Rescheduling Trump

Unfortunately, I’ve just been informed that Donald Trump needs to reschedule our one on one interview. Those of you who have registered already will get a note when the rescheduled interview takes place.

Sorry about that. And my plane ticket isn’t refundable. Oh well.

Otherwise the “Celebrity Apprentice” deal would be off

Obviously, he won’t run. Which would make the interview kind of DOA, no?

I can understand that you hope that this Trump interview will drive interest and attention to Red State..as it’s been said often..there’s no such thing as BAD punblicity..and I’m fine with that,.. but given his recent, and rapid implosion ( I trust you’ve heard his phone interview on CNBC, The NY Times has done a thorough, and accurate job of dismantling him.

The absolute LAST thing we, as conservatives should want would be a GOP debate field that includes Trump. It would be a huge distraction, and keep serious candidates from getting their message across. So why would you, and RS, want to rehabilitate him…give him cover, so to speak? We owe the NY Times a big attaboy. ( Once a decade, I guess..)

Let’s not forget, this whole Trump phenomenon started when CPAC, at the last minute, gave him a speaking slot. No way that should have occured. And let’s hope that CPAC has learned its lesson, under new leadership..and cleaned up its act for next year.

I don’t like him. Although, I am a big fan of the Apprentice, my guilty pleasure.

I do not believe The Donald has any more chance then The Newt or anyone named McCain. Donald is well versed on Chicago politics and knows what Obama is and how to play him.

Obama spent over 2 million dollars fighting efforts to force him to release a harmless piece of paper. My understanding is that he used funds left over from his 2008 campaign fund.

Donald forced the thin skinned narcissist to finally make that document public. The Donald ‘Trump’ed’ him with a few well placed words.

Donald is not a Conservative, he would not get much Tea Party support. He would also have to take a pay cut to become President. I never thought he was a serious candidate but he is very serious about getting Obama out of the White House. I agree with Eric, he is not running but he is serving a purpose that is in the public interest. I think Sarah is doing the same thing but that’s a different subject.

I stand by Herman Cain with great hope.

donald gets things done…long form style.

sounds like no GOPer can beat obama so i guess redstaters will vote for him…

cain does seem to bridge the gaps tho…

i prefer the conservative,palin/cain but pawlenty/bachman would be strong.

Erick, You are not wealthy, at least I don’t think so from what you write. Tell Donald you would like to be reimbursed, you have a wife and children to support. He should not have a problem with this.

If the ticket isn’t refundable, just fly to New York anyway! I’m sure you can find something to do, lol

I would not have had him scheduled for an interview in the first place. It is blatantly obvious that the man just wants attention. So, why bother giving it to him? We have better things to do here at redstate.com than bother with some greedy, selfish, bombastic individual like Donald Chump. Tell him if he wants to reschedule he can peregrinate his ass to Atlanta.

forget this useless interview. Trump is not a useful contender for the Republican nomination and if by some outside chance he should win it then we are as doomed as if we had re-elected Obama. Trump does not need to have any free publicity form the Right. He is a turn coat Democrat. he is a deal breaker for the Party. There are so many ways you can spend your time and money than to give Trump any recognition at all.

  • ihateliberals

This would be the conservative ticket that would get independents and the absent conservative vote back to the Republican Party.

  • acat

without the constitutional question of whether the POTUS and VEEP can be from the same State, and with the benefit of getting a strong Southerner on the ticket…

One really has to wonder considering most of his time was wasted on the birth certificate and telling us how he’d “take the oil”, Makes me wonder if this was all an act setup by Trump and NBC to make Republicans look bad by stirring up the Birther story and heating up the polls while showing potential voters that the GOP isn’t focused on the economy. Remember Trump was democrat before he switched, again. Its a harsh opinion but Trump did waste our time and his with unimportant nothingness………..that sums up his alleged presidential bid.

Or was it all for the ratings which he knew would drop as soon as he back out? Wouldn’t surprise me to see a ratings decline considering all the hot air and no real strategy to win the presidency. And now Trump plans to write a policy book, should be interesting.
