Transportation Secretary Praises Murderous Communists as “More Successful”

Obama Administration Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood has come out in favor of the Chicoms over Americans claiming that in China “only three people make the decision. In our country, 3,000 people do.”

Hannah Sternberg of Regnery gives a great example of that Chinese 3 man success. Likewise, the famed high spec rail system in China has come under investigation for corruption, is not making money, and has repeated broken down. The same three people who make decisions decided to make the man in charge of the rail system disappear.

Also, unlike the United States, the 3 men in China are able to have children forcibly aborted if their mothers exceed more than one child.

Also in China, unlike the United States, the 3 men in China are able to kill dissidents exercises what we hick Americans call our “first Amendment rights.”

But truth be told, in the United States, there are actually only 535 men and women who make decisions, with one Chief Executive to execute the law and 9 Justices to ensure equal protection of the law and justice.

The states have a similar construct. The barriers put in place to decision making have been put in place by people like Ray Lahood, a relic of Congress — and Republican no less — who voted to expand government and regulation and who still pushes an expansion of regulation.

Thomas Friedman disease has firmly set into the Adminstration. They’re rooting against us and for a murderous regime of despots.

By the way, objectively the United States is vastly superior both on the freedom scale and in terms of economic progress.

    What a dirtbag.

  • beafrank

Tyranny is the progressive’s wet dream.

  • wintermute

It makes me think they crave the kind of power over people demonstrated by the Chinese in that wikipedia article linked in the diary. It makes me think they want it and they’d use it to its fullest extent if they could.

    Thank god for the constitution.

    …oh wait

  • izoneguy

That most capital murder trials in China last about
45 minutes and if you are found guilty
you are usually hauled out back of the court
house and shot in the head.

it IS that.Thats the perfect analogy.

He was Obama’s token “Republican” cabinet selection. Even 4 years ago, one would use quotes to describe him as such…

  • aesthete

I will lose hope for this country if this fool is from a red state, if he was appointed by a red stater, or if he’s in any way associated with conservatism.

Without looking I’m going to guess he’s a career bureaucrat from a blue state who chose the R label out of convenience.

  • aesthete

by not directly quoting him at length. In his own words:

“The Chinese are more successful [in building infrastructure] because in their country, only three people make the decision. In our country, 3,000 people do, 3 million[...] In a country where only three people make the decision, they can decide where to put their rail line, get the money, and do it. We don’t do it that way in America.”

“[Tea Partiers] don’t have any vision about what the government can do. That’s been a real inhibitor in our ability to think outside the box and think big[...]”

“We shortchange the next generation if we don’t leave them high-speed rail. That’s our obligation.”

“There’s no turning back on this. We’re not going to turn back. And you know why? Because that’s what the people want. That’s why… there’s no stopping high speed rail.”

“Doing nothing is not acceptable. Don’t be coming here and telling me it’s not acceptable if you don’t have an alternative. It’s coming to California. All the studies show, if you build it they will come.”

This man isn’t fit to breathe the same air as free men. He should be sacked, and the man who appointed him should be held responsible for putting someone with that kind of attitude charge over my taxes and my roads.

I give him credit for the honesty. They are all raving socialist; this was just stupid enough to admit it.

Tom Sullivan has as much respect for this guy as he does Tiny Tim Geithner.
Whenever I hear the name LAHOOD,it reminds me of the the movie PALE RIDER,where LAHOOD wanted to control all the gold in the ground.

I used to live in the district next door to his. I guess he’s probably squishy because he represents the district around Peoria, which is dripping with UAW members (Caterpillar).

  • ffc99

Ray represented one of the most conservative districts in the state (one of only 2 or 3 that McCain won in 08, I believe) and never got under 59-60% of the vote. He wasn’t squishy out of political necessity, it’s just in his nature (kind of like his old boss, Bob Michel).

?Everybody?s watching what?s going on in Beijing right now with the Olympics , Think about the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure. Their ports, their train systems, their airports are vastly the superior to us now, which means if you are a corporation deciding where to do business, you?re starting to think, ?Beijing looks like a pretty good option.?? – Obama 2008

Back in the late 70′s, when Obama was coming of age, the debate inside the Left was which socialist system was best, Soviet, Chinese, Nicaraguan, French, etc. Obama intellectually sampled from all of these flavors and is comfortable with those people who prefer one over the other.

  • mikeymike143

both are career RINO’s who dont have a conservative principle between them.

  • partyof1

    search for china ghost cities

I wonder if they just go hog wild on infrastructure to artificially maintain a minimum economic growth percentage.

  • otis1

Castro had to live in the jungles of Cuba for years until he profited enough from Class Envy, and had little of the Race Card to play there, much like Chavez.

Obama had all of that upfront, plus his puppeeter Ayers who ruined/indoctrinated the American School System for him, after he attacked the Pentagon decades before Bin Laden did on 911. Bin Laden blamed 911 on Bill Clinton’s weaknesses,it’s no wonder he was not going to face trial in NYC for Holder.

  • aesthete

they are goosing their GDP by building these massive projects that no one cared for and that don’t have value for their citizens.

The Chinese economy is a paper tiger.

That’s what they don’t tell you about rule by one man or by one party: that one party makes lots of mistakes, and the only way to cover that up is by 1) instilling a sense of mindless devotion and unquestioning loyalty in the citizenry, and 2) stopping anyone from asking too many questions. God only knows how many errors the Chinese bureaucracy is making; the interior, agrarian areas of China are run in straight-up communist fashion, with quotas and such. China is headed for some interesting times, IMO.

  • aesthete

At least it’s not a red state, though.

What a fool. I imagine that he would be first in line to help run a Vichy-style government if ever we fell to a tyrannical power; an eager quisling ferreting out the true patriots for the enemy’s firing line.

  • Bill S

than honestly arrived-at candor. I.e., he pulled a Joe Biden.

He even includes a weak aside that he likes that we’re not China, it’s good that we’re a democracy, that he prefers it that way, etc which is of course contradicted by the thrust of his remarks.

  • teapartypatriot4ever

It goes without saying that Obama and all of his henchmen and women, subscribe to, believe in, and advocate one of their favorite political mass murders- Mao Tse-Tung, who is one of former White House communications director Anita Dunn’s, along with Obama’s current manufacturing Czar Ron Bloom’s, favorite political philosophers.?

Quote, in their won words- “We kind of agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun.”

Now how much more evident can one be as an anti-American deranged despot be, than these radical anti-Freedom and Liberty people are exposed as being..

Of course, I also blame the apathy and indifference of the American people, in the 2008 election.. But that argument of blame is for another day. This day is for the rectification of that tremendously horrid mistake against the very heart and soul and being of America as a beacon of Freedom and Liberty, where Individual Freedom and Sovereignty is supposed to be the shining light example for all the world to see and follow.. But which this rogue radical anti-American liberal Socialist-Marxist Maoist Regime has all but destroyed the very core and being of America as it has been for the 236 years.

Thus ours is not to try to reason with those who have no reason, no logic, no values and principles of goodness whatsoever, ours is to only defeat them.

    quote-

“Evil is powerless if the good are unafraid”

    President Ronald Wilson Reagan

Have you ever noticed, that there are far more male anti-American- pro-DC RINO’S working @ foxnewsdc/nyc than female ones. The laddies@foxnewslooksmellandthinkbetter by far.

There are so many men at Fox News, mostly the big names, that I lost most of my respect for during our too many GOP Primary Debates. And the same gang in 2010, seemed to favor their DC RINO PALS over America’s TEA PARTIES?

  • standfast24

When you have no property rights and dictatorial power it’s very easy to get stuff done. Want to flatten a neighborhood, displace hundreds of families and pay them little to nothing – that Chinese SOP.
Easy to build rail or highways that way, too bad we can’t route a freeway through Tom Friedman’s living room and offer his two choices Chinese style – yes or jail.

I happened to catch the erin burnette segment where she tried to make a romney jetski video into a John Kerry windsurfing moment. WTF?

    They are getting desperate.

Please don’t go along w/ the CNN garbage like that next time. Bring up something worthwhile discussing like this or the terrible economy etc…

Roland Martin actually kind of defended Romney. Burnett should have been called out for partisan hack crap like this when America is freakin burning and we have idiots like LaHood in the admin.

Truth be known this man is setting out to do as much harm as he can to American Trucking.

Funny fact: In New US Semi trucks the air coming in our grill is dirtier than the air going out our smoke stacks. This only added $30,000 to the cost of a truck and $200 a week in costs.

Consider the price was $120,000 to buy a new truck.

Funny Fact #2: We are unsafe if we take two long rest periods a week. It promotes unsafeness or something.

Funny Fact #3: Warnings under his proposed rules will count for points! Dead headlight? Points! Flat tire? Points!

Sad Fact #4: The Teamsters and OOIDA (Owner Operaters Org.) both sue him for his stupid policies. When the left and right hate you…

Wtf fact #5: The man even wants to bad Hands free devices for ALL drivers

Our form of Government even with the likes of Obama is still the best in the world. The reason the 435 people in the House and 100 in the Senate rule the country is because We the People allow them top through our votes. Although it takes time we can change the people in congress every election day. we just have to have the will to do so. China only seems successful because they only let the sucess stories out. when the unsuccessful stories get out they deny them and bury them. Then they bury who ever let them out. What people need to know is that the only place in China that seems to be successful is along the East Coast. Two Thirds of the country still lives in what could only be described as deplorable conditions without electricity or hot and Cold running water. That part of China you never hear about. Communism, Socialism, Liberalism are the philosophies of enslavement. Pre-Civil War the south looked very successful too but only if you were a Rich plantation owner.

I am “Shocked” and “Outraged” ,to the tips of my tooties.

As much as Thad McCotter was a ‘Conservative’, His district’s Massive Unionist membership was obvious, as seen in his Votes.
I do not think [IMHO] he ever coulda’ won 5 times, if he wasn’t somewhat squishy, and it showed.

As we here continue to see and hear what passes for intelligence, reasoned discourse, and foresight nowadays,I marvel we’re not a lot lower on the evolutionary scale.

Didn’t Ray Retire? Seems like ‘fore-ever’ ago, he muttered something to that effect. Is this bushwah part of his Legacy?

(and she brings home a wide variety) are three Logistics Mags. Some of this revised rules stuff is just silly, to me.

The new safety regs and Hours Of Service rules are supposed be be very unevenly enforced, per industry and owner orgs.

What is your personal experience with same? Are you an O/O, and who ‘nicks’ you in your daily employment?

    Ride safe, sir.

Ray The Hood cozied up to Rahm “Dead Fish” Emmanuel while in Congress. Dead Fish referred to him as” My good Republican friend who works well with me!” No surprise that he changed his stripes. He’s a politically corrupt part of the Obama Communist Secretariat!

It may be the best information available given the secrecy of the regime. A quick scan indicated that data is reported in year-end snapshots therefore not to be trusted. If you know what day you must report it will not be very difficult to manipulate the results.

  • paco12348

Before Romney can move in he MUST exterminate and decontaminate the White House. Obama moved in all the rats and vermin like himself that crawled from the woodwork and they continue to multiply.

“By your works you are known.”

The fakers are uncomfortable with the Grassroots movement because we stay awake between elections, compare words with works, note associations and report as accurately as we can. If we can do anything else to make the manipulators squirm let us know. If it is ethical it will be done. Remember, we are not out to get THEM but to get BETTER GOVERNANCE. gawtp.com

We have an Emperor who decides who lives and who dies. We should be much more sucessful then the ChiComs. Our Emperor Obama has been very successful at killing hundreds of our enemies, oh, but some have been innocent civilians in the wrong place at the time of the execution of the one he waned killed. Well that’s OK, collateral damage you know.
We are rapidly becoming like those we despised all these years, secret meetings to decide who dies, people locked up without due process, and others who are thugs in front of polling places treated as upstanding citizens. It is only a matter of time, if this man wins another term in office you will see what a real dictator can do. We will lose all our rights because he will declare martial law and dsband the congress and become the sole abiter of everything in this country. Ready to become a third rate country? Re-elect the Emperor Obama. Of course if he loses he might declare martial law because the people were led astray and he must right that wrong against himself. Nullify the election, disband the congress for their own safety and make all decisions himself. Be prepared for the worst.

I am a company drive currently but as a political activist and a driver I am keeping up strongly on La Hood.

There is a number of unevn regulations coming out including an Sleep Apnea required test if your BMI is to high, the new HOS rules on 34 hour resets favors local drivers, Owner Operators will be gutted under CSA2010 when it comes (points on driver and business, favors huge fleets), NAFTA issues will cost us a lot of drivers.

The half hour break is also favoring Unions. I sit on my ass all day and eat in the seat… I don’t need a forced half hour break.

Between it all I see an effort to break Owner Operators and small fleets for larger fleets. If they can do that then it stands to reason they think they can march unions into a number of the large companies.

Meanwhile they see a back door method to tax every person in the United States by increasing the cost of trucking.

Then there are the subsidies. Few companies can consider Natural Gas as a real option unless they own a lot of land, then it can be. Therefore NG subsidies help only truly huge companies like Fed-Ex, Kroger, and Walmart. Same with attempts to make all electric truck subsidies.

And I feel like I am only scratching the surface of the “Most Regulated Industry on Earth” but it would require a book to write it all.
