Breaking Down the Election Results #EERS

Lots of stuff to get into on the radio tonight. I’ll cover last night’s southern primaries out of the gate. But then there is Chris Matthews’ bigotry on the radio. Likewise, what is Obama really doing about Iran?

You can listen live tonight on the WSB live stream and call in at 1-800-WSB-TALK.

Consider this an open thread.

What if they said “Well thanks but we’re like the law the way we wrote it but don’t forget to write.”

    What could Holder do….?
When will somebody challenge him on his election tampering?

    *Pass out the ammo boys*
I say we find out what they “can do” about it.

If Governor Perry needs volunteers, I am an expert marksman on both the P-38 and an M-16.

Apparently had a law suit ready and waiting. Governor Perry and Greg Abbott are touch cookies and figured there would be problems from Holder since Democrats are causing so much trouble there anyway. If they have to go to the Supreme Court they will and won’t waste any time either.

to address the “non-fundraiser” Bill Maher event that was advertised on the Alabama Democratic Party website until they scrubbed it.

From yellow hammer (state bird) politics…here

MONTGOMERY ? The Alabama Federation of Republican Women will hold a news conference Thursday to publicly call on the Alabama Democratic Party to cancel their upcoming fundraiser with offensive TV personality Bill Maher. Elois Zeanah, President of the AFRW will speak as well as Valerie Askew, State Director of the Concerned Women for America. Other speakers include State Representative Becky Nordgren and Dr. Gina Loudon.

The Alabama Democrat Party has promoted an upcoming fundraising event featuring Maher scheduled for Saturday, March 17. The event features a ?Chairman?s Reception?, with tickets selling for $100 per head.

Even though Maher has drawn criticism for his hate-filled, misogynistic comments toward women, the Democratic Part has yet to cancel the event. Conservative women and members of the Alabama Federation of Republican Women from across the state will join together in demanding respect from the state Democrat party, insisting that they cancel the event immediately.

A list of the involved groups is below:

Alabama Federation of Republican Women, President Elois Zeanah (Speaker)
Concerned Women for America, State Director Valerie Askew (Speaker)

I summarized my discussion with the executive director of the AL Dem Party the other day here.

…let the press know and have some colorful costumes, signs, and an articulate spokesperson for interviews. Maybe even a giant pig.

in Huntsville. It won’t be canceled, but the AL Dem Party is obviously trying to distance itself somewhat since it scrubbed the ad from its site. I’ll pass your idea of the giant pig along. It would be terrific if somebody could at least get some pictures of them at the event. We need a Breitbart with a camera there.

The beauty of our press conference (and I say our because I’m a member of at least 3 of these groups) is that they are holding it in Montgomery on the front steps of the Alabama State House. I imagine it will be a little difficult for all those elected officials to ignore such a large group of motivated women.

I just noticed that the post above failed to give the time which is Thursday, March 15 at 10:00 a.m.

That is fantastic. I hope everything goes well.

You do know that this could put AL women back in the news on Rush’s show again, don’t you? I hope it does!!

In case you haven’t seen it, apparently a female Dem strategist was appalled…appalled, I tell you…that so many southern women could actually vote for Santorum. If you get a chance, check out the video for yourself.

since I have to work, but I do support these groups in other ways even though I can’t attend every event. It’s good to know we have a strong core of women trying to get others involved.

  • avagreen

I hope Maher gets a warm reception from outraged women in the county/district/town/state in which he will be speaking.

    Bah!
