Like His Policies, His Attacks Are Not Working Either

Barack Obama’s economic policies have failed to do anything except drive up the national debt. He has not created or saved jobs. He has not gotten Americans back to work. About the only significant industry he has expanded is the printing industry printing all the extra food stamps Americans now depend on.

His campaign attacks do not seem to be working either.

He is winning women, but not by the overwhelming margins he needs to get elected.

He is now losing Catholic voters, a key constituency he won in 2008.

He is even losing Democrats on his Bain Capital attacks. His campaign has spent more time explaining itself to Democrats this week on those attacks than it has been able to level the attacks. It doesn’t help when the Obama campaign is raking in money from Bain Capital and private equity firms while trying to demagogue them.

In a nutshell, the Obama campaign must convince Americans that Mitt Romney would be a worse option on the economy than Americans already believe Barack Obama is. Running a campaign on the message of “you think I’m bad, just look at him” is not really a winning message.

Last night, Barack Obama got a lower percentage of the vote among Democrats in Kentucky and Arkansas than Mitt Romney did with his base. Over 40% of Democrats in Kentucky voted against Barack Obama. Even at 11pm ET last night, the Associated Press had called the Arkansas Republican Primary for Mitt Romney, but still had not called the Democratic race for Barack Obama.

This is not good for the incumbent President.

While all of this is going on, Cory Booker of Newark, NJ, Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania, Harold Ford, Jr. of Tennessee/New York, and Duval Patrick of Massachusetts were chiming in to defend Bain Capital.

The attacks are not working.

we must not become smug or complacent! There are still more than five months to go, including October with its “surprises”. Still, this kind of news might help with get out the vote drives and we will need those for down-ballot races.
The other thing to look out for is if we do win the election, we must spend the next four years solving our economic issues–jobs, taxes, over regulation, energy, etc., or we will be the losers in ’16, including those down-ballot positions.
This election is our last chance to do it right, so we must back principled conservatives, and then keep the pressure on them come January. And, we must keep even more pressure on the RINOs to keep them from waffling “across the aisle”!!!

And the more the lamestreamers play the Cory Booker hostage video, the more genuine his initial statements look.

*Scare quotes because I believe the print industry is actually hurting because the lost advertising business is far greater than the increased government work. Also because having once worked in the print industry, I’ve looked at bids for that kind of work and know it’s a losing proposition that you might hold off bankruptcy this month, but ain’t paying bills in the long run.

So they destroy jobs, just like ATMs.

Obama said it, so it must be true.

“explaining itself to Democrats this week on those attacks”

You mean “strong-arming Democrats into not deviating from Obama’s line”

You nailed a lot of important points in that short post.

I would quibble (or clarify) one one point though. While this election is our last chance in that if we get it wrong we lose virtually everything. If we win, we win the opportunity to keep fighting, and possibly face more “last chances” in the future. The “more government is the answer to every question” crowd is relentless. Though all history stands against their ideologies, they stagger gracelessly forward like zombies. Still, somehow they manage to consume the brains of many in their paths and have more of their kind pop up in our midst (the waffling RINOs).

They will not go away, but we must win this one and perhaps keep them at bay for a while.

Maybe we should have a money bomb for them. Joking. Joking.

I thought that the Santorum/Gingrich endorsements would have been excellent for fundraising.

…yeah, yeah, I know it’s 5 months away, but everything these guys do blows up in their face. Their last resort will be the violence of their union goons and occupoopers. When they are defeated, the whole party will be toast.

Or, at least, his campaign. Not that they are perfect or deserve all the credit, but the Romney campaign seems to be good so far at countering Obama and his propaganda wing (a.k.a. the MSM).

I wish I had the knowledge and computer skills to do that kind of stuff,I`d start my web page today.

The big surprise in Kentucky’s Democratic primary was Uncommitted at 40% while in Arkansas John Wolfe scored a similar win close to 40%. Wolfe has received 12% of the presidential primary vote in LA. He is on the Democratic presidential primary ballots in Texas and Missouri.

I read a report last night that this TN lawyer has campaigned in Arkansas. Perhap he will also campaign in future states. It is unclear if he is to the left or right of Obama on any issue. If Wolfe is opposed to EPA mining policies then his campaign may have legs as a challenger so serious he can not be ignored.

    Hang in there, Mr Wolfe!

of their union goons and occupoopers. Thus, the crisis Obama will use to declare martial law and suspend elections… He will not be re-elected…He will not NEED to be.

The interesting thing is how disorganized and undisciplined the Obama campaign seems to be. There is a rhythm to a campaign, and it is good from a Republican perspective to see Obama prematurely using up his “attack on women”, “rally the gays”, and Bain Capital arguments with Biden, Booker, Rendell, and others preempting or undercutting him.
On the flip side, Romney will be strategic, organized, and disciplined. Note his repudiation of the Reverend Wright commercials and his quick response in ads and on the internet to Obama’s attacks. This will be a much better campaign than McCain’s – all substance aside.

I have been saying this myself, ever since he signed that executive order allowing himself to declare martial law for any reason he deems necessary to “protect the country” especially from losing his wornderful leadership.

good Vice Presidential Candidate. Several names come to mind but not Rubio or Christi. both of them are good guys but we need them where they are. I think we need Jindal or perhaps Ros-Lehtinen or even the 9-9-9 man. We will have to wait and see but I hope we get one that can put the Dems on their butts and lead the charge effectively.

We need both Senate and House to be solidly in the Republican (Conservative) camp. NO RINOs!

I always figured the crisis would be the border and the Drug cartels. Fast & Furious etc etc.

It looks like Axelrod decided a hostage video of Corey Booker recanting was as affective as first thought so they made Steve Rattner send a hostage letter to the NY Times recanting what they said and had their website at Politico run a hit job on Booker, Rattner, Rendell, and Ford saying they were all biased towards private equity. The problem for #ObamaSurrogates like Booker, Rattner, Rendell, Ford and Rosen is they have a hard time remembering which #ObamaLie they are supposed to tell this week. They need a lieing textbook, I’d recommend “Dreams From My Father”.

Since most food stamps are now done electronically, he took jobs away from printers and gave them to the evil ATM’s who took away the bank teller’s jobs.

    Alas everywhere he turns…failure

I am a conservative in CA but I question this diary about claims like

    1. “Obama’s Bain ads are not working ”
    2. Kentucky and Arkansas results “Not good for an incumbent president”

On the surface these claims seem like they are true. But IMO these claims mean nothing. Lets deal with these claims one by one

The Bain ad nothing working on the conservatives/Republicans is no surprise to me at all. However, the MSM is slowly generating a discussion on this makes it worrisome.
Romney’s key strength is his glowing experience in the PE industry. If that strong qualification is rendered worthless, Romney has nothing strong to debate on (No ObamaCare etc). However, breaking this key strength cannot be achieved in a day or a week. The O camp is setting this up as a discussion that would be had over a course of months leading up to the election. This is NOT good for us. I dont want our candidate’s key strength to be put up for discussion this early in the cycle.

The KY and AR results are just a protest vote. Remember, Romney never made it above 40% in most of the conservative states. However, we will still vote R in the election. In the same manner, I do expect all these democrats in KY and AR to vote D in the general. Nothing changes.

After 2010 the south almost became a single party region after the GOP picked up so many seats in states and national races HILL and POLITICO AL noted GOP gains. .

Obama seems dismissive of the voters in several southern states 2012 as if he could care less if these life time Democrats issues are addressed.

Is Obama ready to admit most the south and swing states are not worth keeping in his party?

Is the new Democratic party a regional party of a few large centers and hubs?

How do other Democrats feel about that abandonment of several states?

Is the DNC too liberal and one sided now or should it represent more traditonal views?

It looks to me that Obama may have not have written off the south and border states, he may have lost them.

On to Texas and Missouri. That Dem presidential primary will be rivoting.

….Obama’s less-than-one-term status as a US Senator and a community organizer was in 2008.

BTW, concern trolling is something we frown upon here.

You mean like they do in WV?

    http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/ky.htm

Take a look at the county-by-county results there, hero. McCain won nearly every county in a state that has over a half a million more registered Dems than Repubs.

In case you’re counting, that came out to a 16.4% victory…and that was when he was “hope and change” instead of crash and burn.

Cain proved a fool. We don’t need the first black Joe Biden.

and is spending much time on college campuses talking about conservative ideas. So to me, any black man with his credentials can only help the R campaign. I’m glad he didn’t the nomination for some reasons but won’t talk badly about him or his value in spreading a good message on capitalism and individual freedom.
