Why Does Tim Geithner Still Have A Job?

One week before the midterm elections in 2006, George W. Bush publicly said he would stand by Donald Rumsfeld. The day after the election, Donald Rumsfeld was out the door.

The President, Republicans, and virtually everyone else blamed the war for the GOP midterm disaster. Rumsfeld was the head that rolled.

The day after the election.

Tim Geithner’s head remains in Washington. Why? The President says it was the economy, not his policies. The Democrats say it was the economy, not their policies.

Why then does the Treasury Secretary remain?

plus to fire Geitner would be a clear message that he is admitting his economic policy has failed and I dont think he is capeable of admitting failure.

Why would Obama fire Geithner? Employers usually do what they can to retain those employees whom they deem to be doing an excellent job.

If one were to expect Obama to fire Geithner, one would have to assume that Obama wants the economy to improve, and that Geithner is not fulfilling his role in helping to bring about recovery. I have long-since disabused myself of that assumption.

I assume that Obama is quite pleased with Geithner, and with the direction of the economy. He’s given me enough evidence over enough time to feel confident in that assumption.

Geithner’s “interesting” tax returns give Obama a certain leverage over Turbotax that he wouldn’t have over say, Paul Samuelson.

He knows how to lose gracefully not only at basketball, but golf as well.

because he does and says exactly what he is told to say and do. Competency is not a requirement to serve in the Obama administration, only loyalty is required, and rewarded. Watch Geithner when he speaks (which has become very rear), his head is somewhat down, unlike Obama’s nose in the clouds, and his eyes are shifting all over the place. It’s as though he doesn’t want anyone looking at him.

IronDio Priest is quite right: Bernanke and Geithner have followed orders for precisely the result desired: eventual bankruptcy AND hyper-inflation so that the FedGov can socialize the entire economy under the agitprop pretense that:

“Capitalism has failed us and can no longer be seen as an adequate solution to the disaster caused by the reckless policies of greed during the W. Bush years. We have tried to right this by staying within the system, but now drastic measures are needed: the new American People’s Dollar will be given to you at an exchange of 10,000 old dollars for one new one. This will stabilize the situation, along with the price controls recently enacted, and the America First Employment Act, which will force companies to double the number of their employees, thus ending unemployment.”

That is the goal, which for some reason they think will work, possibly because of better technology which Stalin lacked.

The roles of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, George Soros, and a host of other class-warfare Dems in catalyzing the 2008 meltdown have gone down the memory hole. As they destroy the economy, the agitprop blame on Republicans present and past will increase.

With his severence package he could help pay for my tax reform project. http://tiny.cc/arttaxes

    Assuming he actually paid taxes!!!

But as with so very much in this Absurdist’s dream of an Administration, the reality of the matter is more than rational people not paying very close attention can bring themselves to believe. Wonderful election results aside, if people really knew and understood the implications of QE2, there would be violence.

The Democrats are in their death throes, but they have stumbled into a very successful formula: part “Emperor’s New Clothes” and part deranged extremism.
We’ve got the Chinese and Russians screaming that our monetary policy is insane, and they are right. Welcome to the rabbit hole.

he could no longer blame Bush.

he could no longer blame Bush. By removing Timmy, it would be an acknowledgment of failure by and of his administration.

Geithner has followed Obama’s [Soros's] orders to the tee -

    - overwhelm and destroy the economy
    - destroy all private business, especially small business
    - channel all stimulus to SEIU, AFL-CIO, and NEA
    - promote a raise in taxes to big business to further destroy economy
    - hide all of the above, since most media will not question
    - team Fed (Bernanke/Keynes) to do another $800 billion bailout
    - direct maximum amount of tax money into fraudulent EPA rules
    - empower the redistribution of wealth to Soros political PACS
    - repeat all of the above and tell the people we just need more

I excpect him to get a promotion.

    Because Goldman Sachs said so.

Clearly Erick, the Democrats are not good at that whole accountability thang, as if we needed reminding of that.

They must be forced to do things, and even when we’re dragging them kicking and screaming they won’t.

he is failing. He’s there to kill capitalism, and he’s slowly and surely doing it. For soros and zero, he’s doing a great job.

  • astrolite

Tim and his father are in on the South Bank and Carbon credit futures market scam! Along with Obama’s brotherinlaw. He has to pass “Cap& Trade” the environmentalists are counting on it for billions of our dollars. They expect to make off the free credits given to them for their support!

  • kaptkane

    are that timmy still has a job because;
he is one of the scumbag “elite”
    he (supposedly) speaks chinese

  • p3orion

Obama won’t can Geithner, because he still doesn’t think either of them has done anything wrong. He still (against evidence) believes that their “stimulus” was the right thing to do, and prevented a new “great Depression” rather than the increasingly-obvious conclusion that it has made a bad recession worse.

Obviously it’s not just us great unwashed masses (clinging to our guns and Bibles) who are too ignorant to appreciate his greatness. The economy as well, just can’t understand how it’s supposed to react to his brilliant policies.

He’s doing what he is told to do, I just name those that are doing the telling. Yes, I agree, he is a Soros and O puppet.

The question is not why Obama has not fired Geithner, The question was, Mr. Soros may I fire Geithner. Clearly the answer was no.

For those of you who don’t believe in biblical prophecy, you will think I’m nuts, but if you look up the Bilderberg group, you will see that the sec’y of the treasury was hand picked, the same as the head of the Fed.

Don’t ever count on an audit of the Fed.

Even Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory backs this up.

And quite honestly, you only need look at the economic policy path this country has been on to realize the destruction of the dollar and bringing America down to size is the goal.
