Election Day in Wisconsin: Go Vote for Mark Neumann

It’s time Wisconsin. Heck, it has been a long time coming.

Today, please go vote for Mark Neumann for the United States Senate. Polls in Wisconsin have the race incredibly close.

There is a real chance for Wisconsin to send a man to the Senate who will join Ted Cruz, Richard Mourdock, Deb Fischer, and the conservatives already there to bring back fiscal sanity to Washington.

Eric Hovde would not be going to Washington, he would be returning home. No man goes home and storms his own castle. Eric Hovde would protect the same policies Washington has churned out that have helped make him a very rich man.

Tommy Thompson still holds on the glory days of school reform, but has, out of office and in the Bush Administration, been a proponent of big government, Obamacare, and fiscal insanity.

Only Mark Neumann will go to Washington to make Washington as inconsequential as possible in all our lives. Go vote for him today.

he is backed by jim demint, club for growth, rand paul, mark levin, and the tea party express. and those are the same people that backed mourdock and cruz. i think that tea party lightning will strike again and mark neumann wins the primary today.

If he happens to win the nomination, we will lose that seat. Mr. Neumann cannot win a state-wide election in the Badger State. He barely won his own district in Congressional elections. Remember this is a district that Paul Ryan has consistently won from a low of 57% to a high of 68%.

Neumann lost to a vulnerable Russ Feingold in 1998, allowing him to continue his ultra-liberal ways for another 12 years.

Some have said that because Scott Walker and Ron Johnson were elected in 2010, it’s time for Neumann to win one. Trust me. If he wins, all of the endorsements in the world won’t help him win the general election.

If Thompson wins the primary, he’s a slam dunk for the general. This is the governor who lowered taxes to historic lows in Wisconsin. I don’t understand the antipathy against him..

Of the four candidates running for that seat, Tommy Thompson is the only one with any real chance of beating uber-leftist Tammy Baldwin. Neumann damaged himself slightly during the 2010 gubernatorial race when his campaign went negative against Scott Walker. A lot of people haven’t forgotten that.

Personally, I like Jeff Fitzgerald. But even I have to come to grips with reality and realize that the main objective is ensuring that Tammy Baldwin does not win Herb Kohl’s seat this fall. Neumann won’t be able to beat her in the general.

Mark Neumann cannot win in the general election. He can’t. He’s certainly not conservative enough, and the only reason Erick is supporting Neumann is because Hovde had a successful career in Washington. Oh no!

A lot of people make promises. Hovde is the only genuine candidate. He knows the issues. He’s tough. He’s got the know how. He CAN make a difference in Washington. I don’t care where he’s worked, I care what he will DO.

Neumann won’t make a difference. Neumann took stimulus dollars for his own company AND raised taxes. What a champion for conservative solutions! Thompson’s just a lobbyist trying to make it big off the dime of public service.

The ONLY choice is Eric Hovde, Erick!

I’m not from Wisconsin but from what I could find he is the Speaker that had Gov. Walker’s back in passing those needed pension reforms. Why are so many stuck on this Mark Nuemann kick even after he went so negative on Walker two years ago?

I find it interesting to see that all Mark Neumann’s endorsements come from “OUT OF STATE”. He has NO endorsements from organizations or officials in Wisconsin. I was a supporter of Mark Neumann prior to his attacks on Governor Scott Walker.

Tommy Thompson has name recognition, lot’s of money, and one major local endorsement from former Lieutenant Governor Margaret Farrow ( a reputable Republican) but he is still a moderate on health care (he endorsed Obamacare and doesn’t think it can be repealed). He had too many years as a politician in Washington.

Jeff Fitzgerald is a bona fide Conservative Republican, but he has no money and no major local endorsements. I have not been able to find one even from his brother who was Senate Majority Leader.

Hovde was asked to run for Senate by our current Senator Ron Johnson. As I recall, Johnson was rumored to have “no chance” of beating Russ Feingold. Hovde has also been endorsed by two of our most Conservative Senators – Leah Vuikmir and Glenn Grothmann.

Every accusation against Hovde has been based on a bold faced lie, all of which are mirror images of the charges made here by Erick Erickson. Eric Hovde went to Washington when his father was appointed to Ronald Reagan’s cabinet. Eric was 24 and went out on his own, making a huge capitalist fortune. He returned to Madison to run and enlarge his family’s real estate business. He has been unapologetically successful in his ventures.

I have great respect for Erick Erickson and Senator Jim Demint, but in this case – THEY ARE WRONG.

  • PowerToThePeople

the button and are now mad? Since I never called you an idiot, makes your rant sort of pointless. As to the rest of your tripe, same advice applies to you that I gave the other ignorant moron above, you suck as a Hovde spokesman, find a new job.

That and grow up and get out of mommies basement.

  • joyceking

Neumann is NOT a conservative. His own company took over half a million in stimulus funds. How can we expect him to go to Washington and stand behind conservative fiscal policies that can turn this country around???

The only reasons Erickson has for attacking Hovde is that he has worked in Washington and has been a successful businessman. Since when is that a crime? It sounds like to me he has experience working hard for us in Washington, and RESULTS, and knows better than any of the other candidates the work that goes into being successful in business. That’s who will protect our small business owners, and that’s who will turn Wisconsin’s economy around.

Eric Hovde is who we need. He has the record, the vision, and the backbone to fight for our state in Washington.

with the key word being “electable.” Although IMO, Baldwin may just be too liberal for Wisconsin also. Still, I would go with the slam dunk instead of the possible stray bullet hitting our own foot a la Delaware 2010.

  • http://llphsecondrevolution.wordpress.com/ spoasteph97

but Thompson and Hovde are both WAY BETTER THAN BALDWIN!

If Baldwin wasn’t the Democrat nominee, I wouldn’t be so concerned about whether our nominee won or lost (winning would be preferred).

But she IS the nominee, and I just want somebody who can beat her…because she would be a disaster if she got to the Senate.

The Democrats can afford to vote in GOP primary for a weak candidate and many might. They did that t in the recall primary.

In recall primary a straw Republican ran against Walker and he got 14% of the GOP vote in Dane county home of union backed candidate Kathlene Falk. Falk got only 30% of the home vote where she usually polled in mid 40s against winner Barrett in other counties .

The cross over to vote for the Straw Repub was oobvious by the numbers. Falk down 14 at 30% , Straw GOP at 14% in Dane. The straw GOP got maybe 2-3% total in that recall primary.

The headline was Walker won more votes than top two Dems combined. But I noted the straw Repub candidate vote and it was large enough to make a difference in a situation when every vote counts.

…is almost always a warning sign that the one who invoked it doesn’t understand what it means.

  • streiff

when you use “true conservative” it usually means you either don’t understand what conservatism is or that you are Paultard… but I repeat myself.

Keep in mind for future reference.

  • Bill S

Those who identify themselves as “true conservatives” generally are full of that crappy crap crap.

  • barb1956

Erick Erickson has really disappointed me. Eric Hovde is the only one who should win this election. He can work well with Ron Johnson…that is what really matters!! VOTE HOVDE!!!

  • streiff

speak up. Posting this same stupid comment twice is just greasing your way out of here.

  • barb1956

If you are a true conservative…so right. DO NOT VOTE for Mark Neumann, or Tommy Thompson….they are both not fit for the job. Hovde must and should win. He has the proverbian “fire in his belly” to go to DC for WI.

I too have wondered why Jeff Fitgerald has not gotten more notice from voters. He led the Assemby to pass the Walker reforms just as his brother Scott led the Senate. Jeff Fitzgerald has little or no money in an age of politcs driven by TV ads and big endorsement. That must be why we see so little of his campaign. Its all word of mouth.

I doubt anyone endorsing the others would object to Jeff.

Its a loss to us as he can not run for both Assembly and Senate. Jeff Fitzgerald held off danger and threats in the line of fire and passed all the reforms like education, taxes, abortion funds that Walker signed.

I do not want him to go. Jeff should be invited to speak at the next RS G45

The Madison/Milwaukee liberals will be preoccupied with their competitive local and county elections. WOW and out-staters will probably vote Tommy, but I doubt there is enough of them to sway the election.
