Eric Cantor’s Cage Is Rattled so I’m Giving $100.00 to Scott Keadle.

The tea party is rattling Eric Cantor’s cage today. In response to this post this morning and the outcry from conservatives, Eric Cantor has decided to flood the zone in North Carolina to help congressional staffer Richard Hudson beat back local doctor Scott Keadle.

Today, Cantor’s Young Guns PAC threw $53,000.00 into the race for a media buy. See the 24 hour notice:

YG ACTION FUND – C00504761
View Download FEC-781387 Form F24N – filed 05/02/2012 – 24 HOUR NOTICE

Folks, Cantor must be scared. He’s gone after Scott Keadle and conservatives. We can’t let him outspend us here.

I just gave $100.00 to Scott Keadle to help him fight off Eric Cantor’s desperate attacks. Give what you can. If you’ve maxed out to Keadle, give to the Club for Growth or the Madison Project.

    Good Luck.

  • earlgrey

    is that too cliche???

This eats into my SCF contirbution though. Unless I can scare up some other $$.

  • fpete13527

I guess Cantor wants to make sure no donations will ever be sent to the NRCC other than to remove him.

    Go Scott Keadle

Richmond, Virginia can put up a much more solid conservative than Cantor.

  • sta46

granting me three wishes it would be to oust Cantor, Boehner and McConnell…Lamar wouldn’t be far behind.
Come on richmond Tea Party… make Cantor your number one target.

  • tdawg89

said that Cantor doesn’t have any control over what Young Guns PAC does. His former aides run the PAC. So they are indirectly connected, but what evidence is Cantor to blame?

  • http://www.erickerickson.org Erick Erickson

The PAC is run by Cantor’s former Chief of Staff, Cantor’s former top policy advisor, and Cantor’s former Press Secretary.

The PAC is named for the Young Guns program that Eric Cantor set up.

Do you really think Cantor is not involved?

  • barleycorn

who should never have been elected to Congress to begin with.

He has no ability or life accomplishment.

His daddy was pals with Tom Bliley and Boyd Marcus and that is the only reason he was ever elected to anything.

What I’m not sure on is Cantor’s motives.

    1. If it is the fact that he thinks the Conservative would lose to the Democrat in the General, then I think it is a case he is misreading the situation. So if this is the reason, he’s simply made an error in judgement.

    2. Else, he’s going after the Conservative because he is a lot more conservative than the incumbant, and Cantor can’t stand conservatives. If this is the case, than I think we should be looking at knocking out Cantor in the next Primary.

I don’t think I have enough information to decide which reason Cantor is supporting Incumbants though unless you know some more information.

Gave $10 to Keadle…hope it serves to show Cantor we won’t stand for his behavior!

Cantor’s PAC, ERICPAC, is giving heavily to Walter Jones in NC3. Jones is being primaried by Frank Palombo and he’s in trouble. Palombo is the real deal. He’s running on term limits and a very conservative platform.

Jones was on the Campaign for Primary Accountability’s hit list. CPA is the PAC that to which Cantor donated and for which he came under fire. To make up for this ‘error’, Cantor has given $10k to Walter Jones and publicly endorsed him. It’s bizarre that Cantor would support one of the most anti-Israel Republicans in the House. On top of that, Jones is ranked as one of the most liberal Republicans in the House by Heritage, ACU, Club for Growth, NTU and every other conservative group. I’m donating to Palombo today http://sendfranktocongress.com

  • daveevad

chief of staff is too liberal?

  • dudette

Will check out Palombo. What the heck is wrong with Cantor???

  • rowanconservative

John Whitley is a better candidate in this race. Whitley is polling 2nd behind Hudson, Keadle is no better than 4th. Keadle has been unprepared in debates and he seems to get so emotional about issues that he loses his train of thought. Whitley is an unflappable conservative who has the confidence and emotional stability to face Kissell and defeat him.

Cantor, Boehner, and McConnell have hurt the Republicans so badly over their inability to do ANYTHING to block the impending bankruptcy of our country and shrink government that unless leaders rise up to oust them then we are doomed.

“Young Guns aiming for Richard Mourdock, but hitting Eric Cantor”
The Young Guns Network, and its YG Action Fund, were started by two former aides to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

If you don’t like the people who post articles or participate here there are other places you can go. If your present conduct is any indicator of who you are as a person, you’ll be missed about as much as an impacted colon.

  • Repair_Man_Jack

Do you have any information to back up your overall obnoxiousness?

  • major

But this does not mean I support that candidate.

  • cactusbob

These 3 have been on my “Replace” list for some time. They are what is wrong with the Republican Party today, and they have corrupted many of our freshmen representatives. They definitely NEED TO GO!

  • Seedyrom

called the shots. They’ve killed a few bills but shared control with a split house & senate has its disadvantages. If Obama wins, odds are the GOP will control the senate and retain the house. They will call the shots and cram bills down Obama’s throat like a sugar coated Satan sandwich. Though I would like to see McConnell and Cantor gone but leaders are harder to vote out of office.

So two weeks before the primary, after intense pressure from the House leadership over his donations to CPA which targeted Jones, Cantor, who is Jewish and a strong supporter of Israel, came to the inevitable conclusion, based on Walter’s 12 Reasons emails, that anti-Israel liberally rated Walter Jones really is a good conservative and deserved his support. Don’t think so.

  • bs61

every one that I ever donate to, loses! I’m thinking this time, if I don’t donate, he’ll win…

On May 4th, George Will wrote about the so-called “People’s Rights Amendment”. This proposed Constitutional amendment would eviscerate, among others, rights of free speech. (National Review Online and Eugene Volokh and Ilya Somin of the Volokh Conspiracy have all discussed its dangers at some length.) Will notes that the proposal has an array of Democratic co-sponsors and one Republican co-sponsor.

So, my curiosity was piqued. What Republican could be so Constitutionally illiterate that he would sponsor this amendment? And our winner is …. Walter B. Jones (R-NC).

Jones has a primary opponent, Frank Palombo. Palombo’s website says he supports Second Amendment rights. I suspect that means he will also respect the First Amendment. And that is a huge reason for supporting Palombo in NC-3.
