Poll: Trump Gains 8 Points On Hillary In Michigan

In what is showing to be a theme that is starting in rust belt states, Donald Trump is making a late move on Hillary Clinton. Three recent polls in Ohio show Trump with a lead and now a new poll out of Michigan show Trump is moving up there.

And fast.

From The Detroit Free Press:

A month after it appeared the race for president in Michigan might be all but over, Republican Donald Trump has cut deeply into Democrat Hillary Clinton’s post-convention lead, with an exclusive new Free Press/WXYZ-TV poll showing Trump has moved closer to tying Clinton in a state that hasn’t backed a Republican nominee since 1988.

Clinton, whose lead in some national polls also has disappeared lately after a successful convention this summer in Philadelphia, still leads Trump 38%-35% in Michigan, according to the poll done by Lansing-based EPIC-MRA for the Free Press, WXYZ-TV  (Channel 7) and their outstate partners. But that is within the poll’s 4-percentage-point margin of error, and a significant drop from her 11-point lead last month.

She had an ELEVEN POINT lead last month.

As I said in my post from this morning, these polls are not indicators of who will win, but snapshots in time. Still, when you start putting these polls together, they start to form a trend. And right now, the latest trend for Hillary is not good.
