If Trump wants to rely on his positions in 2003, the rest of us should too. He made it fair game last night.
In 2003, Donald Trump was a bleeding heart liberal Democrat. He supported Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). He supported the Clintons. He supported amnesty. He supported universal health care. He supported abortion rights.
For months, Trump supporters have said that was all irrelevant. It did not matter. It was the past. Trump has changed and though he changes wives every few years he will no longer change his positions.
Last night Donald Trump decided he wanted to rely on his position in 2003 on the Iraq War. Here is the transcript.
TRUMP: (inaudible) I’m — and I’m meeting with people that are terrific people, but I have to say something because it’s about judgment.
I am the only person on this dais — the only person — that fought very, very hard against us (ph), and I wasn’t a sitting politician going into Iraq, because I said going into Iraq — that was in 2003, you can check it out, check out — I’ll give you 25 different stories.
By the way, can we please get those 25 different stories because I cannot find any. Anybody? Anybody?
