Barack Obama’s Fun With Pronouns

By now you’ve probably heard about Barack Obama’s interview with Jake Tapper where he says, “I believe all the choices we’ve made have been the right ones.”

I want to focus on something else that I think gets to the heart of the matter. It’s Barack Obama’s fun use of the pronoun “it,” as in the economy. He tells Tapper, “The economy is not where it wants to be.”

Since when did the economy have an opinion on where it wants to be? When did we anthropormophize the economic? Does Walt Disney know about this? Maybe we should put this economy in the Hall of Presidents or something and let it speak for itself.

“I want to be bigger,” said Mr. Economy.

Nooooooo. This is the President giving away the game. Barry O thinks, like with the physician, the economy should heal itself. The economy does not want anything. People want jobs. Investors want growth. The economy Does. Not. Want.

Barack Obama has become so detached from his own destructive policies, he is having to anthropormophize the freaking economy and give it wants and desires so he can just blame it. It’s just not living up to what it wants.

The question is “where does Barack Obama want the economy to be?” But were we to ask that question and get an answer, the next question would be, “why is it not there then?” And Obama would blame the Republicans, but he would then have to ignore his first stimulus and two years of Democrat control of both Congress and the White House.

?could just get that darn jobs bill passed, he could stop Barry from raping the economy.

  • benko

he wants the economy to be i.e. part of the plan?

  • cwfoster

but it’s not like he’s going to suddenly turn honest and ADMIT that!

when you vote for “Hope and Change”. Barry “Hopes” the economy can right itself and if not he can “Change” his mind about what did and didn’t work or who he can blame it on this week. This so-called president and his minions have no idea what to do with the excepton of throwing more money, that we don’t have, at the situation. He is using his usual strategy of piling enough manure on something and it should finally start to grow.

We don’t need cute liars. We need wisdom and good policies. Vote GOP.

In speaking of the president “it” needs to go!

Andrew Jackson was a brutal man, many of his time were, he went against the advice of his ol” drinking buddy Sam Houston, who was a friend of the Indian and a blood brother to the Chrerokee, and moved the Indians from their homes down “the trail of tears” to their fenceless prisons in Oklahoma, sort of like a 19th century Bataan death march.
Jesus Christ would have a tough time up against the likes of Boehner, McConnel and their lot who like Rush Limbaugh really want our government to fail in order to take over in a bloodless coup.
You should really examine your own patriotism if this is what you wish.

Barack Obama not getting permission to drunk-piss another $500Bn of stimulus into the gutter. As to the Christ reference, it seems to me Barack “this mess I inherited” Obama seems to be the guy in DC right now who most frequently washes his hands of doing his job properly.

just a little trivia in response to the earlier Jackson quote of “one man with courage makes a majority”. I thought someone might like it as many forget our personalities of history. A bit more trivia, Jackson fought the battle of New Orleans, but the battle did not influence the war as it was already over but news had not yet reached the Jackson or British camps.
    There, wasn’t that fun?

  • rulken

I’m beginning to think this so-called-president is on crack!
    He has totally lost it!

  • Repair_Man_Jack

If you’d hit the button labeled “Reply to this” under Gamecock’s post, he and I would have grokked.

Also, Jackson supposedly had people passing out drunk on the WHite House lawn during his inaugural ball. About what can be expected from a man credited with the founding of the modern Democratic Party.

President Obama is a clear and present danger to the future of this country. He must be removed from office this is job one.

  • gizmo

Jackson – a fellow Democrat – was also pro-slavery, was not afraid to express HIS opinions & stand up for what he believed…

The reference to Christ? Cheap shot. Especially since it’s “mostly” that gang that would BACK the Bible while your Buddy Barry is busy with his Muslim buddies chasing “God’s Army” around Africa & bombing Quadaffi out of existance…

    Who’s trying to change America?!?!

  • ltcoldon

Your history is excellent your judgement is not.Hope you can pay off your student loan so I don’t have to my tax money.

  • johnt

they have had ample time to pretensions of adulthood, and to take responsibility for their infantile faith in government. Appropriations are written there, not in the Bush WH. Own up kiddies.
But maybe success was never the purpose.

  • kcdude

Treaty of Ghent was signed before the Battle of New Orleans but had not been ratified. It has been speculated that the Brits might have decided to ignore the treaty if we had lost that battle.

One other small point. Jackson was the last president under whom we had no deficit. Not just a balanced budget. No deficit.

Or is it a different form of lefty projection when he says “it” wants to be bigger?

  • http://pocketchangeproductions.net/ anotherindyfilmguy

Does he mean him and his teleprompter? Or him and Joe? Or him Michelle? Or him and Soros/Alinsky etc? Or him giving in to the voices in his head? Or do the paintings in the hallways speak to him at night?

Some clarification about whom he meant by “we” would be nice since he is in an executive/decision making office and all.

?The economy is not where it wants to be.?

He doesn’t want to say “where I want it to be”, which is “worse than it is now”.

It’s a lot like “information wants to be free”, which means, of course, that they want it to b e free.

I think he wants it to be in worse shape, so that he can institute his wonderful socialist policies.

?I believe all the choices we?ve made have been the right ones.?

Including the decision to sell weapons to Mexican drug cartels, at least one of which was used to kill a US Border agent.

You can extend the list of “correct” decisions.

Seen a few days ago on the Web:

Ten years ago we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now we have no jobs, no hope, and we’re outta cash.

  • rosanadana

since he seldom ‘jokes’ about anything, even using his ever-present teleprompter. Note that without the device, his double-speak rhetoric disappears. Obama’s narcissistic nature is clearly unable to reveal a human side.

My take on his subconscious comments from Tapper’s interview:

“I believe all the choices WE’VE made have been the right ones.”

Translates to: I BELIEVE all the choices I’VE made have been the right ones. (My decisions are never wrong, it’s all Bush’s fault.)

“The economy is where IT wants to be.”

Translates to: The economy is where I WANT it to be. Or maybe: The economy is NOT where I WANT it to be. (I take no responsibility for the dismal economy–it’s free-spirited.)

The man is ingenuous to a fault.
