Has there ever been a President who has enjoyed a nearly eight year honeymoon with the media, outside of President Obama? For him to whine about the lack of tough media coverage is like Donald Trump whining about the lack of media coverage at all. P
Here is what the President had to say:
"A job well done is about more than just handing someone a microphone," Obama said at a journalism award dinner in Washington Monday night. "It is to probe and to question and to dig deeper and to demand more. The electorate would be better served if that happened. It would be better served if billions of dollars in free media came with serious accountability. Especially when politicians issue unworkable plans or make promises they can't keep."
Promises they can't keep? Like saying ocean levels will fall if they're elected? Wonder what joker promised that?
In addition to being the poster boy for easygoing media coverage, the President showed what kind of contempt he had for the press once he got into office.
On that front, Jake Tapper was having none of it and proceeded to call out Obama as a hypocrite. Watch:
It's just a shame that the majority of the media rolled over and played dead for the last 7.5 years.
