In my humble opinion, we should put out the message that we want sent and then see who steps up to carry that message. What happens if the messenger that WE choose, like Hensarling, ends up having “character lice.” I’m not saying he does, not by any means. But I don’t think it’s our job to pick the messenger, only the message.

Messengers are fallible, but the right message is immutable.

The house leadership, although imperfect, is miles ahead of the Senate leadership. We need to focus a campaign on McConnell. No McConnell for Minority Leader!

It’s GREAT news. We need someone who’s not an economic illiterate (and who is also a conservative/libertarian) at the helm. Jeb’s been point-man on budget issues since Gramm left, and will be an advocate for limited government as Conference Chair.

I don’t know Hensarling. Can he be better than Michelle?

Now that Pence has bailed on House leadership, I want Hensarling for Speaker.

I’m not 100 % however with what TX Dist 27 is trying to get rid of I would take Mr. Jeb any day of the week. I know what I’m getting there. I might not like it all the time, but I know what I’m getting. That’s why I respected Ronald Reagan.

As for Mike Pence: I hope that he’ll set aside any thoughts of the Presidency for now and return here to Indiana as our next governor. He would make a great successor to Mitch Daniels and would continue the policies of fiscal responsibility that have Indiana one of the very few states to actually have money in the bank after the state’s bills are paid – a seemingly novel concept these days.

Hensarling is great, however, I would much prefer someone you hear something from, like Michelle Bachmann or Jason Chaffetz. These two will speak up and let no grass grow under their feet. We need strong, outspoken leadership right now.

It seems to me that either Jeb or Michelle would be great in a leadership position, Conference Chair or whatever. I think Bachman is better known, more media presence, can explain things to a larger audience. Perhaps, all other things being equal(I know, they seldom are) I’d opt for the best marketing.

We have got to start off with the idea that the country owes the GOP nothing, and the party owes the country big time. Seems to me that means doing some serious outreach in clear terms that get peoples’ attention. I peg Michelle for that. Maybe Hensarling can do it, too. But — outside hard conservative circles, who knows him? Not being smartazz, just asking.

We do NOT want cap & trade

We do NOT want to have world government dictate to the UNITED STATES of AMERICA

We DO want a LIMITED government as prescribed by our founding fathers

Is there a leader in the House & Senate who will PROMISE TO STAY TRUE TO THESE CONSERVATIVE VALUES??????????
