Because They Won’t Attack Hillary Clinton, They Attack Josh Trevino

The left is in a tizzy because some “well meaning” people are on a flotilla to Gaza and Josh Trevino dares to say what so many of the rest of us are thinking — if Israel takes out the flotilla in self defense, so be it.

Frankly, from my vantage point, I can’t see any other rational position — particularly for those who support Israel, particularly for conservatives.

These flotillas of leftists have been well known to smuggle arms into Gaza and cause other problems. They are not humanitarian, so much as they are anti-Israel. They ignore the daily rocket attacks launched into Israel by terrorists in Gaza and, in fact, typically make excuses for those attacks.

So Trevino gets attacked by Salon, Media Matters, and Think Progress for saying on Twitter, “Dear IDF: If you end up shooting any Americans on the new Gaza flotilla — well, most Americans are cool with that. Including me.”

Frankly, I think it is a testament to the correctness of Josh’s opinion that the far left is outraged by it. If Americans do join a flotilla to aid and abet terrorist thugs in Gaza under the cover of humanitarian aid, they take their lives into their own hands and Israel has a clear and reasonable right to defend itself.

Now, for all those of you hand wringing that Josh or me are extremists for daring to speak truth to leftists, add Hillary Clinton to the list of extremists for agreeing with us.

we do not believe that the flotilla is a necessary or useful effort to try to assist the people of Gaza. Just this week, the Israeli Government approved a significant commitment to housing in Gaza. There will be construction materials entering Gaza and we think that it’s not helpful for there to be flotillas that try to provoke actions by entering into Israeli waters and creating a situation in which the Israelis have the right to defend themselves.

Really, if there is outrage, the outrage should be that yet again the American left has turned a blind eye toward Israel and a sympathetic eye to terrorists who’d be perfectly happy to wipe our democratic ally off the face of the earth.

    I’m glad that Mr. Trevino said those comments. I’m sick of Leftists thinking that they can stand shoulder to shoulder with terrorist scum and demand that people not make any moral judgments on how they deserve any negative consequences for doing so.

    Bravo! Mr. Trevino! Bravo!

    I am 100% certain of that, and thus 100% supportive of the IDF’s actions. I will be surprised if I find out that any Americans die as a result of whatever actions the IDF ultimately takes in keeping with its function as the defender of Israel’s sovereignty. I am a bit disappointed to see that the IDF apparently sees more reason to protect American civilians than some conservatives appear to. I like Josh, and this isn’t a slam on him specifically, but we should never be “cool” with American citizens being shot at (and potentially killed) by foreign governments, regardless of their naivete and political beliefs. Even if it ultimately turns out to be an acceptable (if slim) potential loss in the context of a foreign government legitimately protecting itself (as is the case with Israel), the death of US citizens as a result of the actions of a foreign power should never be looked upon with indifference.

    (As an aside, I will note that Greenwald did attack Hillary Clinton for her statement. While Greenwald remains a clueless idiot, he is, to his credit, a *consistent* idiot.)

    They should, however, sink the whole damn flotilla. And if any of the folks on the boats manage to get into life rafts, they should sink those too.

    Put some mine in front of the flotilla and warn them.As far as american citizens being harmed they are looking forward to Israel over reacting.They shouldn’t be there.I would count them as the enemy.Sink them all.

    is siding with the enemy. I believe that is known as “treason.” If they are harmed or killed, it will be as a result of their own decision to align themselves with the enemy.

    If Jane Fonda had been arrested, tried, convicted of treason, and executed upon her return from North Vietnam, we wouldn’t have this problem.

    It’s still not too late… I don’t believe there’s a statute of limitations on treason.

    Operation gun runner or fast and furious where the leftist it control of the federal entity, (justice department) forces Americans to sell guns to foreign drug cartels. The leftist in control of the EPA tells the border patrol that they can?t go into parts of the United States along the border, so as to protect the environment. What the left is really doing is helping foreign invaders to establish a ?beach head? and then supplying them with quality weapons. No where within the federal compact is the authority given to it, the ability to render a State impotent in it?s own protection. The same as with Israel.
