An Open Letter to Anyone Who Thinks Obama Should Not Go On Vacation

Dear People Who Think Obama Should Not Go On Vacation:

Are you out of your ever living mind?!?!?!

Have you not seen what destruction on our economy and morale this man has wrought for three years?!?!

And you want him to go back to Washington, D.C.? Congress too? You are out of your mind.

The correct answer is STAY ON VACATION ALL OF YOU. The stock market tends to do better when Congress is gone. The world tends to run fine when this President is on vacation. Our freedoms cannot be further encroached while Obama is in Martha’s Vineyard.

Please, stop asking this man to come back to Washington where everything he touches tends to break down.

When he comes back in September he says he will have a plan to create jobs. The last several plans he had to create jobs killed or destroyed more private sector jobs than even the most radical leftist could have hoped for. Please, please, please stop saying he needs to come back to Washington.

Mr. President, you take as much vacation as you want. In fact, if you want to leave the country and go visit your relatives in Kenya or just go for a safari or go see your old stomping grounds in Indonesia or, heck, take the family to see penguins in Antarctica or even go to Bora Bora, I’d be glad to have you take say . . . the next twelve months off.

And even better, I’m sure we can find some people to fund your vacation other than the American taxpayers who you’ve been using to fund your political campaign bus tour.

This whole administration has been so destructive, it’s unbelievable. The scary part: He’s not finished yet!

  • denoff51

In fact, after the last vote on the debt ceiling, they can ALL stay on vacation until after the next election when a good deal of them will be voted out of office. Can you hear me now, Mr. Duffy?

  • bobguzzardi

Erick makes a valid point even as he makes it humorously.

  • usanovak

I like the way Erick is thinking.
    Jim in Overland Park, KS.

  • gawken

Lawd help us then when Congress returns..

  • standingonthewall

If we could also arrange for those promulgating the economy-killing, job-killing regulations to join the President on his extended vacation, so much the better. Maybe by the time they return we will have arranged for them to work in the private sector.

  • smagar

    Actually, for all Americans.

He’s left Washington, so it’s harder for him to damage the economy.

AND, he’s chosen to go to a place (a $50,000-a-week-rental on Martha’s Vineyard) that makes him look aloof, out-of-touch and self-absorbed.

That last part makes it very, very easy for us to argue that Obama literally doesn’t care about most Americans—only the rich and well-connected ones. The president obviously isn’t stupid, so he must know the optics of his vacation spot are muy bad. And yet, he goes there anyway. What a “Let Them Eat Cake” thing for him to do.

..it’s the imperial fleet he has to drag along, and his royal tastes that have to be constantly slaked that I object to.

Yes, absolutely, take all the vacation you want, Mr. President. But, just park the twin 747′s at Anddrews, leave the $2 million busses in the parking lot, and check into the Super 8 Motel in Steubenville for the next 16 months. To heck with all the jet-setting, Get the man a Playstation with a Tiger Woods game on it, let him stay up past his bedtime, and wake up around noon each day. Lock him down in absolute safety: Ring the place with tanks, anti-aircraft batteries, a couple divisions of armed-to-the-teeth soldiers, I want him extremely well-rested– and most definitely safe.

And let him eat all the greasy cheeseburgers he can stomach.

  • travis690

    Take everyone with you!

The whole nation would be best off if we had less to deal with in Washington, District of Criminals.

And shut off the communications with the country while you’re at it.

  • lizfstone

if he rides off into the sunset on a girl’s bike (with helmet) wearing his mom jeans. Hopefully he won’t get the idea to have a $2million Canadian made bike.

of heads in liberal media pressrooms at this

    Nice.

I think he should start out on a tour of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Then … who knows?

  • smitch61

Of all of the issues that bug me immensely about Obama, his vacation schedule is not one of them. He has two beautiful children that do not deserve to be held up in the big house. In all honesty though, it is the vacation sites that he has visited that make me believe he is quite balsy or out of touch. Previous presidents went to camp David or their own wealthy compounds.. (Obama did not have time to create his own compound) lol… the excessive golfing does bother me though, it is over the top. Then again, other presidents got out and jogged every morning.. so I am not sure You are correct, the more they are gone the less damage they do;.

  • Michael Dugas

Mr. Resident. Just stay there. If you’re needed for something we’ll….well no we won’t call you. Just stay there.

  • banzaibob

long enough until you are sent on permanent vacation in 2013.

  • paco12348

It would be nice if BO considered the future of his children before he institutes freedom killing, economy killing, Constitution killing programs for the US.

Kids should be left out of the politics. Palin’s kids can attest to that.
I guess when Dems do that they would say they are just raising the level of the debate ala Maxine Waters. lolol

  • johnt

Besides it’s a dead planet, nothing for O to destroy.
I would like to be on the beach with a camera when Michelle emerges from the water in her string bikini, a shot worthy of Madame Trussards Wax Museum. “isn’t she beautiful”, words for the ages, or a Bela Lugosi film.

  • acat

The Doctor Who episode “Waters of Mars” comes to mind .. but I think I’m going to go with the more classic Elton John reference.

Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise a kid
In fact, it’s cold as {hades}..

(it’d be quite fitting for our cool and aloof POTUS)

and buy Obama some new golf clubs. Maybe he will get the hint that we want him to play more golf. We could also throw in a guide on how to qualify for the pro tour. He is egotistical enough to believe that he could make it. That should keep him busy for the rest of his term.

  • izoneguy

Please, stop asking this man to come back to Washington where everything he touches tends to break down.

I would say that everything Obama touches turns to s***

  • swami7774

Thats’s what’s on the menu at Among the Flowers, a restaurant in Edgartown( where we’ve spent the last 3 days on a mini-vacation). I asked the waitress if it was meant as a compliment or insult. “Oh, a compliment. We all love him!” was her answer. I explained the alternate meaning to her. She had idea.

Thats’s a pretty good illustration of the mindless, goo-goo eyed admiration the elite here have for the guy. It’s like being on another planet…one where the masses haven’t gotten word that the country is falling apart.

  • colonel85

Stay home Reid, you too Pelosi and that goes for John Boehner and the rest of the House. You can’t legislate from home and if the foreigner stays in Mass. he can’t sign any tom foolery into law.

If 536 of you just stay the hell out of Washington, America will recover on its own.

  • lineholder

contribute to this extended vacation. Every time Obama “leads from behind” on economic issues, it impacts their stock markets as well as our own, doesn’t it?

  • perry4prez

I am willing to agree that the president can take a vacation, but it is disgusting that O’Bumbling has chosen to go to the wealthy resort of Marthas Vineyard when most of us have to make do with a staycation. He is completely out of touch.

  • Common_Cents

    We’d never see him again.

  • williamjameson

so yes, stay on vacation. Between Obama and the failed leadership coupled with an anemic congress, we’ll we could do worse, far worse. Anyone who wants 12 people to include a jobs bill only wants something done today plus they also want Obama and congress back today.

Also, the stimulus word is being floated again. If you long gold then don’t worry because our feckless leader is out of good ideas. Obama has no economics team, they quit because Obama is too stubborn to listen to good ideas. Hell, they even floated Reaganomics and Arther Laffer couldn’t sell it up the ladder.

The only way President Barack Obama can solve the nation?s economic woes is to adopt ?common-sense? Reaganomics, the policy?s architect Arthur Laffer claims in an exclusive Newsmax interview.

Laffer said the White House called him in the spring and asked him to speak to Obama?s former Council of Economic Advisors? chairman Austen Goolsbee ? and he had told him exactly the same thing.

?Reaganomics would fix any economy that?s in the doldrums,? Laffer said. ?It?s not a magic sauce, it?s common sense.

?You?ve got to get rid of all federal taxes in the extreme and replace them with a low-rate flat tax on business net sales, and on personal unadjusted gross income. That?s number one.

?Number two, you have to have spending restraint. Government spending causes unemployment, it does not cure unemployment.

?Number three, you need sound money. Ben Bernanke is running the least sound monetary policy I?ve ever heard of,” Laffer said.

?Number four you need regulations, but you don?t need those regulations to go beyond the purpose at hand and create collateral damage. The regulatory policies are really way off here.

?And lastly you need free trade,” Laffer said. “Foreigners produce some things better than we do and we produce some things better than foreigners. It would be foolish in the extreme if we didn?t sell them those things we produce better than they do in exchange for those things they produce better than we do.?

the fact that he is so unconcerned about the image he’s projecting, of dissing the American People, even while his ratings keep dropping, is a very ominous thing. He’s not worried. Why? He must have something up his sleeve that he feels confident he’ll win the election no matter what he does or does not do. I smell something coming. Everyone pray.
