EDITOR OF REDSTATE

In Which @MoeLane Wins the Internets

As the Editor of RedState, today I stand proud of one of our front page contributors. If you can handle salty language, please, please go feast on these tears all inspired by our very own Mr. Moe Lane.

Oh, and after you are done feasting on those tears, make your way to the comments where you’ll get gems like this one:

Moe Lane is a special kind of a**hole. He is perhaps the smuggest political commentator I have ever read.

This is the kind of person we are up against. They aren’t happy so much about winning, they are happy because others feel bad. They aren’t happy because they got what they want, they are happy because YOU didn’t. They aren’t about making the world a better place for others, they are about making it better for themselves. They believe in tearing people down, for their own amusement.

and talk about a group of wholly delusioned people — those daily kos’ers are off the deep end!

  • westcoastpatriette

so now, it’s official. According to The Nephew — a blogger at Daily Kos — RedState is a Tea Party website. Hahahahahahahaha!

  • Repair_Man_Jack

    Excuse me, please.

  • Seedyrom

isn’t really the enemy of democrats, votes are the real enemy.

Money educates voters and voters make intelligent decisions while rabid liberals waste time, money and lie only to lose just the same. Their words sound a lot like democracy as do the votes that send them the message that the still suck.

Best read of the day at the Kroc of Stupidity. I’m going to Paypal them a Penny for Their Thoughts. 35% goes to the IRS! Woop!!!

    Projection much?

Perhaps they have not seen Bill Maher?

  • bcochran1981

at Moe’s site, I get to enjoy this kind of stuff everyday. And nice to see that the other side is actively trolling our sites. And that we can so easily get under their skin. I thought spiking the football was acceptable???

  • jaykali

Which is pretty much all the time.

  • msctex

A lot of them a firmly convinced they are on the side of all that is Good and Right, and they cannot for the life of them understand why people would not want if not need to think the way they do. Nevermind the consistent failure, damage done, destruction of all that functions — that will work itself out naturally eventually, somehow, once the Right People are all in charge.

    After all: it FEELS good!

  • http://impudent.edublogs.org/ kyle8

that Boehner and McConnell had shut down the congress. That is their problem in a nutshell, they are just completely ass backwards wrong on everything.

Of course it is Reid who has shut down everything, not allowing anything to come to a vote and not passing a budget.

When all of your assumptions are wrong, then you cannot possibly be right. What makes them A-holes is that they are so damn sure that they are right and want to hurt others to achieve their goals.

A matter of prudence, you make the same pre-emptive call to the local Sheriff’s Office that EE made. From reading the vitrol, I imagine you have made certain “SWATTING” lists.

  • tngal

they’ll just have to get over it. Moe is well within his rights to feast on the spoils of this particular war. And he’s killin’ them over there. He’s got a Riddick thing goin on. Death by teacup.

  • macbookben

pretty much summarizes how their emotions always guide their actions.

  • bcochran1981

trying to to get under their skin with that post? Or is that just a pleasant byproduct?

  • bcochran1981

probably not gonna get much love due to his location. But you’re right, a heads up isn’t a bad idea.

  • Finrod

    We won.

  • lineholder

    to paraphrase:

“Oh, it’s so demoralizing…like when we lost the vote for A1 in NC, and when we lost the vote for Prop 8 in CA, and when we lost all that [delicious] money from the education unions in FL….it’s all because of “evil” capitalism, you know?

But OUR cause is the noble one…it is the honorable one…how dare these evil upstarts get in the way of honorable and noble? We’ll show them (sniff, sniff)”

Oh, and Moe, you can tell this the Nephew person that if he’s planning to fight in NC, as in “putting boots on the ground” for D leading up to November, he better get a thicker skin than what he has and he needs to do it in a hurry…because he’s going to a lot of doors slammed in his face.

Dems have dug their own grave here with their corrupt behaviors. The D brand has left a bitter taste for plenty of people here in my state of NC. And no amount of sugar-coating it is going to get people in NC to eat that foul feces any more.

Tell him we’re already on the march and ahead of the game in NC. If he’s going to fight, he needs to “bring it”. And sign it “Friends of Moe Lane, NC, USA”

Doom. Grief at last wholly overcame them, and they wept long: some standing and silent, some cast upon the ground. Doom, doom.

    * for the transposition of both role and circumstance, which chills any attempts at analogy. But a little mere fun may be tolerated on specially happy days.

  • DeForce

always makes me laugh. He’s an unapologetic partisan, and quite proud of it. He’s a good writer, and has the ability to cut quick and deep with his wit.*

I have to respect that. I read Redstate because nobody has a monopoly on good ideas, and Moe is one of the reasons I come around as often as I do.

Even as a guy on the wrong side. One who’s lurking on this site, I find Kos repulsive. So any time they get wound up about something I tend to smile. It’s almost always a poor little snowflake who just found out he’s not special….

Keep it up Moe, I don’t always agree with you but I almost always smile and nod while reading it.

First of all….as far as the word Democracy goes…I guess the majority of voters went with Walker…so now, according to this guy…it is not about votes but $$$.

He should be looking at how much money his union bosses took out of his pay to get politically involved instead of taking “care” of him.

Walker…turned a deficit into a surplus, put people back to work and kept his campaign promises….WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THAT.

Uh.O…I guess people are not to happy with the Left’s policies :-(

  • stumpy

Every time I read through similar comments at places like Kos, I’m still amazed by the level of delusion. I was also a little surprised by some of the resentment and disappointment directed at Obama. Apparently many of those losers thought the great O would ride into Washington on his unicorn and make chicken salad for them out the Bush’s chicken sh**. When the great O was constrained by the practical limits of the office, Senate filibuster for two years, then a Republican House and most of all the American people, they get disgusted. It is hilarious!

Liberal policies have not been sucessful long term, either politically (since FDR) or economically (ever). The only historically sucessful Democrat since FDR was Bill Clinton. He is remembered fondly for welfare reform, budget balancing and pro-growth policies, all conservative ideas. Reasonable people who follow politics can easily see this. That leaves three categories for politically involved liberals with some overlap: naive/Kool-Aid drinkers, intentionally ignorant fools and the greedy (for power or money due to egos, corruption, laziness, etc).

Liberals want equality of outcomes. Conservatives want equality of opportunity. Outcome equality can never be achieved. Either a free market rewards the intelligent, gifted, hard working, blessed and lucky or government rewards the connected and cronies. Those are your two basic choices. America has a system of both right now and the liberal/conservative fight on fiscal and economic policy is btween these two competing systems, both with unequal outcomes.

  • NRPax

I can only dream of irritating that many people with one post.

  • macbookben

…Moe’s good writing and quick wit both delights and instructs. Like kicking the smoking habit, you will know when it’s time join the ‘right side.’

  • indieinvirginnie

    Well played.

But, you know, they really don’t even need a lot of goading at times like this to provide grade-A entertainment. As soon as the first outlets started to call the race for Walker, I switched over to MSNBC, because I wanted to hear Rachel Maddow say the words. You would have thought that she had just finished gargling with horseradish-infused vinegar.

  • tankertodd

Oh that was so good. I don’t smoke but I feel like I should have a cigarette now.

There’s so much good about this I don’t know where to start.

Moe Lane, if you don’t print that post out and put it onT-shirts for your entire family I will be disappointed. Or maybe a 8×10 foot poster in your house. That needs to be printed for your brag book. Excepts of that will be in your first book jacket. This is an Olympic Medal for bloggers. These kinds of posts are truly the spoils of war. Delish.

And the best part is after Moe Lane busts them for trying so dang hard and still losing huge, what does Nephew do? He’s commits to TRYING HARDER. What was the definition of stupidity? Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.

    If the boot fits…

  • earlgrey

Didn’t think you opposed that? Props anyway.

  • Tbone

I am drunk on the tears of the Left.
Their wails of anguish are music to my ears.
Their wanton denial of reality affirms my faith.
    I delight in their misery.

Their messiah, The Great O has been shown a fool.
    He cowardly abandoned the fray.
    He flees before the Right.
    He is doomed.

The political blood of the Democrats is upon our hands.
We hold them aloft in victory for the World to see.
Their throats were slit from within by the lies of their tongues.
    We rejoice, we rejoice.

  • gekster

    don’t quit your day job.

  • PowerToThePeople

as if they are the ones who treat others nice, care about their country, would never vote against their own interests, are not using money to push their agenda ( considering Obama rode to victory based somewhat on his massive war chest, and never say a thing bad about the other side. What surprises me more is how much angst was displayed over Moe’s post. It was great, but it was not worthy of the massive temper tantrum displayed by those pansies.

For one day I would love to live in such denial so that I could see if they really believe what they say or the pleasure makes the crying denial worth it.

is the image of the National Mall after various Tea Party rallies, and the same image after [insert lefty cause].

The former is immaculate, with trash having been cleaned and people departing in orderly fashion.

The latter is trashed with litter and human debris, and the site of annoying, anti-social, attention-seeking behavior.

Endorsing leftism is an easy way to avoid taking ownership of (and thus, responsibility for) your corner of society. It’s a lot easier to spout lofty rhetoric about the proletariat than to go to church or a shelter to help the less fortunate.

  • ctredstater

Moe pi**ed off all the right people.

  • Xasteius

Any civics course would teach him that America is a republic.

  • falconrap

Reading some of the comments over there, it’s just amazing that they think we are haters and liars who want to profit at other people’s expense. Never mind that conservatives tend to be married with children, involved in their communities, and more charitable. Also forget that the facts tend to actually support conservative views over liberal ones. None of that matters one whit to them. They tend to project their feelings on us, believing we are so nasty and bad. Apparently we want our children (most of them don’t have children while most of us do) to breath dirty air, eat bad foods, and watch the polar bears die. We also want grandma dead because she’s a burden to the system. Of course, none of this is true, and these Kos kiddies tend to believe it is.

All we want is for people to be free, and to be responsible for themselves and those they love, and stop trying to make everyone else pay for their free ride. Moe’s comments struck a big nerve over there and it’s sad watching their pathetic responses. But, considering how they act, I guess the best response to them is “suck it!”

  • aesthete

  • http://www4.webng.com/rickbull/lostlucky/ rickbull

The reason that the left lost in WI was not because of money, it was because of behavior. The state senators acted like children and fled the state. Then the libs and unions flooded the capital building and acted like children. Then the groups with megaphones tried to shout anyone down who disagreed with them–like children.

A conservative is simply a liberal who has grown up.

  • http://www4.webng.com/rickbull/lostlucky/ rickbull

because he used to be a democrat–the same reason that Ronald Reagan could elicit the same response from journalists at the press conferences. When you’ve been one, you know how to eat their gizzards from the inside out.

  • barleycorn

“The GOP is a voting bloc comprised of every junior-high kid who ever called me names.”

I think that is my favorite line from among the Daily Kos comments.

    Talk about unresolved issues…….

  • http://www4.webng.com/rickbull/lostlucky/ rickbull

but you’d have to wash your eyes and ears with bleach afterwards.

  • barleycorn

Actually they don’t want that. Liberals want to be the people who get paid very well to tell all the other people how to live their life.

Among the tactics they use to gain power is to tell the less-successful people that they are less-successful only because of unfairness and greed and that only the government can over come unfairness and greed.

Lazy people want someone to blame for their laziness so they quickly buy into the lies told by liberals and agree to vote for them.

    Repeat until broke.

  • cactusjack

surely got him some chicks, and he knew it would.

  • barleycorn

Did anyone else read down far enough to see the earlier diary that the same author reposted in the comments? I’ve condensed it to stay with-in fair use:

    “”Is it safe to travel?

    by The Nephew

I have decided to go to Europe the last week in June. I may stay a week or two. My main concern is the economic situation in Europe, and the threat of protests and strikes. Nothing can ruin a vacation more than civil unrest!
Maybe stay in Paris for two days and then travel down to Nice. Once in Nice we could sail the Mediterranean Sea and enjoy the beaches.
In Italy, we’d still be able to enjoy the beaches and the Mediterranean. My main concern with Rome is that it sounds like Italy is more volatile than France right now due to protests and riots.
Has anybody been to any of these places in the past few months? Are they safe? “”

It strikes me as odd that someone who is such a progressive is so worried about “civil unrest” and “strikes” and such. I mean I thought those kinds of things were the mothers milk of progressive political activity.

Also for a presumed member of the down-trodden 99% he seems blithely unconcerned about finances as he jets around the world and lounges about Europe for a “week or two”.

  • PowerToThePeople

as even a cliche blond would have a bit more self respect than to throw herself at him after such a pansy display.

  • PowerToThePeople

and while I pray it never happens to anyone again, I am sure they are already planning on getting Moe. This SWATing crap is going to end up killing someone soon and then the left will not find it so funny.

A new member of The Black Bloc, comin’ up…….

All Progressive got left in the trick bag is EMO. All else is spent.
So now you gotta think like a 5 year old to ‘match wits’ with them.
    Don’t know if I’m up to it…….

“He’s so full of sh–, his eyes are brown…”

He ain’t goin’ to N C wjthout anonymity, as then he’d have to be seen ‘in the light’. If he goes at all.
After Europe he’s get a bad case of “terminal mellow”, and keep writing drivel instead.

In other news, I got a call from ‘Organizing for America’ last night with a local {248} area code on Caller I D
    { Stored the # for some giggles on 11/7/2012}
    * Would I be ready to ‘step up’ and work for Obama? “No, not a chance” (no follow up to This question from me}
*Was I going to vote for/endorse Barry? “Not hardly”
A really pregnant pause then lasted approx. 15 seconds and boy, was it noisy in that room.
    Musta used the white pages………

I think of my own nephews, two of them, both Army officers (West Point grads) who have just this week returned form long, arduous deployments in Afghanistan. My own son, a grunt who served two combat tours in Iraq, comes to mind, as well. All three are happy, productive men.

Let me offer The Nephew some advice: Instead of whining like a spoiled child, grow up, create a job for yourself (other than using a computer in your mom’s basement to sell crap) and consider joining us in the real world.

You do this to yourself, Little “Nephew” because nobody is forcing you to hate America or to hate the “Tea Party” (whatever you think that is.)

Get a clue and you, too, will find happiness.

  • acat

    No, it doesn't really work

Now, if you want it *connected* to something, you’ll need to fill a medium-sized backpack with non-sequential twenties, and find a way to put it into the hands of … whoever took over Neil’s job as chief techie.
