I Know It’s Not As *Sexy* As DE, But There’s A Primary Today In NH Too

My Grandmother always used to tell me that if I didn’t have anything nice to say, then I should say nothing at all. Inre: DE, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Or…as Forrest Gump would say… “that’s all I got to say about that.”

On the other hand, there’s an interesting phenomenon going on in NH…Ovide (as Erick pointed out earlier) is catching up. Magellan has him down 4 and PPP has him down 7. Not being reported much is that NH polled in the 40s as “undecided” until these latest polling rounds. Ayotte hasn’t “lost” voters, so a safe bet here is that the undecideds are committing now, and most of them are going to Ovide. I’m an amateur at this, so I’m prepared to be proven wrong.

This same poll goes on to suggest that John Stephen has the GOP nod for Governor all sewn up. But, interestingly, it indicates that about half of us do NOT consider ourselves Tea Partiers, half think we are “just about right” for how Conservative we think we are…and about half don’t give a rip about Sarah Palin one way or the other.

Poll results as they come in tonight can be found HERE for the Ayotte/LaMontagne showdown, HERE for the Guinta, Mahoney, Ashooh, Bearse, Bestani, Kohlhofer, Parent and Rondeau faceoff in NH-1 and the Bass, Guida, Horn, Reilly and Sonner fight for NH-2.

Can we all say a prayer there are no recounts anywhere…especially a couple states south of me? PLEASE? Amen.

PS-The NH Secretary of State elections website is here if you care.

I’m rooting for Lamontagne in NH and for Castle in DE. I know that woul make a RINO to some people but I’m a republican first. I want the GOP in power, those who want to die “for principles” the only ideology that they’re helping is the socialist agenda of Barack Obama then who are the RINOs in this war?

I’m a Republican too. Always have been. But, I’m a Conservative first. Conservative in the primary Republican in the general. Out of respect for Dave I won’t mention that other race and I would ask you to do the same. There is no lack of posts both today and yesterday if you wish to speak about it. We can agree on one thing: Go Lamontagne!

  • empiphis

    …”that would make a Rino”

if I was to glance over your shoulder and you lived in both congressional districts–what would have I saw? In other words who did you vote for and who in the other congressional seat would you have voted for?

Lamontagne is also a solid candidate, but I like the fact that Ayotte has been under the attack of Binnie, Hodes and Lamontagne for months and is still doing well. Quality candidate from an electoral perspective; I’m expecting her to run away with this election quickly if she wins the nomination.

I wouldn’t mind Lamontagne, but he’s more untested. Makes me nervous. It’d be a disgrace to give the Dems an opportunity to a pick-up.

Charlie Bass beats Horn. I’m not sure this is a good thing, Bass seems to be lacking a big deal of energy. The Dems will nominate the far-left candidate, so winning this seat should be doable.

In NH-01, I’m expecting Guinta and Mahoney to basically tie. Guinta would have better chances in the GE.

    Only 6.3% reporting…but still.

    • cordpt

      That’s where Lamontagne is from.

Around 1.00 AM Rick Ashooh called Frank Guinta to concede. It is Frank Guinta vs Carol Shea Porter in November.

Another RINO in NH that won!!

Too bad Ashooh didn’t have enough courage to even once call Guinta out for this:
