EDITOR OF REDSTATE

Seven More Days. You Have Not Stopped Obama. You Have Won Nothing.

You have not stopped Barack Obama. You have not, to paraphrase P. J. O’Rourke, served the restraining order.

You have not made this country safe.

You have not stopped the advance of socialism in this country.

You have not stopped the Democrats from destroying the economy.

You, all of you, have won nothing. NOTHING.

And it will stay that way — imaginary wins, fictitious actions against an elite hostile toward the idea of America — unless you vote on November 2nd.

You, me, all of us, we have won not one damn race. Many have decided it is in the bag. Many have decided they’ve done all they can, given all the can, and are now resting.

Don’t rest. The election is exactly seven days from day.

You have won not one race. But you can.

Vote.

And then the real fight begins November 3rd.

In the meantime, here again are the top 99 races in the country. The GOP only needs 39. 37 are already swinging their way. Bold picks are my personal favorites.

Give money. Volunteer. Pray.

Lots of work to do this week.

Events of last night definitely gave me some fuel though.:)

  • dudette

Hall’s townhall meetings if you can call it that—the man is perhaps a nice person but dumber than a box of hammers and as a hammer, is certainly a tool of Piglosi. His district is fairly conservative it should be no sweat picking him off. The only thing I can think is there may be spoilers that is other candidates but none with as much profile or money as the two, maybe they are siphoning votes, who knows. That surprises me. Also surprising that IIario Pantano is not pulling ahead. I gave $ to a ton of candidates and all the ones I donated to seem toss up or whatever—-I hope I am not the kiss of death, but then I also voted McCain.

  • dudette

    did i miss someting

  • dudette

that is Bob Dornan’s old seat–I can’t believe it leans Dem. I gave $ to him too.

It was surely made safer for the Ds after the 2000 census.

  • wjsonl

    Let’s see:

    1) The unions are working harder than they did in 2008 (Obama’s paid them off with billions in “stimulus” dollars) to get out the vote, the Democrat vote, that is.

    2) ACORN is still federally funded (despite being a criminal enterprise) and is using your tax dollars to get out the vote, the Democrat vote, that is.

    3) The mainstream media is just as liberal, if not more so, than it was in 2008, and continues to spin news in favor of Democrats.

    4) The Black Panthers haven’t gone away and continue to organize, agitate, and intimidate people to get out and vote, as long as they are going to vote Democrat, that is.

    5) George Soros is still a far-left billionaire throwing millions of dollars into various politicians war chests, Democrat politicians, that is.

So, you think it’s a conservative/ Republican landslide?

    Weeeelllll…..

  • SG_Lominac

I hear you on number .2 (Federally funded ACORN) and it has always annoyed me to no end that we have stood by while democrats continue to fund agents of our (republican) demise i.e. ACORN, PBS and NPR with taxpayer’s money. I don’t know what all is on the to-do list for a Republican congressional take-over but I hope defunding these entities is high on the list.

You left out John Dennis – why? Even if he doesn’t win, it would make a great statement against Nancy Pelosi.

  • america1st

I quoted the body of your post as the basis of a mass mailing to all “reliable” individuals in my address books. No reason to tweak the less intelligent who might still believe in zero and the tooth fairy.

  • ihateliberals

break America and to reform it into a socialist state like France etc. This union represents the largest group of on-citizens in the country. this might include illegals too. They plan on funneling $2 million into PA to try to defeat Toomey. The RNC had better step up to the plate and help toomey out. Sestak should still be in double digit lost but is in a dead heat now sense the SEIU started beginning foreign money into play.

  • tngal

I know club for growth specified they were not putting in any republican seats in play on the list, and recognized DE and LA as two that are likely to flip, but some tight R seats could use the financial boost. Like Djou in HI 01. he’s slightly above dem Hannabusa in polling. And technically its only been Red a couple of months. Djou is not a seat warmer! He can win this and keep his seat. If anyone is looking to round this out to a hundred, say a buck a candidate or something consider djou. (this and illinois are O’s ‘homestates’ so an R win here would be sweet)

  • destryridesagain

THIS IS IT FOLKS! WE’RE GONNA FIGHT TO WIN AND WIN WE WILL!

  • Kyle-MI

Remember, they can’t cheat if it is not close. The greater the margin of victory, the harder it is to steal an election. Given the track record, we want to avoid recounts.

  • edintexas

The first day of early voting here in TX my wife and I took one of the Grandsons and went to vote. I went back the next day, but the nice ladies told me “Vote Early, Vote Often” was a Chicago theme, we only do the first part.

Just kidding about going back. I’ve voted, and I’m still contributing what I can (being retired means having a fixed income). And I proselytize, in person and via e-mail.

  • wjsonl

Despite all the evidence of voter fraud in 2008 (due to the activities of ACORN, Black Panthers, unions, etc), was there ever a recount? Was a recount even proposed? If the same things occur this time around, will there be a recount?

The answer is “NO WAY, JOSE!” to all of the above.

There will never be a recount on a nationally-significant election, regardless of the evidence of voter fraud, unless the victor is a conservative. End of story.

He’s fighting the mother of all slime campaigns here in MA-10. The public polls have it a toss-up. Internals look a bit better.
But he’s being outgunned on TV and needs money.
Winning MA-10 would strike a blow in the heart of liberalism. Winning it convincingly–meaning the results would be announced nationwide fairly early next Tuesday night–would energize conservatives in the Mountain and Western Time Zones.
Please do what you can, and then a little more.

At least that is what I saw.

A statistical tie is good news also, since I don’t think anyone is counting on the total effect of the backlash against the current regime.

Anna has waged a solid grassroots campaign, going town to town with growing army of volunteers. Gov. Christi has been doing fundraisers for her as well.

I think she will pull it off!

  • http://908StraightSt.wordpress.com/ mbecker908

And that, my friends, would be a miracle on the order of Scott Brown.

Three of the four Republicans running against incumbent Dems are first time politicians. At this point it looks pretty good. The amazing thing is that while three of the seats are in CDs that should be Republican, the fourth – AZ07 – is a “Berkeley” district and the incumbent is THE most liberal Member of Congress. Ruth McClung, his Republican opponent is a physicist and is running one heck of a campaign. I dare say her IQ is higher than the collective IQs of all the Marxists voting for Raul.

  • ccdemuth

Incumbent Congressman Jim Himes is for the same type of command-and-control policies that have consistently led to low growth and high structural unemployment in Eastern Europe in the twentieth century and in Western Europe today: his only problem with pork-barrel stimulus is that there has not been enough of it. His only concern with the healthcare bill is that it did not go far enough. He voted to adjourn congress without addressing January?s massive tax hikes.

The incumbent is for unlimited government. On his watch, he voted for a government that increased borrowing by a trillion dollars a year. His answer is always the same: more government. More taxes, more spending, more job-killing regulation.

Challenger Dan Debicella believes that there is a better way: he is for policies conducive to economic growth such as replacing the pork-barrel stimulus with a payroll tax cut. He opposes all tax increases and intrusive regulation that stifles job creation.

Dan is for a constitutional, limited government. He would cap the size of the federal government at 20% of our gross domestic product. He would force politicians to make trade-offs between competing priorities instead of always growing the size government. He would reduce the number of government employees.

If Dan Debicella shares your beliefs and you want to help him advance those beliefs in congress, then you can do so here: http://www.40seats.com/ct4 . Both sides should be able to agree that your choice is clear and it is important. What kind of country do we want to live in? Do we want to continue down the current direction or do we think that there is a better way?

  • ccdemuth

??I am proud as hell of what we have accomplished…
?I stand behind what we have done and what we have voted for…
?I stand behind what this president and this congress has been able to do?
?I am proud as hell, not just on the economy?
?I am proud as hell…I?m just proud as hell.? ? Jim Himes

Jim Himes voted in favor of the $787 billion dollar stimulus plan. After saddling your family with over ten thousand dollars in additional debt, we still have a ten percent unemployment rate.

Himes voted the healthcare bill into law, a law which is already projected to cost more than was advertised.

Himes voted to increase our national debt by a record $1.9 trillion dollars, bringing our total debt to a new high of $12.4 trillion dollars.

Himes voted with Nancy Pelosi-led Democrats 95% of the time.

After two years of votes that create too few jobs but too big a role for government, most voters in Fairfield County disagree with each of these votes. Two-thirds of these voters think that Washington is on the wrong track. If you want more of the same, then there is an incumbent congressman who is ?proud as hell? of our current direction, but if you think that there is a better way, then you should know that Dan Debicella ( http://www.debicella.com ) thinks so too. If you would like to help Dan get across his message of free enterprise and individual liberty, than you can do so here: https://debicella.blue-swarm.com/donate . Please give what you can because Fairfield County deserves better.

    GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS!!!

I AM BUT A SIMPLE PERSON AND A HUMBLE SINNER AT THAT. HOWEVER, I’M CONFIDENT THAT BY IMPLORING OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY TO BLESS ALL OF YOU FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF RESTORING HONOR, DECENCY AND CHRISTIANITY TO THE WOEBEGONE STATUS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, GOD WILL HEARKEN TO, AND (HOPEFULLY, HOPEFULLY) HEED THE ANGUISHED CRIES OF MY WOUNDED SOUL.

THE FOLLOWING IS MY HEARTFELT PRAYER FOR ALL OF YOU:

O LORD, BLESS YOUR CHRISTIAN SONS AND DAUGHTERS AS THEY VENTURE FORTH TO DO POLITICAL BATTLES WITH DEMOCRATS, COMMUNISTS, MARXISTS, SOCIALISTS, LEFTISTS, LIBERALS, PROGRESSIVES AND ALL OTHER EVIL FORCES WHOSE “DARK” AGENDA IS TO DESTROY AMERICA BY INSIDIOUSLY IMPOSING THEIR GODLESS IDEOLOGY AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL POLICIES UPON ALL AMERICANS.

DEIGN TO MAKE VICTORIOUS ALL DECENT, CONSERVATIVE AND CHRISTIAN CANDIDATES IN AMERICA AND KEEP THEM OUT OF HARM’S WAY BY HOLDING THEM IN THE PALM OF YOUR DIVINE HANDS.

ALL THESE THINGS I HUMBLY ASK OF THEE O LORD IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS, AMEN!!!

  • minncon

Seriously… the other day I went through each bellweather House and Senate race, and made a donation – sometimes small, sometimes larger – to the most conservative candidate.

Until I hit the Grayson/Webster race in Central Florida. I came to the conclusion that the most damage could be done to the loony left’s cause not by throwing Grayson out, but by letting him keep his megaphone.

I stopped short of contributing to him, though – THAT I could NOT do. If my former neighbors in Central Florida are embarrassed enough to toss his big mouth out of office, then so be it.

    Was that wrong of me?

the DNC that GUTTER POLITICS do NOT win elections! You know they are running scared because of the unending dirty political ads on radio, tv and even in the mail. They KNOW Jeff Perry is the most qualified candidate and are following their nationwide campaign strategy of ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

I see you show it as a ‘toss up’ – however, the Dem candidate has done NOTHING but MUCKRAKE, issuing false statements about 20-year-old incidents that were not even Perry’s actions, but those of a subordinate. The Democrat has put out NOTHING on any issues. His record as a District Attorney shows repeated leniency all throughout his term. He moved into a rental in the 10th District shortly before running…still owns his home out of District! I believe that is called ‘carpet-bagging’ – he is NOT the kind of man I want to represent ME in Congress!

Jeff Perry has eight years of HONORABLE service to his constituents as our state representative. He has lived in the District for ALL of that time! He has been elected overwhelmingly four times to serve in the Statehouse! He enjoys BI-PARTISAN support – winning 68% of the vote against a Democrat opponent even when Obama won the district in 08. JEFF PERRY is the REAL DEAL – a man of HONOR – and one who has conducted a First Class campaign, never crawling into the gutter regardless of his opponent’s filthy tactics. JEFF PERRY has shown us over the past eight years that he is a TRUE CONSERVATIVE and a STATESMAN who is concerned about out-of-control state and federal governments. When he is in Washington, he will work to repeal the atrocious Obamacare…and he will work to make our government fiscally accountable!!! Jeff Perry is a man who will serve the MA 10 well!

Gird your loins, good people. Even after November 2nd, much work will need to be done.

As Mark Levin has correctly said time and time again, these people are like locusts. Their appetite for power is insatiable. They will not stop. They are ideologically driven.

One step at a time. That’s why this election is so important — it’s currently the only one we’ve got.

No beers for you! As a current and nearly lifelong resident of CFLA, most of us want that oozing pustule exorcized. Only ones who don’t are those who are on the public dole and prefer to suck the life’s blood out of the rest of us.

  • mrscribbler

…after the new Congress is seated is to impeach Osama Obama.

Nothing else matters. When you are facing a rattlesnake, you don’t get very far by making speeches to it. No, you cut off its head.

If we are fortunate enough to get Republican majorities (that assumes vote fraud can be checked) we must demand that they make the removal of the President the Number One priority. No “hands across the aisle,” “cooperation,” “political realities,” “optics” or any other manifestations of typical political drones doing what they do best.

The root of the nation’s destruction can be found in the White House. Remove him, and his corrupt machine will wither and die.

in AZ01. I would rate AZ05 a toss up right now.

The DCCC has bought about a zillion dollars of Phoenix TV time for really nasty ads. They’re running ‘em against Ben Quayle too but I think he’s safe – Mrs908 & I voted for him on Saturday.
