    Breitbart for having the guts to run with this story. They knew that it would stir up the “birthers” and the way they wrote their story was perfect.

    They correctly pointed out that this pamphlet is in no way proof that Obama is not a citizen of the US. What it is proof of is how Obama changes his personal history to fit the moment. Whatever persona he and his cronies wants to create about Obama, they do. This is the point of this story, and it is very damaging to Obama and his administration.

    I had a feeling that Breitbart had more damaging information on Obama and that they would slowly release it leading up to the election. They are making the old media look like the incomptent, partisan hacks that they are. Three cheers for the New Media! They may just ressurect journalism from the dead.

    The Bush administration went to court to prevent disclosure of who Chaney met with when developing an energy and environmental policy. Have you seen Bush’s Birth certificate. His college grades were released wrongly ( without his consent).

    The reason you haven’t seen Bush’s birth certificate or that his college grades were not widely released was because no one thought either item was necessary. However, for President Obama the fact that he ate. Dog meat as a seven year old apparently reflects on him today

    But you need to read the Breitbart article for yourself. It is NOT an advocation of birtherism. The point is that Obama will often change his persona and “fudge the facts”, if you will to do so.

    The assumption is that the “born in Kenya” bit on the pamphlet was fiction to sell books or to appeal to a voting block.

    Quite frankly, I am a hell of a lot less concerned with where they went to school or their grades while in school than I am with their record of policy. A person can be a drinking loudmouth in college, a sometime taker of illicit drugs, and so on and yet still become a man or woman of great integrity and conservatism. Colson comes to mind as an example.

    On the flip side of the coin, one can be a very quiet person in college with outstanding grades and a clean moral record and turn out to be a liberal POS as an adult. Bill Clinton comes to mind.

    That is the real story. This agent bio does not prove or disprove he was born anywhere but Hawaii (it raises a question but that is about it). But I suspect Barack Obama in 1991 was more about promoting a book than running for president and if being born in Kenya helped promote that…(especially if his school applications said the same thing). You are trying to twist the 2000 release of his grades by the newspaper without his consent and the eventual release of all pertinent items by Bush once elected. The long form birth certificate was made viewable by the public in January of 2000 and was listed on the website for over 2 years.

    One can say there is no requirement for a president to release these items and I would not argue. I could care less about Obama’s items as it will not do a thing to get him out of office (we will take care of that in a few months, but lets not try to BS in our argument just to make some point that is nonexistent.

    1) Most people who hire agencies to represent them or work on their behalf, have to sign off on everything, which is part of their mutual contract. So, I’d like to know if there was a sign-off by Obama on his bio back in ’91? Fat chance we’d ever get to see it if there was one.

    2) How did something like this escape the Clinton machine in 2008? Did they get sloppy assuming Hillary would win, and didn’t fully vet Obama, or had the train already left the station?

    I did some extensive research on Obama while he was running. I didn’t get into the photoshop thing…and while I must admit that there have been several different versions of his BC out there that contradict facts at the time….Obama, because he was adopted, relinquished his citizenship when he moved to Indonesia. The Indonesian government website…before it was changed, clearly pointed out that if you were not of Indonesian descent you were only allowed to stay in the country for three weeks. However, if the husband brought his wife into the country, they must be married and the wife must adopt the religion of the husband, i.e., Islam. This was also a requirement of any children. In the case of Obama, he had to be adopted and YES…his religion was officially registered in Indonesia as Muslim because he and his mother were allowed to stay in country without following government regulations.

    I know that Obama’s school records when he attended public school show that his religion was Islam. Now…both wife and child must renounce their country of birth and become an Indonesian citizen. So, while Obama was not a dual citizen in Indonesia…he, when he returned to the USA, if naturalized, would be considered a dual citizen. If Granny did not have that done…well…I guess that means he’s Illegal.

    The US does not recognize Indonesian law on the matter.

    Relinquishing your US citizenship is a formal process, with formal government requirements.

    Minor children, as a rule, are not allowed to do it.

    Also, his mother held a job at the US Embassy at the time.

    He wasn’t an Indonesian citizen – never was old enough to become one while he was there.

    His father was, and that was ‘enough’ to avoid questions – it might have caused issues for him under Indonesian law if he stayed there long enough – but because he was out by age 10, it had no impact…

    When Obama was born the Kapi’olani Medical Center did not yet exist. The Kapi’olani organization has existed for 100 years, but, when he was born, it was called the Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital and was located on a different street. The Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children was built at it’s present location and renamed in 1978. So this hospital cannot be the place of his birth, as claimed in the letter, because it didn’t yet exist.

    In 1964 Lyndon Johnson alleged via TV commercial that Barry Goldwater would start world war III(by setting off a nuclear bomb in a little girls eye). In 1988 G H W Bush alleged Michael Dukakis would release hordes of black men from prison to kill us and rape our women. But Dukakis’s own publicity stunt (tank) was the image that did the most damage. Already in this election Mitt Romney is being attacked for actually firing people in the course of running a business and being a high school bully on at least one occasion (and the assumption that he must be lying about not remembering the incident.)

    I think the headline should be “We’re all birther’s now.” And the image of the campaign should be the fresh faced Obama advertising his never written book and being born in Kenya. Instead the headline is “no he wasn’t born in Kenya.”

    There is little doubt the documents are forgeries, and a conclusive, persuasive case was made by the Arizona team of law enforcement investigators.

    Whether that means he wasn’t born in Hawaii is speculation.

    This is the very reason I would’ve liked to see Newt on top. Newt understands and isn’t afraid to take on the Axelrod machine that is in full force. Obama and his minions will do anything, and I mean anything to win reelection.     They were simply repeating what the Supreme Court had settled long ago Minor v. Happersett (1875) . Defining a “Natural Born Citizen” as a child born in the US of Citizen parents.

    So, the whole issue is completely resolved and should simply die.

    We all know that Obama has opened up has records too, and both Obama’s parents were US Citizens. We know it, the US Congress knows it, Snopes knows it, INS knows it. Kenya knows it.

    and the vast majority of people forget that. It was well discussed in Congress and put to rest. We weren’t allowed to discuss Obama’s situation.

    …but you make some errors. McCain was not born in Panama, he was born in the Canal Zone, which by treaty was US territory, such as Guantanamo still is. The McCain ruling, following existing law, is that if a person is born abroad because his parents are on a military or diplomatic posting it’s considered as if they were still in the US.

    If someone was born abroad because their parents were out of the US on their own accord, then that child is a citizen if their parents are. Maybe it was a typo when you wrote “both Obama?s parents were US Citizens.” becaus obviously Obama’s father was not a US citizen – he was a Kenyan studying n the US. The law existing at that time stated the mother could confer birthright citizenship on her own if she had lived in the US for a minimum amount of time after becoming an adult (18). Obama’s mother did not satisfy this requirement, so failing both these test Obama had to be born in the US to be a citizen at birth.

    Has nothing to do with a cult, rather cold hard facts and analysis that should be discussed rationally.

    That is exactly what it required. Any child…no matter what the age was required under the law, be it by the wish of his father…which is also required…the become an Indonesian citizen. This is what I read personally off of their web site. No…I did not misinterpret it…that was their requirements at the time. Furthermore…the religion of the father must be adopted to attend public school…which Obama did and that record is still present on the web. Also…as I have stated…a person, even a child, is limited to the amount of time spent in Indonesia unless those rules are followed.

    So…at least Indonesia keeps track of its citizens…with your concept…no wonder pregnant women are running over into the USA…their children automatically become US citizens…whalla..some of our debt crisis.

    of this? He’s giving this information on his bio, but you are still certain. If he came out and said it to you in person, you would still be sure he wasn’t. This is so disappointing that so many people on our side have a knee-jerk reaction and jump on it to defure it when more and more information comes out about this charlatan. And I deeply resent that I and people like me who dare question these facts are called “birthers” and a cult. Cut it out now before Obama takes this country to total ruin.

    Unless Barry (since that was the name he went by back then) went to the US Embassy and filed a formal renunciation of citizenship in front of the appropriate State Department official – and unless he was 18 at the time he did it…

    He did not, in the eyes of the United States, renounce his citizenship.

    No matter what he said to the Indonesians.

    The key there, is ’18′. According to US law at the time, a minor child is – in almost every case – not allowed to renounce citizenship. And as that’s OUR law, that’s what matters… Not their law.

    Similarly, one can ‘adopt’ any religion on paper, but it’s pretty clear that Obama’s true religion is Secular Humanism (like any good Marxist), and his only deity is himself.

    He provided a Hawaii birth certificate that is a forgery. He claimed to be born in Kenya from 1991 to 2007. Yet he was a citizen at birth regardless of where he was born, which would make him a natural-born citizen eligible for office.

    Erick may have hit upon it; we have some Elizabeth Warren-style lying here about one’s heritage. He lied about being born in Kenya. But why wouldn’t he just provide the actual birth certificate from Hawaii instead of that hatchet job PDF file?

    It’s all so confusing, and part of it is none of us wants to be mistaken for birfers just by ruminating the issue.

    Oh well, this economy should be easy-peasy for us to win the general on, and we don’t have to devote one ounce of energy to this Kenya issue to do it. Just focus on the debt, spending, and jobs, Mr. Romney, and the rest will take care of itself.

    Look, I think there is something to look at with this information that has come out, but the media will spin this as if it has been made up by some “Rigt” conspiracy and it will work against Mitt Romney. Please focus on the issues. The economy and Obama’s stupid policies is enough and everyone needs to stay focused on them.

    It would not surprise me if this was a tactic by the Obama Camp to divert attention from his pitiful record and idiotic agenda that have really ticked people off, and focus on us “Right” wing nut jobs. The media have done their job as painting anyone who is conserviative as nut and some people are afraid of us. We really need to work to change that persona. I know it seems like sucking up, but it is for the greater good people.
