EDITOR OF REDSTATE

A Terrible, No Good, Awful Night for Barack Obama

One initial point to ponder: if the No-H8 campaign tries to fire up in North Carolina as the No-A1 campaign, people will wonder why they are campaigning against steak sauce. Probably won’t happen. North Carolina did not pass a ban on gay marriage as the media reports. Rather they refused to allow their definition of marriage to be changed. The marriage definition was put into law years ago, but with an onslaught of judicial activists, the voters in North Carolina decided to shut down any further consideration of the issue.

The most fascinating bit of it all is that time and time again gay marriage polls quite well in the United States. Time and time again, gay marriage proponents go down to defeat at the actual polls. Said one gay marriage proponent on Twitter last night to me, “It will be a happy day when all hate filled Xians are dead.” Xians is “Christians” in Twitter speak. At first I thought it was a Xenu or Thetans reference.

This was a bad night for Barack Obama. Whoever decided to put the Democratic National Convention in North Carolina should be given a lollipop by the GOP for the intense level of comedic schadenfreude we can all now watch. The Democrats will convene in a proudly right to work state whose state Democratic Party is imploding due to a gay sexual harassment scandal, the state itself just voted for marriage by a margin few statewide candidates in North Carolina get, and twenty percent of Democrats voted against Barack Obama in the North Carolina Democratic Primary.

On the bright side, North Carolina is not West Virginia where a felon in federal prison in Texas locked up 40% of the vote in the Democratic Primary against Barack Obama. The Chain Gang looks to be as popular as the Change Gang.

In Indiana, Rickard Mourdock beat Richard Lugar. Lugar is Barack Obama’s favorite Republican Senator. The Washington, DC Gang of 500 — the political reporters who set the tone for political coverage in America — are still crying in their beer as the sun rises that Indiana’s statewide elected Treasurer beat a Republican incumbent who has never been a threat to the liberal agenda the Gang of 500 agrees with.

The truth is that as much as tea party energy gave Richard Mourdock a surge and a platform, two-thirds of Indiana’s county Republican chairmen and a majority of the Indiana GOP State Committee encouraged Mourdock to run. Lugar did not lose for defying the tea party. He lost because he lost touch with Indiana.

In West Virginia, a felon in a federal prison in Texas gave Barack Obama a run for his money in the Democratic Primary for President. Seriously! The felon got about 40% of the vote. Joe Manchin, West Virginia’s Democratic Senator would not even tell reporters who he voted for in the primary.

Then there’s Wisconsin.

In Wisconsin, more Republicans turned out than Democrats for the Democrats’ contested primary. The Democrat who won the right to challenge Scott Walker in the recall was, only a month ago, savaged by the unions and has already spoken up in favor of tax increases.

But if that’s not enough, then there’s Europe. Yes folks, Europe.

The Greeks have handed 37 year old Alexi Tsipras the right to form a government. He is a radical leftist who wants to abandon the Greek bailout, nationalize the banks, restore all salaries and pensions, and restore collective bargaining.

In France, Hollande the socialist won. He wants to renegotiate the austerity measures Europe has never really even implemented.

All this means European economic turmoil could be about to rear its ugly head, also plunging the United States further into the economic morass. That will only hurt Barack Obama.

Friends, put bluntly, there is a lot of hype and posturing out there in the media on Barack Obama’s behalf. The Gang of 500 is friendly toward him. There are better relations there than with Team Romney. They are more likely to buy into the Obama spin. But spin it is. The reality is the nation, heck even a lot of Democrats, are rejecting Barack Obama.

Can NC bottle up some of that A1 sauce for other “battleground” states this November? I’ve been reading a lot of liberal posts about wanting to get out of NC now that NC has “banned gay marriage.” Perhaps we can do that in other states and drive out the libs and do a reverse of the Dems “Colorado” strategy.

Even Mitt Romney is starting to speak very conservatively these days…and surprise surprise, the country is following the conservative leadership.

  • Ausonius

    Overconfidence is its own enemy.

Romney’s skills are not on the same level: not bad, but he needs to be as “authentic” as possible. People are not completely stupid yet in this country, although it seems like it at times: if his campaign tells him to do things like roll up his sleeves and go bowling and shake hands with the crowd, get ready for 4 more years of BIG BRObama.

Stick with the phony you know who makes you feel good about not being a racist.

    Plus…

I can still envision all sorts of things causing a MAObama victory: massive agit-prop campaign funded by Soros to tell us that things are getting better, that the EEE-VIL RICH want Romney to be president to take away your bank accounts, throw the old ladies out of the old ladies’ home, and close down the orphanages.

Soros and his 70 Millionaires and Billionaires could possibly manipulate markets temporarily to drive down oil prices in October and make the stock market rise.

I hope you are right about this being the summer of 1979 again: but I sense too much idiocy right now, too many people on the dole, all willing to drink the Dem’s Kool-aid again. The uninvolved may open their eyes and swing things our way, but Romney needs to go beyond hinmself and attain greater credibility than he has right now among them to get them into the voting booth.

Where are all of Redstate’s pro-’gay’ marriage conservatives denouncing this trash?

as far as the poll point, just goes to show that there are lies, danged lies and polls. The. media. has. an. agenda. They will stop at NOTHING to promulgate it.

  • renl57

…that the Dem National Convention include a pro-gay marriage plank in their party platform. That should be interesting to watch on TV.

In any event, I don’t see how the Dem National Convention will be able to ignore the fact that it’s taking place in a state that just voted against gay marriage overwhelmingly.

And any statements or actions the Dems are likely to make will likely push North Carolina into Romney’s column this year.

  • circlegranch

Of course, they are the enemy of conservatism, and have in their crosshairs anyone trying to protect American traditions and values. The media controls what we hear and how often we hear the same drumbeats that promote their agenda. Every news outlet pounded away about Charles Barkley’s now famous comment that Romney would be defeated, but not one major news source carries the story running now at Front Porch Politics about strange occurrences going on after Andrew Breitbart’s death. The media doesn’t cover Van Jones’ speeches or the infiltration of members of the Muslim Bros. into our govt. They aren’t talking about Nazi’s now holding elected positions in Greece.

‘Hope’ has evolved into ‘Nope’. Obama may have adopted “Forward” to carry him across the finish line in first place in Nov, but his staunch re-elect team, the Gang of 500, are going to run on ‘Nope’. Nope, the voting public doesn’t need to know what we decide could hurt our candidate. Nope, won’t happen. The media won’t pounce on this Admin for just recently saying the war on terror is over, yet out of the other side of its mouth is quick to tout the CIA’s take-down of another terror plot regarding air travel. The ‘war on terror is over’ is no comfort to the families of fallen service members that have lost their lives in Afghanistan since that ridiculous comment was uttered. Nope, the media simply won’t talk about anything that shines the light of truth on their candidate.

  • PowerToThePeople

the party of “tolerance, peace, love, and all the other nonsense” shows their true colors.

If any of them feel so inclined to be froggy and carry out their death threats, I will be more than happy to provide my address so they can come attempt to make their bones.

Shutting down Idiots on a keyboard, should be our next amendment.

  • josephine

One thing we can rest easy on is Mitt Romney does not hold Hitler and his tactics up for adoration. We, the American people, can move Romney closer and closer to true conservatism. The man is a very good man with real intentions to improve our lives by taking our country back from these hideous criminals.

  • zachv

The majority of the pro-gay marriage Redstaters are Christians you dip.

  • circlegranch

in the Centennial State died this week. This follows a Slut Walk in Colorado Springs over the weekend where cross-dresser’s joined women that have a statement to make about their rights while wearing underwear in parades.

The Left, aided by the Gang of 500, is absolutely certain that a majority of Americans are on board for same sex unions. Some polls are showing the country about evenly split. Rachel Maddow is sure her community has the momentum and once the evil Christians are defeated (or worse), they’ll have smooth sailing toward the passing of legislation that allows an anything goes society. The decision last night in NC so frustrated Ms Maddow during her MSNBC program that she ‘leaned forward’ with red-faced anger at Hoosier voters, declaring an early victory for the Democrat that will challenge Mourdock.

Americans that aren’t asleep at the switch have observed what happens to societies that have tried this social experiment and have found it fails. Liberals want privacy in their bedrooms, but with a few caveats: taxpayers must pay for their birth control and they want state and federal govts to pass legislation and amend constitutions that grant them an ‘anything goes’ lifestyle’–with a hefty dose of redistribution of wealth and confiscation of taxpayer’s money to fund it all.

  • zachv

… and the Republican House leadership killed it.

  • PowerToThePeople

what is typed prior to speaking or do you have some disability that prevents you from comprehending simple English?

I am going to guess you are just a loud mouth who runs to talk.

Maybe, just maybe, if you had read his post, you would understand his point is that the hate filled rhetoric calling for the death of Christians should have brought the pro gay marriage conservatives out of the woodwork all while they denounced the hate and threats.

It has nothing to do with who is Christian or who is not “dip.” I now fully understand why the Heinz rule was applied to you.

  • avgjo

Too bad you had to resort to name calling. While i don’t particularly care what you call me, I was starting to respect you after our last discussion. You handled that in an intellectually honest and mature fashion. And now this. How disappointing.

But hey, thanks for illustrating what I mean when I talk about the ‘gay’ radicalism.. It is intolerant and wants nothing less than full affirmation and no criticism.. No offense, but ‘gay’ activists are their own worst enemies and do more damage to their own image than any ‘dips’ like me.

  • zachv

Did it just going literally flying over your understanding that I’m just as offended by the tweet as avgjo is? He claimed that the pro-gay marriage RedStaters were hypocrites for not denouncing a random tweet last night, and the very first post I make is to distance not just myself but everyone on RedState away from that hate-filled comment.

My gosh. You don’t even have two brains cells to rub together to make an intelligent spark.

  • zachv

    n/t

  • avgjo

I didn’t claim they were hypocrites. It is funny though, while I see actively vociferous reactions from many pro-’gay’ marriage proponents here whenever someone criticizes homosexual behavior or speaks against homosexual marriage, I rarely see any active criticism by those same folks of trash like that quoted by Mr. Erickson. Oh sure, after someone says something, they’ll denounce it, but it’s rare that they go out of their way without prompting from someone else to do so. And while I applaud you for your own denunciation, I have to tell you I remember far more denunciation of traditionalists like me from you than of people like those on Twitter.

  • avgjo

first off, I didn’t make the assertion you claim I did. All I did was point out that the same folks who invariably dog-pile those who make strong comments against ‘gay’ marriage here are not as visible when this happens. I stand by that.

  • Bill S

Get off your high horse, pal. He provided a quote. There was nothing, NOTHING in that quote that said you were anti-Christian. It did, however, ask why none of the homosexual marriage backers seemed upset by the radical responses of their co-supporters. And you can click the link that I provided for just a taste of more of the same. It wasn’t a “random tweet”…it was indicative of the response of a large swath of Leftists.

  • JSobieski

People can surprise you, make you angry, etc.

    Never take offense to anything.

One emotion never ascribed to Jesus in the NT was the emotion of taking offense.

  • zachv

.. and I’m upset that you believe I and other Red Staters wouldn’t denounce anti-Christian attacks.

  • JSobieski

I am skeptical. Particularly if you factor in intensity, active involvement, etc.

  • izoneguy
  • streiff

anything that draws that response can’t be all bad

  • streiff

hard to see how you reconcile one with the other

  • avgjo

However, (and it’s a big HOWEVER) I stand by my earlier point: the people I refer to are far more vociferous against opponents of ‘gay’ marriage than against the true hatemongers like those Bill S linked to. And I bet if I could read all your comments in the last 24 hours, there’s far more stuff like you lobbed against me than denunciations of these anti-Christians.Prove me wrong.

From the WV State Journal http://www.statejournal.com/story/18229495/romney-wins-presidential-nomination

    Obama – 102,028 votes
    Romney – 72,818 votes
    Judd – 69,799 votes

If it’s fair to say Obama lost 40% of the vote to an inmate, then it’s equally fair to say Romney got only ~4% more votes than an inmate.

way too much ammunition to destroy Obama on without resorting to, condoning, or ignoring racist rants. This site has demanded a level of decorum when discussing Obama and has never allowed racist or conspiracy rants to be leveled against Obama.

And I agree with the article, Erick. Last night did NOT look good for him. And I was following twitter and saw the comments levied your way. While it comes with the territory, some people should know when to set phone down or step away from the keyboard. Same type and style of commentary leveled at Brendan Shanahan for his suspension decisions leveled during the playoffs this year, and in both situations, the people leveling the comments really need to grow up and learn how to act civilly within society.

on the line. Let it all hang out, an A for openess and honesty. At least this particular savage is in his twisted way honest, expressing an intent that most struggle to suppress, & in more than gay issues.
The Great Tormented among us crave to live in a totally monolithic, single voice society. After 8 years of blather and posturing during the Bush years on the value and virtue of dissent the turn around in principle points to an instability and viciousness that mocks the pose of “progressivism”.
Our gay marriage fan might look abroad, context and comparison have a way of softening the passions. He could be getting stoned to death by followers of the religion of peace, a term I first came across in the NYT’s, shortly after the death of 3,000 Americans.

  • rabun1016

It’s really not “equally fair” to say that at all, since that would be deceptive. Obama was running against Judd. Romney had no part in the race. Romney beat his opponent by 60,000. Democrats closed their primary so there is no measure of equivalency. But David Axelrod appreciates your attempt to diminish the GOP nominee.

your comment. I misunderstood. Again, apologies.

  • avgjo

There is such a thing, to be sure. Your ‘every man for himself’ attitude is a big part of the problem in this country. Families not taking responsibility for their own poor, communities not helping out their neighbors has contributed greatly to the welfare state. I could go on. But i digress.

i was making the point (and at this point I am referring to a general class of people, not specific people here, in accordance with the rules here) that many people who are supposed to be conservative and denounce ‘hatred’, ‘bigotry’ and so on have little or nothing to say when it comes to the sort of hatred and bigotry referred to by Mr. Erickson and Bill S.

  • JSobieski

Who started all of this anyway? Its not like people woke up one day and started enacting constitutional amendments on this issue without any cause or provocation.

Whatever one thinks about gay marriage, the annoying way courts re-write laws against the public will is an infringement against self-government.

What a shame that those of us who own investment property in North Carolina and who vacation on the beaches of Cor-ahh-la and Duck will no longer have to worry about our children seeing displays like those in Dewey, Rehobeth and other resorts that “encourage tolerance.”

Why “tolerance” always seems to mean “we’re going to demonstrate our sensuality in public and you’re going to tolerate it, ” I do not understand.

Call me any name you wish. I will continue to vacation and invest in places where people demonstrate self-control. Tolerate that.

Both parties in West Virginia allow only registered party members and independents to vote in their respective primaries. The Democrats who are on the ABO-OMG (anybody but Obama–Obama must go) bandwagon could only register their vote yesterday by either undervoting the presidential race or casting a protest vote for the convict–and over 40% voted for the convict. Republican primaries in West Virginia historically have very low turnout because of the low number of contested primaries and irrelevance of the state in the presidential nomination process. This was a huge shot across the bow, which is the headline story on el Rushbo’s show today.

World Affairs:The entire year leading up to the election of 1980 had the nightly news with an embarassment to the United States that the administration tried and failed to do something about. I’d argue that it was publicly viewed as the worst foreign affairs failure in the history of the country (Yes, beyond withdrawl from Vietnam The closest equivalent I can think of is if Bush’s reaction to 9/11 had been negotiating with the Afghani government to extradite OBL.

In passing the amendment, many conservatives and African-Americans set political differences aside to vote along spiritual lines. Conservative Christians believe homosexuality is a sin and that traditional marriage between a man and a woman is ordained by God as a cornerstone of life.

In Charlotte-Mecklenburg, the strongest support came from the predominantly white suburban areas of Mint Hill and Matthews. Across town, voters in the African-American neighborhoods of Coulwood and Paw Creek voted almost 2 to 1 in favor. The margin was the same in predominantly black precinct 79 near Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

While the NAACP campaigned hard against the amendment, many black voters continued to see same-sex marriage not as a civil rights issue, but as a lifestyle choice with which they don?t agree.

Same kind of reports coming out of other newspapers across the state as well. Notice the comments about how the black community responded? In my state of NC, that could spell for trouble, even big trouble. The people in the black community who voted based on what they believed to be right crossed that “solidarity” line, and they may very well see some backlash for doing it too.

I’d like to know how many WV Democrats voted yesterday (or taking the highest sum of votes in any of the other offices). If the total number of Democrats who cast votes is more than 205,000 (which would mean an undervote of about 34,000) then Obama got less than half of those who voted…

  • naraht

The best analysis I’ve seen is the following. Let’s reduce North Carolina to 40 voters all of whom support one party or another. 30 Whites and 10 Blacks. Of the Whites 60% are Republican and of the Blacks, 20% are Republican. This leads to an evenly split state. Both Races vote 70% against Gay Marriage. That’s all of the Republicans plus 3 white Democrats and 5 Black Democrats. While white and Black support opposition/support of Gay Marriage is the same, it looks to the Democrats as if the Blacks stabbed them in the back since they represent the Majority of the Opposition.

  • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens

  • xymbaline

First the best thing about Romney is that he’s not Obama.

Then, the best thing is that he’s not a Communist.

Now, we’re to rejoice because he’s not Hitler.

His campaign staff has already indicated that he’ll ‘tack left’ as the general approaches.

The more ‘conservative’ he acts, the more his popularity grows. So naturally, the GOP strategy is to become less conservative after the convention.

  • lineholder

Opponents to Amendment 1 had an opportunity to sway public opinion on this IF they had succeeded in framing their argument in the context of being a civil rights issue alone. In NC, civil rights issue span across racial boundaries here.

But because of this state history as it pertains to issues of race, particularly the Triad area, which is where I live, those who are black who voted in support of Amendment 1…yes, they will be categorized as ‘traitors to the cause”. The civil rights cause, you see.

So it does hold true about possible backlash, but it doesn’t hold true about the “majority of the opposition”.

I get tweets from lots of lefties. One of my favorites is Markos Moulitsas over at the Kos.

He’s always talking poll numbers and how Americans clearly support gay marriage (along with every other cause he supports)

Then, almost invariably, as we saw yesterday in NC, and as we’ve seen in most states that put some form of ban or restriction on the ballot, all these folks who support gay marriage turn out and vote against it.

    Its the damnedest thing…

Also, North carolina is not a swing state. Most conservatives already knew that but most of the media still hasn’t figured it out.

that said i hope team obama continue to think its in play and spend gobs and gobs of money there. :)

The victory of Socialist Francois Hollande , similar to US Democrats, shows that deficit spending is alive and well in France as talk of austerity, reducing debt and reform institutions is a threat to a large part of French society.

His platform was to borrow more money and hire 60,000 teachers, He would raise taxes up to 75% and allow some foreigners to vote locally. He would lower retire age from 62 to 60. Hollande also plans to balance budget by 2017.

IMF has expanded its borrowing pools of firewalls so France may get a new loan.

But, he says to jump the stalled French economy and reduce the three million unemployment he must infuse a stimulus of 60 bn euro. Hollande received an invitation to White House..Democrats admire him for his economic stimulus platform. They plan to grow US deficit and debt too. Hollande Pelosi, Obama, Reid are soul mates.

There is much anti incumbent, centrist , eurozone and anti EU voter dissatisfaction from right and left. Le Pen got 18% and may pick up seats in French Parliament She would exit eurozone just as some pols in Greece would.

No one knows where this unsettled electorate will land but as long as governments can cut a deal and borrow defcit spending reigns and foreign technocrats control eurozone politics.

No one in Europe or eurozone is doing much to jump freemarket economies and lower taxes to boost growth. Economies will continue to contract. Hollande’s infusions (investments) into public sector is not a permannent or lasting jump at all.

But how many more borrowing pools can IMF create in the name of ‘growth’?

The challenges already facing the Democrat’s Convention in NC are well documented (and fairly hysterical) but now, to protest the NC vote “against marriage equality,” folks want to move the convention out of that state to a friendlier place.

So…they can re-nominate their anti-marriage equality president. Got it.

Europe has lost much of its manufacturing base and masks that loss of productivity and revenues with defixit spending for entitlements. France specifically had an election which ousted the unpopular eurozone king maker and nationbailer, incumbent President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy.

Unemployment hung at 10-14% and that overshadowed everything else to voters.France’s credit was downgraded from triple A under Sarkozy. He even failed at that. .

Sarkozy did pay down debt, he would do a ‘buy European’, cut legal immigration by half and do somethng about illegals. His center right party was strongest centrist for a free market economic recovery.
Hollande’s plan for borrowing for a stimulus to hire 60,000 and raise taxes won the day.

Hollande will renegotiate austerity meaning not pay back what he owes before he borrows more–or not cut spending. Merkel in Germany has some problems with the 17 member eurozone members who do not follow budget guidelines. She spoke of putting Greece into a protectorate over its debt! She is repulsive.

Her support in parliament is eroding as SPD, like Democrats and Greens like US Greens may pick up seats.

Compared to European economies US has a strong credit and can withstand setbacks on debt and borrowing if leaders want to continue borrowing. All they do is raise debt ceiling as they do on a regular basis.
Conservatives see a red flag over defict spending, librerals do not.

.But we see the same trends–contracting economies, low growth and loss of revenues throughout Eurozone, EU and US.

Instead of an all out focus on freemarket olytions with lower taxes to jump economies governments borrow and invest in public sector in Europe and US.

There is a deception in this spending— that is a Deal with the devil or as Buchanan says in HumanEvents–a Faustian deal on deficit spending in exchange for turning over sovereignty or self government decisions for a big loan.

Deficit spending is the tool of tyrants look at cronyism in US and who gets goodies they do not pay for anymore than does O.

Get debt under control, do not raise debt ceiling and live within our means is one way to keep our precious freedoms. When we elect tea party constitutional conservatives we are electing those who will preserve our economic integrity to produce wealth. We can go no where without that freemarket capacity as our foundation.

Given what Germany’s role has been so far, do you think they’ll go hard and heavy in the direction of protectionism? Or does the EU as a whole have the power to prevent it?

Germany’s one of the few nations in that group that has been holding their own, economically.

Win win perhaps? Rally more people in the long term towards gay marriage, but blowback for the One in November?

    I could go for that.

    Four years less of Obama.

    Definitely.

My favorite way of annoying leftist Obama supporters was to point out that Dick Cheney was to the left of Obama on this issue.

This guy that said he wold be glad when all Christians were dead, am i mistaken isn’t that hate speech. I don’t get it. I am a Christian and I don’t wish all gay people dead. I really don’t understand that because i have many gay friends that are very good Christians. I am not their judge nor they mine only Jesus Christ has that right. As a matter of fact the only objection i have is gay marriage. By disallowing gay marriage i am not being judgmental about them but practical. The standard for thousands of Centuries has been one man and one woman to be married. Only the Mormons for a short period and the Middle east and tribal counties have deviated from that. The other objections I have will hve to wait until the after life to see if i am right. I see no need for gay marriage. It only complicates an already complicated world. The only reason they want marriage is so they can be put on the benefits of the partner. The simple solution is ofr insurance companies to recognize whomever you want to list as a depend partner whether that is yur wife, husband or partner. If this had been done back in the1970′s none of this would be an issue now. The problem now is that it has escalated far beyond the benefits issue.

Globalism is a blight upon Europe as it is in US and they have lost much manufacturing to imports as have we. Trade is the binding issue that holds together EU. Eurosone is 17 members who share a common currency, euro. Not all EU member nations are part of eurozone and keep their national currency.

Germany is strongest economy in Europe with high credit and dominates with France eurozone of 17 nations. There have been tensions on debt and bailouts for a year or more among debt ridden Greece and Spain in zone. .

Germany can not set its own independent trade policy as far as I know. .Germany is a member European Union and eurozone common currency. Headquarters for EU is in Brussels where bureacrats shift through piles of treaties among members including some court issues. Its nightmare of regulations.

Chancellor Merkel still tries to revive a ‘super state’ of Europe that was killed when France voted NO in 2006. That new state would cede more sovereign power to a central power including more courts and economic decisions that regulate taxes and wages. UK like France opposes super state but UK has never voted on super state.

Germany may change leadership if Merkel’s party and coalition continue to falter and be replaced by SPD and Greens who might be more friendly to protecting German goods. But there are limits what a EU member can do with trade policy outside EU.

or probably fraudulent vote-counting by Soros-funded computers located in Spain … or built in Spain … Anyway, if Minnesota’s Senator race and Washington State’s Governor race didn’t convince folks that picture i.d. and stricter voting and registration regulations and provable tallying methods are in order, just watch the mischief that goes on this time.

You have to admire the Democrats’ ability to Think and Plan Forward!

In 2000 they already had the big, black boxes waiting to be installed in all polling places, replacing the perfectly utile punch card ballots. The solution was waiting for the problem to unfold, or hang there. And those of the Stupid Party were right with them, urging a quick change to a more equitable voting method. That makes the charge that we have Just One Party not so wild-eyed.

Oh, and the Touch Screen ballot, preferred by many of the tech savvy voters, still has no paper trail; no way to know if votes are being tallied correctly and honestly. There’s a fixable glitch that has been deliberately left uncorrected.

Dem Fraud at the voting box is a constant: but also keep in mind a phony Potemkin-recovery of the economy at the end of the summer, a promise that the $5 trillion tax hike will not occur (except it will), an attack on Iran or some place else (Yemen? Somalia?), stimulus checks to the electorate, boycotts by unions and other groups to force people to vote Dem, and those are just quickly off the top of my slowly balding cranium.

our moral compass in order to drive us into the abyss. And, I for one, applaud Indiana and North Caroline for standing up and saying “enough is enough”! I just encourage every other State to do the same. Let’s take back our Country and if we have to go back to the 1950′s to recapture our moral compass then so be it. And, all I can say to Nevada–is aren’t you so proud of re-electing that ‘squeaky’ mouse. Bravo circlegranch. Well said!!
