Wherever will we get such a GREAT bad example now?

  • msctex

Such is the world we live in. One of the networks or CNN will give him a job just to spite us. Because it can’t have anything to do with ratings.

  • bk

I didn’t realize his show was “anti-establishment”. He seems to toe the NBC “I hate Bush” line pretty well if you ask me. To say this is “rambling” would be an understatement.

is Mathews next…or is there something else behind this?

  • Doc Holliday

maybe Olbermann will be the new White House press secretary.

  • http://www.neoavatara.com/blog neoavatara

    To start the weekend.

Pretty sad, though…he is too much of an idiot for even MSNBC.

  • throwback59

only man she ever truly loved.

To quote another MESSNBCER: I have a thrill running up my leg.

Now Erick is just throwing a presidential contender in every broadcast in order to get attention. Have to say, that’s a pretty smart idea. But Newt?

  • Jack_Savage

“Well the weeks went by and
    Spring turned to Summer
    And Summer faded into Fall
And it turns out he was a missing person
    who nobody missed at all”

Are there any bridges this guy hasn’t burned? Maybe he and Alan Grayson can team up and do a Broadway show. Or at least share bunk beds.

I just had to go look….. for the entertainment.

The best part about it… when I saw the headline I thought I remembered him being fired earlier, and Erick was just saying this was his last show. That’s how much attention I have payed to Olbermann.

  • macbookben

    …moving forward

  • Jack_Savage

“And thanks to my most indefatigable cheerleader, Tim Russert…”

Sure, Keith. Whatever you say. Too bad Russert is not around to answer “Who?” when asked about you.

  • Jack_Savage

    The biological sense.

That’s probably why Maddow fell for him.

Palin left her last elected office on her terms. Newt blew it. Palin has never sided with Hillary, Bill and Jesse against JC Watts. Palin has never sucked up to the Church of Global Warming. Newt is a member of the church.

  • http://www.buckforcolorado.com bjwilson83

A huge huge thank you to Comcast. Maybe they will be able to help NBC understand the meaning of a “successful business model”.

  • http://908StraightSt.wordpress.com/ mbecker908

    Franz Rule.

  • edstate

I certainly wasn’t a fan. His show was almost laughably one-sided and, really, ironic in that it showcased the very venom and dirty fighting he claimed to stand against.

But I also hope this was a business decision. As opposed to a censorship-ish one.

  • macbookben

    whatever

“you have been charged five credits for violating the verbal morality statute”

  • donnybrooke

Not! … but it wouldn’t surprise me.

  • lgbpop

I feed so bad for BOTH of his devoted viewers!

  • tngal

This is great. I feel kinda sorry for the Daily Caller. They paid someone to watch the silly thing. Now if they’d just get rid of Madsow, change their call letters and just run NCIS reruns they might get an audience.

  • http://www.buckforcolorado.com bjwilson83

I haven’t the slightest clue what you’re talking about, but it looks scary. Sorry that thing got to you.

  • jeepingeoff

    ….from Dateline Hollywood:

“Well that sucks. He is one of the smartest men on TV. He made MSNBC the success it is. Maybe HBO will give him a show so he can curse. Love you Keith. You better show up soon someplace”

    Clueless yet priceless…..

  • http://908StraightSt.wordpress.com/ mbecker908

    you’re talking about either.

OTOH, all the regular posters here know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

  • smitch61

I hope you have enough money saved to take care of your family… Never want that to happen to anybody. With that said… good frickin riddance.

  • smitch61

    N/T

  • http://www.buckforcolorado.com bjwilson83

I hope it makes you feel good. Doesn’t impress me.

  • sharonmcp

    “Crap”

    “What???? NOOOOO.”

“I guess Comcast did not want a well-read journalist who is prone to saying something on national TV.”

    And my favorite so far…

“Maybe he’ll run for office then”

    LOL

  • The_Rebel

they are not biased to the left by filling his slot with someone as equally bombastic on the right- Michael Savage. Yeah, right!

  • AceInTX

You’ve thrown me with the context

  • izoneguy

So impressed that I will say it again:

That did make me feel good & I am VERY impressed

  • The_Rebel

he was already fired by them in 2003. LOL.

  • AceInTX

I’m figuring it’ll be more like a Bill Moyers or maybe they try to act like they’re going “Objective” with someone like Dan Rather….heh

  • izoneguy

to pull out all the good “Bathtub Boy” jokes.

    Can’t wait.

I love to wallow in the misery of the left.

  • powertothepeople

and I hope him nothing but misery for the rest of his leftist life

  • izoneguy
  • AceInTX

so where does Sarah fit here?

  • AceInTX
  • The_Rebel

if offered (which it won’t be), since he or she will suffer the same slow poisoning as Scarborough.

  • http://www.buckforcolorado.com bjwilson83

You are easily impressed, my friend.

  • speciallist

cause you ALWAYS have to get the last word..

  • AceInTX

talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire….

Watching MSNBC trying to dig itself out of the hole it’s in is like watching a train wreck happen in slow motion…watching corpses flying everywhere…knowing you should be looking away in horror but not being able to take your eyes off the carnage!

    sense than his first.

  • Common_Cents

He has blood red eyes and dang near foams at the mouth. How anyone could watch that guy for more than 10 seconds is beyond me.

I wonder if Olbermann was such a weirdo off camera(imagine that) that he had to go, since they still have all the other libnuts. Or his contract was up and the others are on death row until their contracts are up.

I’m sure we’ll hear from olbermann staffers soon as I think he alienated himself and created many enemies.

  • WarEagle01

They are desperate for ratings and will probably be willing to put up with anything–even a nasty racist like Bathtub Boy–to get back into fifth or sixth place on prime time..

  • http://www.examiner.com/x-1597-Charlotte-Law--Politics-Examiner Mike gamecock DeVine

I had to keep adjusting the color on the TV when olbermann was on, due to the fluorescent quality of his botoxic complexion, so there’s a benefit.

I understand he was terminated 2 years into a 4 year contract. Chances are this is actually a good deal for these guys, so no drama there. He’s still going to get a big severance payment that will allow him to take some time off and do interviews with others who did exactly the same thing (like Conan).

It will give him some time to really, really study Michael Moore’s towering feats of the documentary art. I am sure there are fine points he missed on his first 20 viewings.

I think Rachel is next. Her smarminess makes no sense if its no longer counterbalanced by Keith’s frenzy. And without those two lynch-pins (forgive the heated rhetoric) the other trolls, Schultz and O’Donnell, are like “a fish without a bicycle” (sorry for the hunting and physical exercise metaphors).
