros PACs and that she is for all the worst amendments on the ballot in Florida….4,5 and 6 (all being pushed by out of state Socialist enablers for Soros groups).

Sink has been able to fool some…….but not any longer.

The more people on the right AND left find out about the TRUTH of Sink, they becoem more clear that she is a rubber stamp for Obama/Soros and would be a BIG detriment and mistake for Florida.

The more people find out the TRUTH about Scott, they find out that he is true conservative and a man of integrity and that he would be a BIG empowerment and forwarding for Floida.

All grass roots conservatives her in Florida have taken a stand for Scott. He is the right choice for Florida

Sink now LIES about the text

Common_Cents (Diary) Thursday, October 28th at 9:46AM EDT (link)

When interviewed later, Sink LIED directly into the camera saying she thought it was from a family member, but her “makeup” aide identified the text as from her campaign. LIE. You could see LIE written all over her face.

Secondly, what was the content of the text?
and, did Sink use that information in the debate? That would be the ultimate proof.

Don’t let this LIE die.

Ah, found the text to the LIAR

Common_Cents (Diary) Thursday, October 28th at 10:03AM EDT (link)

family member? LIAR

“But CNN chief national correspondent John King, a debate co-host, said Tuesday that CNN reviewed an audio clip that clearly reveals that the makeup artist alerted Sink about the message.

“We listened very closely to the audio,” King said. ”And the makeup artist, when she approached Alex Sink, said, ‘I have a message from the staff.’ And at that point they looked, it was on a cell phone. . . . It was essentially advice after the last segment of the debate telling her if that question comes up again, remember this, and be more aggressive when Rick Scott questions you.”

“The lawyer that brought that case — it was a class action case against another company — he even has said publicly that Alex Sink had nothing to do with the case, had nothing to do with the situation and didn’t know about the problems,” Sink said. “What more can I say?”

But her aide, May, wanted her to say more. So he sent this message that ultimately embarrassed him and his candidate: “The attorney on Sykes suit said Alex did nothing wrong. Tell not to let him keep talking about her.”

The makeup artist hustled up to Sink, chatted with her[told her it was a message from campaign-per CNN audio] and showed her the message on the Droid phone. Sink stared at it for about seven seconds.

“I sent a message to the hair stylist to say something to her, not to show it to her,” he said.

So, telling someone instead of showing them the text wouldn’t be cheating?
