OK, it would be great if we could turn back the clock, but the conditions that Reagan ran under though hardly ideal where far different than today. Carter and Mondale, however bad their politics were not Obama. Neither prided themselves on being an antagonist.

It is a different world we live in today. What we are seeing is straight out of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. And what I am seeing so far tells me somebody on Romney’s staff read the book.

We all need to read it. It defines who Barrack Obama is, and that defines what this election will be about.

For the record, I like the way Romney has handled the last two incidents, first with Mrs. Romney, and now the dog, The “Don’t bring a knife to a gun fight” theory. And someone has vetted Obama, even if the media hasn’t. They have ammo and this could make Obama vulnerable.

Rule number 1.Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.

People on Obama’s staff have to be asking themselves what else Romney is paying attention to, what other retort he has, what other attacks he can mount. Obama’s minions who will follow rule number 6 start shut up when they can envision themselves getting the “Hilary (Rosen) treatment”. And that is a winning strategy.

If you haven’t read Alinsky’s book get the summary (Beck has a good one) and understand it, It makes Obama’s campaign predictable. Obama has changed the establishment, and the establishment has changed the rules of the game. It will be hard to understand let alone win if you don’t know the “Rules”.

We don’t need another gentleman champion like McCain and the Romney’s appear to get that too.

Thank God Rick Santorum suspended his campaign and ended the primary process, so we can get on with the campaign against Obama with the GOP’s “annointed one” so stories like this can get out! You know because this is the most important election in this country’s history and all.

At a time long ago when wars or loomed constantly and there was much suffering presidents relied upon humor that packed a punch to stay sane. Their respnses also led by example. There are many examples that come to mind with Lincoln who was quite a story teller. Other presidents used humor to turn a storm into sunshine or powerful hope.

California wanted to enter the US as a free state. Some southern senators objected and one from Mississippi threatened secession.
Suddenly the new president got a life of his own over the conflict of what status would California have as a state free or slave. He gave his opinion.

Whenever I see something as contrived as this, I immediately become curious about what they are trying to distract voters from.. Any time we waste on things like this and the “war on women” (an apparently successful distraction campaign waged by the left in response to the HHS mandate) is time that we could be talking about things like the Senate deciding (again) to not vote on a budget. There’s even a very powerful picture that was taken of the budget committee where one side of the table is just empty chairs. The dems have disappeared from even having the discussion and that visual speaks volumes. This nonsense about dogs makes me feel like throwing up and shows how many people didn’t do their homework on Obama since it was in his book.
