Stephanie Cutter: A Liar Or A Fool

Stephanie Cutter of the Barack Obama campaign claims that MItt Romney is either a liar or a felon.

There’s just one problem. Stephanie Cutter appears to be the liar or a fool.

This all stems from when Mitt Romney left Bain Capital.

Guy Benson lays it out over at Townhall. In short, it has been well documented that while Mitt Romney had some interest in Bain Capital, he had left the company and ceased to exercise managerial responsibility.

Moreso, the reports that Stephanie Cutter is relying on and that the Obama campaign ginned up in the Boston Globe and elsewhere rely on a former SEC Commissioner who is also a Democrat donor. The media hasn’t really reported on that.

The facts, as Stephanie Cutter lay them out, actually do prove one of two things. Either Stephanie Cutter is the liar, or she is a fool and does not understand how partnerships are structured. Given the way Barack Obama himself treats private enterprise, we should not be surprised if he has someone working for him that is as ignorant as he is on the matter.

As even FactCheck.org notes

We find the Obama campaign’s evidence to be weak or non-existent, and contrary to statements Romney has made on official disclosure forms under pain of federal prosecution.

So, Stephanie Cutter, are you a liar or just a fool?

Stephanie Cutter can be both a liar and a fool. Like her boss.

Bush is responsible for everything bad that happened on the next guy’s watch at the White House.

Romney is responsible for everything bad that happened on the next guy’s watch at Bain.

You know Obama and his punks continue to use this line of attacks on Bain. It just amazes me that they reach out to one of their media buddies (the Boston Globe in this case) to print a story that ie basically a LIE! It misrepresents the facts. Romney left Bain as the Managerial Control of the Company but he still had his investment. That happens all the time. People keep stock but DO NOT run the day to day operations. HELLO STOCKHOLDERS in every publicly traded company!! See your 401(K). But this report was another HIT PIECE by a rubbish newspaper. FactOrg calls it bogus even though the OBAMA campaign sent them a 6 page explanation so that FACTORG would agree. THEY DID NOT! They still called it FALSE….WaPo factchecker called it a lie….yet the GLOBE went with the piece…and you are right ERIK…never mentions the main source from the SEC is a BIG DONOR to the OBAMA CAMPAIGN and DEMS…SHOCKING HEY??? But the Glove never mentions that fact!

They (DEMS) put out talking points….like Romney being a liar and criminal and maybe GOP needs a new Candidate…NOW WHY WOULD THEY FEAR ROMNEY??? Simply…because they are spending millions and THEY ARE LOSING….46 percent and Obama is stuck on that number!!

Fortune released statement that said they have confidential Bain documents that SHOW ROMNEY HAD NO MANAGEMENT CONTROL after 1999 and he was not making the decisions. He was stockholder but not DECISIONMAKER…and baby you could use that against Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and so many OWNERS and STOCKHOLDERS who OWN companies but do not run the day to day operations!

Another EGG on the face of DEMS and the MSM what a surprise! Do you think Boston Globe will clarify…I DOUBT IT!!!

Obama must be really be afraid of Romney….they are going NUTS and it is JULY…MAYBE IT IS THAT ECONOMY that shows NO SIGNS OF TURNING AROUND or OBAMACARE/TAX that Americans for the most part hate….or the trillions in Debt and the fact that over 56 percent of Americans think Obama has made America Worse!

    Just sayin’

Those on the left claim that Romney “signed” the SEC filings, and one article says that a Romney spokesman says he did, but the available evidence is sketchy.

I’ve found two filings that indicate Romney as CEO, but show that the signatory was someone else (as indicated by a “/s/” before the name).

The first is a filing for Odwalla, Inc, which was signed by Mark E. Nunnelly and nobody else.

The second is for US LEC Corp, and is signed by a guy named Michael Krupka.

Not sure if I can post links, so I’ll try it in a second post.

Actually you should be given $15. at least for that one! :)

And an excellent analysis up there by Jude68: again, as I have written elsewhere today and yesterday, the lies need to be specifically refuted and quickly!

Otherwise the Illiterati and others hear only the one side.

  • hwgood

Since all his problems are Dubya’s fault, couldn’t Mitt run against Bush?
Tell the people we can’t afford a full 16 years of Bush, vote Romney.

  • Ausonius

Don’t you know what the Dan Rather School of Fine Journalism will claim?

“The story is still true, even if it didn’t happen.” :)

Again we find that Facts, for the Leftists, are difficult things to find and to believe.

And I’m thrilled to see the Romney people finally starting to hit back, the commercial calling Obama a liar was spot on.
Now if they can just put up a commercial calling him an America-hating, dometic terrorist hugging marxist I’ll sleep well at night.

    They first make angry.
Be very careful. One of the great tricks of someone like Obama is to tick off the opposition so badly they over react.
Heartland Institute’s response to the Peter Gleick fraud and phishing scam is a classic example of this:
Instead of letting the facts continue to clearly show that Gleick is what he is, they ran an over top billboard campaign compared the Unabomber with climate activists. It back fired and gave formerly sympathetic people in the climate debate an excuse to turn against HI.
And I am a supporter of HI, by the way.
Obama wants, desperately, for the conservative blogosphere and hopefully Romney to get so enraged that we produce a sound bite showing us as racists who simply hate Obama.
I suggest that since Obama is the truly thin skinned one, and a very poor but wel accomplished un-truth teller, to respond to this latest sad ploy of the Obama campaign with pity, derision and laughter:
I feel sorry for Obama’s staff: they have to fabricate things like this because they know their candidate cannot sand any sort of real scrutiny.
I find it hilarious that candidate Obama, who has given literally billions of tax payer dollars to his friends on failed and foolish soalr energy scams is talking about how a successful business leader is somehow crooked.
It is sad that not only is the President hiding Fast & Furious from the American people but he is hoping he can distract them further with factually incorrect claims about Gov. Romney. But he clearly did not understand how to run a criminal sting, and he clearly does not understand how a good business is run.
Hey, this is kind of funny: We all knew the Obama people have no experience in business, and now they are out embarrassing themselves about Blain Capital to make certain we all see just how uninformed they are.
Notice no use of word “liar”.
    Stay away from it.
Do not be goaded: Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make angry.
Get Obama and his minions to be angry ones: After all, they are not able to run on truth, facts, performance, or integrity. Those are all sorely lacking in their candidate. Instead we have Mitt.
Let’s frame this in way that is not defensive or angry. Let’s make them mad. And let the gods destroy them.

The movie pretty much takes care of this for Romney. I wonder just how many theaters will actually run it? Will 0 manage to “embargo” it until after the election?

  • tnfriendofcoal101368

isn’t going to take too kindly to Stephie Cutter going around town calling him a felon. Further I suspect 20 years from now Barry O rues this day as the day he poked a bull.

  • fightnright

The longer Mitt engages with Dem bombings like this, the longer those thugs can continue the stories (with twelve paras of falsehoods and one obscure sentence of rebuttal per article.)

The Dems don’t care that most of their goons they deploy to spill the cr@p will eventually be proved liars and fools. Their goal for the next few months is to keep headlines including words like Romney, liar, felon, etc. at the top of the news cycle as often as possible.

The trick for Mitt is to keep the opposition busy and off balance, and responding to counter-strikes (saving the most destructive ammo for after Labor Day), using his Super PACs.

And our spokespeople don’t have to be as worried that they’ll be proven liars. There’s enough truth out there that’s damning to Obama to keep us from stooping to their level.

  • Xasteius

Fast and Furious: hundreds of Mexicans and 2 American citizens murdered by weapons that the US AG Holder (and Obama) gave to the drug cartels

Obama’s association with ACORN, an organization that has committed voter fraud

The refusal of Obama to enforce DOMA and immigration laws (well, any law that displeases His Majesty).

And this is the (extremely) short list.

  • fightnright

…and speaking of checks, I hope Mitt as a good business and money manager can mention the lack of a budget for THREE YEARS, how Reid can keep blocking proposals is a Constitutional crime in itself….
