Thanking Democrat Ambition For Giving The Win To O’Donnell In Delaware

Hell hath no fury...

A friend suggested tonight, in light of the story published anonymously (and in exceedingly poor taste) about a bawdy night with Christine O’Donnell (allegedly), that Democrats just can’t help themselves. I agree.

I’ll not offer the link here, in the name of good taste, but Google is your friend and it won’t be very difficult to find these allegations. More importantly, spend a little time reading beyond the original trainwreck itself; many many people are not impressed, and a dramatically large number of them are women.

To name a few:

Via The Daily Caller:
NOW defends Christine O’Donnell against Gawker’s “slut-shaming”

Via Michelle Malkin:
The Gawker smear machine: A refresher course

Via The Huffington Post:
O’Donnell’s “Hook-Up:” Gawker’s in the Wrong

Via POWIP:
Gawker’s Christine O’Donnell Hit Piece

Via JoshuaPundit:
The Democrats Create A New Low; ‘I Had a One-Night Stand With Christine O’Donnell’

There are more, but you get the idea. There’s something not being said though, that I can’t help but noticing and passing along here…this childishness (and blatant disregard for the very privacy they rail from the rooftops every day to defend) is going to have the reverse effect of that which was intended…and it is going to help guarantee the very thing they are high five-ing themselves right now thinking they have prevented; Christine O’Donnell is sure to win this election now, after today’s events.

Having been down by as many as 20 points or better, Rasmussen recently had O’Donnell somewhere within 11 points of Coons. More recently, an internal poll, published by the HillBuzz, suggests she might be as close as 5. Whatever the MoE is for the poll almost doesn’t even matter; Democrats are losing women in droves this cycle. Obama has even had to send the Missus out there to beg women not to leave him. Even worse for the Democrats…especially after today’s disaster…many of the women were planning to stay home out of anger, frustration, and an overall lack of enthusiasm…now, they’re going to come back to the polls with a vengeance-and it’s Liberal heads they’ll be coming after.

As the O’Donnell camp’s official response points out:

“From Secretary Clinton, to Governor Palin, to soon-to-be Governor Haley, Christine’s political opponents have been willing to engage in appalling and baseless attacks — all with the aim of distracting the press from covering the real issues in this race,” said O’Donnell spokesman Doug Sachletben.
[snip]
In its statement released Thursday night, her campaign also pointed out that the National Organization for Women condemned the piece. “NOW repudiates Gawker’s decision to run this piece. It operates as public sexual harassment,” said NOW president Terry O’Neill. “And like all sexual harassment, it targets not only O’Donnell, but all women contemplating stepping into the public sphere.”

While exactly right, this statement is missing the follow-on sentence: “Democrats have pretended to champion women’s issues for generations, and never have they shown more contempt for Women than they do here, tonight, with this offense against the whole of the gender and everything we’ve been fighting for our entire lives.”

O’Donnell has been bloodied and cleaved in this campaign over everything BUT what she stands for and what she means to do when she gets to Washington. This foolishness tonight only solidifies what some of us already knew; she’s a threat to them, and now that they realize they’re about to lose to her all the same, they’re getting desperate like the Frat freshmen a lot of us have always known them to be.

Trouble is, they’ve pee-ohed the wrong demographic.

[update: my comment at the offending site has been been blocked by the offending site's Admins. All I said was "thanks for giving O'Donnell the win", and suggested they might not have thought this one through all that well. Where's the harm in that? I was nice about it, and I didn't even swear!]

A friendly gentleman’s wager seems in order.

Now, certainly The Gawker is a despicable site which regularly acts despicably, as you might expect, and no less so in this case.

However, you misinterpret Rasmussen, who alone among pollsters has had the race at this same level in every poll he’s taken since August. So he is not in fact showing any closing of the race at all.

Should this seat be the one which costs us control of the Senate, every leftist judge who gets seated because Judiciary Chairman Leahy pushes them through when Chairman Sessions would have held them up is on those who gave away the seat for spite, or whatever ignoble principle they ignorantly thought they were serving.

Maybe it won’t matter, because maybe it won’t be that close. But it might have, and it still could. Stupid is as stupid does.

    • http://www.hickpolitics.com Dave Poff (haystack)

Castle had never lost…he couldn’t be beat…it was his race to lose. And yet, here we are…O’Donnell won, by the will of the voters.

Castle would have been no better than Coons-accept that. There are more things in play in this country than scraps from the tables of committee tables…many more things.

And besides, leadership isn’t defined by how well things get held up…ask Reid…and please think bigger.

      • powertothepeople

but he is too stupid to listen. He is one of these idiots that plays both sides of the field. If she wins, he has said just enough in favor of her winning that he can come back and act as if he is celebrating. But if she looses, he will have the “I told you so” line to play. He/she will burn their own bridge and we can go back to having folks that do not cry over spilled milk.

        • http://www.hickpolitics.com Dave Poff (haystack)

          .

      • ffc99

you’re being a bit misleading when discussing the polling in Delaware. There has been absolutely no movement in the polls toward Ms. O’Donnell. Rasmussen has shown no momentum in her direction (as Adjoran correctly pointed out). The most recent poll from Farleigh Dickinson released today actually shows Coons increasing his lead.

        • http://www.hickpolitics.com Dave Poff (haystack)

I said the hillbuzz reported on an internal…I never said Ras was at 5

          http://hillbuzz.org/2010/10/26/democrats-at-defcon-1-is-christine-odonnell-now-leading-in-internals/

It’s an internal, it’s flawed, it’s only one poll…but there are lots of things the big polls don’t necessarily catch-and any shift from nonsense like today will not catch in the polls between now and Tuesday.

Besides-this is war, right? The Dems can use a single outlier and scream that the GOP is falling behind…who says we can’t use one to say she’s going to pull it off?

If it gets her 1000 more votes, I won’t feel guilty…and however dirty I might feel-well-there’s showers for that :)

I give you credit for making a public call, it is harder than catcalls from the popcorn gallery.

    • philipjames

Adjoran, if you are so concerned about this seat, were you going after Karl Rove for trashing O’Donnell AFTER she won the primary because he had a hissy fit. After he tried to mess with the Tea Party people, telling them to dump Christine and go with his guy Castle, and they told him to go do himself and he said he already had and it wasn’t very good.
How much encouragement have you given in support of Christine so she would have a chance to win? Or, are you one of those Republicans that likes the butt kissing and corruption in the Delaware Republican Party? Are you more comfortable with that, a Karl Rove kind of guy?

    • Doc Holliday
    • Finrod

If there’s any late momentum, Rasmussen hasn’t seen it, because Rasmussen hasn’t been polling there lately.

I think Rasmussen is the gold standard in polling, but Rasmussen can’t see movement he doesn’t poll.

“Should this seat be the one which costs us control of the Senate, every leftist judge who gets seated because Judiciary Chairman Leahy pushes them through when Chairman Sessions”

Adjoran, what about all the leftist judges who’ve been seated by the RINO elites both when the Congress has been in Republican control and in conjunction with the RATs. I’d say you’ve got a huge problem there in your theory and warnings to us…

RINO Castle is GONE. Victory. On to greater Conservative victories in 4 days and in 2012.

O’donnell = the one that will hurt the Dems, MSM, and establishment R’s the most.

Angle = the one we have to win at this point above all others. We fought too hard for too long to lose it.

Boxer – the person we SHOULD have spent the most time and money on. Removing Boxer would have done more to actually improve the Senate than the removal of any other candidate.

      • powertothepeople

but I also think Carly will pull it off in CA. I just have this gut feeling that CA will have a moment of clarity in this election and rid this country of Boxer and Brown.

        • Doc Holliday

I have kind of given up on Californians achieving a moment of clarity.

          • nancylee

And I live in California. I am praying fervently that we don’t get Jerry Brown as Governor. I was here when he was Governor the last time. He was called Governor Moonbeam for a good reason. I think he lived on the Moon and only came to Sacramento when he had a particularly destructive idea. Unfortunately, he had a lot of those, and California is in bad enough shape as it is. The last thing we need is a lunatic for our Governor. Again.

        • powertothepeople

It was the (dirty word) choice of the (dirty word) people. What the hell is wrong with all you so called conservatives calling the peoples choice a mistake. They had a right to vote for who they wanted to represent them and it was no mistake.

The mistake was made by a ton of idiots like you that instead of coming behind her to support her so that she could beat a dem, you sat around whining about how she could not win and acting as if she is the worst thing to ever run on a republican ticket. You sent no money, you donated no time, yet you could not even be decent enough to keep your trap shut so the rest of us could do our best to get her elected.

The dems do not have to work hard to beat us, the idiots on our side will use their mouths to help the dems win.

          • nancylee

That I very much want to see. I was furious at Karl Rove having a hissy fit on Hannity’s show the night O’Donnell won her primary. Who gave him the right to tell us that she was a terrible candidate and that a candyas* RINO was the better choice? All the Republicans’ RINO worship was part of the reason we’re in this mess in the first place.

            *no pun intended.

          • edintexas

Rove has something against real Conservatives, as opposed to the “kinder and gentler” kind he worked for.

Why FNC has him on the payroll is a mystery to me. I suppose they just had to have another DC insider Republican to trash both the Democrats and Conservative Republicans for “balance”.

          • hippiessmell

Rove is a big government Republican. He doesn’t like Palin or O’Donnell because they are capital C Conservatives.

But more than that, I think he doesn’t like them because he likes to think of himself as the reincarnation of Lee Atwater and he hates Palin and O’Donnell for rising to prominence without his political backing; in many ways they came to power in spite of his backing. In his mind, he’s the chief Republican king (or queen) maker and DOOM on anyone he does not approve for promotion.

          • hippiessmell

I’m as happy to get rid of Castle as you are, but that is a seriously flawed argument. The reason our government is (supposed to be) a republic instead of a pure democracy is because “the people” don’t always make the best choice. There’s a reason Republicans do better when there’s lower turnout: the idiots stay home. I’m not saying O’Donnell was the wrong choice here, I’m just saying that argument is bad. Especially in light of the 2008 election results.

          • powertothepeople

People have a right to vote, we have a right to vote in droves and keep their stupidity at a minimum.

So going on that it was not a mistake he was elected. The people spoke. We do not like him or his agenda, but it was the will of the people that he become president. And the blame for his win falls 100% on our shoulders. We chose for years to keep electing crappy republicans, we chose for years no to get them in check, we chose to not be motivated, we chose to not hit the streets for votes, so it is our fault.

In this country, we do not get to remove those who are voted in just because we do not like them. If that was the case, no one would stay in office for more than a day. So while he has been a total screw up, he is the will of the people, so no mistake. In fact, he is somewhat of a blessing. The wave of conservatism would not have happened had McCain won. He won, he awoke a sleeping giant, and things for the first time in many years, will head the right way.

          • The_Gadfly

They lied by covering up the facts about Back Seat Obama and sliming John McCain as much as possible. If they had done their job fairly we wouldn’t have The Big 0 now. We expect the candidates to lie, it’s in their nature. The LSM is supposed to expose the lies.

          • powertothepeople

should have added that to the list as well!

          • The_Gadfly

My mantra line by the end of the campaign season was that for the first time in my life I was going to vote for the democrat in the race but at least he’d have an ‘R’ behind is name on the ballot.

Like it or not McCain was Obama-lite and by painting in pale shades of pastel instead of bold colors like Reagan did, he lost the most important election of my lifetime. When he got lucky and picked Sarah Palin as a running mate, he also quickly realized she was a better politician than he was, and proceeded to undermine her by setting her up with the Katie Kouric interview and prepping her the wrong way for the interview.

All that combined with the LSM lies and obfuscations thwarted the will of the people because there was no one there who actually represented them.

          • jeffreywturner

The fact that you would call me an idiot when you have never met me says more about you than it does about me.

I would call you a name but then I would be stooping to your level.

Now let’s see if you have the decency to apologize, or if you expose yourself further by escalating this.

God Bless you and have a lovely night.

          • powertothepeople

and while you are doing that, let me define what I meant.

Political Idiot: A person who rather than working for a complete republican victory instead constantly makes snide remarks about certain candidates who are in tough battles and who seem to be constantly attacked by their own. Days before an election you will usually see these idiots posting on major blogs about how the candidates legal election due to the people of that state being tired of RINOS and liberal democrats are mistakes, going to cause the whole conservative movement to fail, and should not be supported by the rest of us. They usually cover both sides of their ass with hidden comments about they hope the person wins but always has to add a bigger negative comment along with it. They do this so that if the person wins, they can claim to be excited and that they deep down knew the person would win but also so that if the person does not win, they can come back and say “I told you so.”

Now, go back and read your pathetic post that was your way of attacking a candidate that won the peoples votes, look at the definition of idiot I just posted, then sit back and realize you fit that mold perfectly. Then keep holding your breath waiting for an apology.

Now that is escalating wouldn’t you say? God I love the truth!

Now since you threw in the cliche God bless you so you could feel exonerated in the whole matter, would it not be more appropriate, since I assume you claim to be on our side, to state the God bless you and may he help you win to O’Donnell rather than the backstabbing BS you posted?

            Blue yet?

          • jeffreywturner

            Like I thought.

By the way, you simply referred to me as an idiot with no qualifier. You can try to explain it all you want now, but you can’t change the fact that you did.

I have never met you, and perhaps where you are from, it is acceptable to insult people you have never met or know nothing about. That is fine and is certainly your right.

I could pray for God to bless you with some manners, but for now, I’ll leave it at:

            God Bless You.

          • powertothepeople

figured you would be smart enough to know why I called you an idiot considering this is a site dedicated to the republican/conservative cause and by you posting negative BS about a seat we need would automatically define you as an idiot.

But who in the world would expect an idiot to know they are an idiot much less why they are an idiot. Guess I was giving you too much credit.

By the way, before you worry about praying for my manners, how about you pull the plank from your eye, figure out why you should not trash needed candidate, and pray that God sees reason to aide you out of the mental idiocy that rules you at this point and grants you some wisdom.

By the way, since you seem to want to keep repeating silliness, people do not need to know a person to know they are an idiot or not. See, you typed nonsense on here which was confronted by numerous people. Your words give us insight into your IQ and idiot status. Your inability to follow house rules (we do not speak ill of republicans who have won the primary and are trying to kick a dem out of a seat) is yet another tool we use to be able to understand who you are. It tends to be pretty accurate. Most of us in here do not know Obama personally but we all know he is an idiot. Same applies to you. You come to a site that promotes republicans days before O’Donnell is going to fight her hardest battle to date. You trash her calling her election a mistake which would equate, in your opinion, to all of her states voters to being fools who made a mistake. That makes you an idiot and a troll. pretty simple math there bub!

I know how to follow rules, because I chose to not break the respectful rule or language rule, I simply stated truth instead of saying what needs to be said to you and others like you. It is why so many on here when calling you out on your posts also chose not to say what should have been said. But even you can read between the lines and know what is on our minds.

          • jeffreywturner

I don’t know what has enraged you to the point of spewing such venom towards others, but I am terribly sorry for whatever has happened to you. I always try to disagree agreeably, but you clearly have no interest in doing so. You may convince yourself that I have caused your anger with my “idiocy”, but such claims are merely deflections. There is clearly something deep inside you causing such anger, and I can not resolve it for you. I do know of someone who can though, and he never fails. In fact, one of the names by which he is known is “Wonderful Counselor”. Please contact me privately if you would like to know more. I have used my real name as my handle for more than 5 years here, so you can find me on any of the social media sites.

Let me give you a few reasons why they are desperate

    - Chrysler plant closed, soon to be reopened as a University of Delaware theme park. Meaning no disrespect to the blue hens, but how many blue collar, high paying union jobs will be there when the construction is over? How many UAW workers will this project employ?

    - Ditto, GM plant that may someday be converted to build an electric car to compete with GM’s volt. Any union auto worker in Delaware that believes deserves what the democrats did to them.

    – Financial regulations have stupefied the banking industry. They OTHER big Delaware employer. Families are seeing a double whammy, good paying union and non-union blue collar jobs are being lost, and so are the jobs in the financial industries. Mom and Dad are both suffering if they are employed.

-On Coons watch property taxes have about doubled in New Castle county. All at a time when many families are already struggling to make there mortgage because of the income loss.

So, lets see, after sending there favored son, Joe Biden to Washington to speak on their behalf the democrats destroyed the UAW, along with the retail, services and non-union blue collar jobs that supported these manufacturing facilities. That pretty well alienates any honest blue collar workers, including union blue collar workers. They have destroyed the opportunities in the financial sector. That alienates the white collar workers. They have balanced the budget by raising taxes at a time when every household is cutting expenses. That alienates the families and home owners.

The truth is, if Chris Coons were to run on the record of the democrats, he would be lucky he isn’t tarred and feathered.

No one is talking about this, but on the merits of what the Democrats have done to Delaware, with Joe Biden leading the way, Delaware voters are pissed. They gave up a lot to help the Democrats win and put Obama in the White House.

It is an understatement to say that they expected more

I’d been waiting all day, wondering what would be the dirty trick/october surprise rolled out at the traditional time: the Thursday before the election.

    Nuthin’

…except this O’Donnell rumor, which is…well, let’s just say its not all that impressive. The point of dirty tricks and october surprises is to move the polls in your direction — not unite the entire left and right blogosphere, AND the mainstream media, in disgust at your juvenile and transparent desperation.

I do not care who she shares her bed with, period.

Had she been married, then it would bring in question her morality which could translate into her courage to stand up against what is wrong in Congress. But she is single, and while I do not agree with casual sex, I am not her God, her conscience, or her father.

What amazes me is the hypocrisy of the left. They will bang who they wish, then turn around and wag fingers at people based on unsubstantiated claims. I am a Christian and would love to have Congress filled with men and women who are strong conservative Christians, but being a Christian or not being one does not factor in on my decision on who to vote for. So going on that, even if she slept with this guy or tried to, it matters little to me and it should not matter to anyone else as well. We all have the skeletons in our closet so who are we to get all pissy about a claimed mistake on her part.

Telling you it is time to get just as dirty with the left. Find their closets and dig through them. Guaranteed you will find many times more the scandals in that godless bunch then you will ever find on the right. And it is time for Ladies like O’Donnell and Hailey to get on the attack and get in these scumbags faces, They are cowards who do not even have the balls to make their claims with their own names. These ladies would trash these “men” if they simply went on the offensive.

Maybe O’Donnell should come out and say that she did get to drunk that night which was a stupid mistake, did come on to him which was another huge mistake, but he could not “rise” to the occasion because his attraction laid with the men. Let him beat off a rumor for a little while.

    • edintexas

She was a single woman, engaging in activities with a single man – and those activities were – by the slimeball’s own admission – consistent with O’Donnell’s current portrayal of her own beliefs.

Basically, this was a (completely non-revelatory, unsubstantiated) “kiss-and-tell” account that would be roundly condemned by the far reaches of the hypocritical left, if the subject had been a liberal woman, rather than a conservative woman.

O’Donnell’s response should be nothing more than, “I’m sorry, but I have more important things to attend to, and more important issues to address. I’ll have no comment on that.”

      • powertothepeople

which is a safe assumption going on what you posted, go back and read the first part and you will see where I clearly state that I do not care who she slept with (very first line) and its not my business nor the business of anyone else. (third paragraph last few lines)

The final line was snark, not a real suggestion. Learn the difference please!

        • chipbennett

          …no need for friendly fire!

That comment was less directed at you, so much as it was directed at the rest of the world – primarily, the hypocritical, liberal media – who expect some sort of response from her, or for her to explain how the account doesn’t somehow demonstrate some form of hypocrisy on her part (or whatever explanation they claim to want).

          • powertothepeople

misunderstood your meaning as it seemed to be written in a way that was letting me know she had nothing to explain, it was none of my business, instead of seeing that is also what I wrote.

            Again, my fault!

In Delaware, as some of you know, there are three counties in this massive state. The northern county is New Castle County where Democrats reign.
However in the two southern counties, Kent and Sussex the Republicans reign. The problem is, that even with less population, Kent and Sussex Countians are more fervent about their politics and now have a drive to turn out 75% of the vote to defeat that northern Marxist Chris Coons.
Well, What are you talking about 75% is impossible. You guys are crazy.
The answer is; we weren’t so crazy in the primary when we beat Mike Castle with an unprecedented turn-out in both southern counties.
I say that O’Donnell has successfully ousted Bill Clinton as “The Come Back Kid.”
Hide and Watch, while we accomplish the impossible. Thank you Redstate for supporting us and helping take back what is perhaps one of the most democratic states in the east.

when it comes to their own victim groups, they will use the N word when Blacks leave the room, they will use every derogatory word in the human language when Women leave the room and well, you can guess the language they use for Hispanics. Those Whites on the leftside of the divide TRULY believe that they are superior to those groups they LIE to and throw money at and they will keep them on that plantation as long as they are willing to not run away. You think if women leave the D Party in droves this election that Obama will do anything for them? LOL!

    • blooch

If Obama thinks the PUMA’s went away after 2008, maybe this will tear a new hole in his cocoon:

      http://hillbuzz.org/2010/10/27/an-open-letter-to-rush-limbaugh-and-his-listeners/

The jackasses may forget, but the elephants remember, and it turns out that pumas hold a pretty long grudge, too. It’s a jungle out there, Barry.

The sleaze machine will need an overhaul after Tuesday, because it’s gonna have to run non-stop for the next two years. And BTW, Barry…keeping your enemy closer at SOS may soon be inoperative. It’s not just about Hillary with the PUMA’s.

      As acat would say….meow.

  • smitch61

The dem’s do not go out in droves in DE, Christine will win. It has always been the case. My husband and I have friends there who have said all along she will win this seat. She has democrat and Independents actively working her campaign, and according to our friends they are all letting the pollsters know they are voting for Coons. They are playing this game right back at em. Karl Rove will be eating crow on Nov. 3rd. He did more damage to her than anybody. And that.. is from an inside source who lives there.

    • janis

crow that Rove needs to eat stuffed with a decaying rat? We owe him lots from the Bush years as well, and I’d personally like to see him get his just “desserts” for that as well as this.

If you can figure out how to get it to him, I’ll supply the rat personally.

She has some rather pointed words for you after what she found there, e………….Ignore the clothespin on her nose while she says them. :-)

    • suzyq

I sure hope your right. If she actually pulls this off I’ll be like a kid on Christmas and won’t be able to sleep all night!

    • chipbennett

I was one who said that I hoped Castle won the primary, because I didn’t think Delaware would elect someone as conservative as O’Donnell. If she wins, I will happily eat crow for that opinion.

In fact, I’ll post a diary, and ask Neil or someone to front-page it, as a gathering place for all of us who doubted her campaign.

I still don’t see any signs in the polling data that she’s within striking distance; but that said, I don’t think anybody is accurately modeling the likely voter turnout this year. I’m even starting to doubt Rasmussen’s accuracy in predicting what will be an entirely unprecedented wave.

So, who knows? I’ll at least hold out hope for a pleasant surprise awaiting me when I get home from working the polls Tuesday!

      • congressworksforus

Gallup may be closer than anyone realizes, except I think “high turnout” will be even better for us because it means people are PO’d !

  • aravis

I think this 7th grade trick will get the conservative female vote out. Go Christine!

  • tngal

Hundreds to testify at upcoming congresisonal hearings. Film at 11:00.

In the lighter side of news…No truth to the vague rumor that an errant ballot in Arizona was premarked before the voter entered the booth. Unioin officials who are closely monitoring the polls call it an isolated incident, and blame the lone voter’s delusion on bedbugs. Hah. Silly voter. Back to you Jeffrey.

  • rdelbov

has been slow to rally to Christine perhaps this vicious attack will help. I mean the GOP voters-the official party has been on her side. In fact Jim DeMint has give +150K to the Delaware party to coordinate a GOTV effort for Christine and the congressional house candidate in that state.

The attacks on Chrsitine has been hideous in my opinion. Huge double standard

    • congressworksforus

Look at the polling in the House race in DE. Only 7 points today. Was well into double digits before.

I suspect this Senate race is one where people will go into the polls planning on voting for the other guy, and then vote for O’Donnell…

  • http://theminorityreportblog.com Repair_Man_Jack

The Gawker story has an internal inconsistency that strongly suggests this whole matter was fabricated. Allegedly this incident happened three years on Halloween night , a Wednesday. That would make the year 2007. Yet photo #9 shows Ms. O’Donnell standing in front of an Eagles poster commemorating their 75th year in existence. The Philadelphia Eagles were founded in 1933 and their 75th Anniversary would have been in 2008. Halloween,in 2008, occurred on a Friday, not a Wednesday. Therefore the photo was taken two years ago and not three years ago as Gawker claimed. If the author lied about the year , what else is he lying about?

    – HT: Commentator ejhickey.

    • Finrod

Their 75th year would be 2007. Look at it this way: 1933 is their first year, so 1943 would be their 11th year, not their 10th. Simple fencepost error.

  • proudmarinemom

is dumb. I know Malkin and others have chided NOW for not denouncing loudly or quickly enough this non-story on some trash blog I’d never heard of before. I’m sure some women are outraged that a female candidate had her reputation compromised (sort of). And it may be true that conservative women of Delaware will don their Suffragette sashes, like Mrs. Banks in the Mary Poppins movie, and march arm-in-arm to the polls in solidarity against misogyny. I doubt it.

I donated to O’Donnell because she is a fiscal conservative who will help stop Obama’s obsession with destroying the economy, not becasue she is a woman. I couldn’t give a rat’s rear end what she does in private, if she is married, single, lesbian. I don’t care. I don’t think the article was misogynistic. The same story about a male candidate would be just as boring to me.

I hope O’Donnell wins, but I want her to win because people wake up and decide to stop Obama, nothing more.

  • Viator

I just watched yesterday’s O’Donnell interview with Hannity. As with her past speeches and interviews I have seen I was very impressed with her demeanor, discipline and camera friendly ambiance. Nowhere have I seen the caricature Christine. This race might surprise some people. If she is so lame and running such a bad race why are they throwing everything including the kitchen sink at her?

  • defenderofliberty

You Castle RINO whiners, along with Palin/O’Donnell basher Rove are THE problem, not part of the solution. O’Donnell is not an elitist genius (thank God), but she is a true patriot and defender of the Constitution (the basis of all that defines America from the rest of the world). Castle, Rove, and O’Donnell “critics” show their true view of the Constitution and the Founders’ vision. You might as well hand Obama and his Marxist minions the keys to the National Archives and let them shred the actual documents. All real conservatives are ashamed of RINOs and their “supporters.”

  • bcourt17

According o Monmouth Poll it is 51-41. I believe she is going to pull it off.

    • tngal

scrutinize the figures. I thought the best line in their recap was..

” O?Donnell has also made gains among independent voters, now leading Coons 47% to 42% among this voting bloc. Two weeks ago, she trailed in the independent vote by 51% to 41%.”

Also noticed over 600 respondents were over 60 years old while 200 were
18-44 and just under 350 go 45-59. Is that really the proportion of DE voters? Shouldn’t there be more of the middle group?

Be nice if the blowback from gawker would push her over the top.

From 19 to 10 – and this is poll to poll. More impressive:
“O’Donnell has also made gains among independent voters, now leading Coons 47% to 42% among this voting bloc. Two weeks ago, she trailed in the independent vote by 51% to 41%.”

  • simba

But It is difficult to see how she achieves this win. She is very much down on poll and the mainstream media is not letting up on helping Coons by constantly beating her up. Not that O’Donell did not freely provided plenty of ammunition by appearing on Bill Maher’s crazy shows.

what would be sweet would be both of the ladies meeting in the middle of the Congress right as Obama is getting ready to welcome the new members, and toasting their wins by clinking their pale ale bottles together.

But to answer your question, it is a tough one.

On the one side, O”Donnell winning after all she has been put through would be a great victory, but

I still think Reid is the most irritating and dangerous democrat in office and seeing him walking the walk of shame would make my year.

So While I think both will win, the sweeter of the two contests would be Angle.

But the race I most want to see a republican win is in CA. I will celebrate for the next two years if I see “call me senator” Boxer on the unemployment line. Boxer loosing will be the biggest kick in the balls to Obama and the democrats of any race.

So maybe I will get lucky and Angle, O’Donnell, and Carly will all clink their Samuel Adams bottle together in Obama’s face.

      • redtillimdead

Does not drink. But, I agree with your message. I would rather Carly win than Angle or O’Donnell. Boxer is terrible. Carly is great. She has stuck to her principals even in a blue state, same for O’Donnell.

  • Kevin Barbour

Where’s Obama this weekend?…In Delaware…campaigning for the Marxist Coons…Hey Hussein…I thought O’Donnell was an idiot and had no shot…Why are you wasting your time in Delaware this weekend>…where you going next?…to campaign for Pelosi in San Franicsco?..bAwawawawawa

  • silentcalrox

this would be a sweet one to grab! she seems very articulate, and up to the issues. regardless of outcome, we haven’t lost anything here. mike castle is a spineless rino. if she loses, i’d get her back on the ballot in 2 years, coons is weak, but the media has attempted to destroy odonnell. revenge would be sweet here.

    good luck on tuesday!!
