Hillary Clinton Questions Congress’s Patriotism Over Libya

As the two houses of Congress debate resolutions that run the gamut from authorizing and limiting President Obama’s Libya action to defunding the Libya war altogether, and as the NATO begins to complement its ineffectiveness with internal discord, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is questioning her former legislative colleagues’ patriotism.

Who’s side are you on?she demanded today, lashing out at Congress while on an official visit to Jamaica.  According to the AP report, “Clinton says Congress is free to raise objections but questions the priorities of the critics. She says the Obama administration and its partners are rightly siding with the Libyan people.”

This is just another example of this administration’s poor communication skills and inability to defend its decisions and actions on their own merits, rather than resorting to straw men and over declarations of ill intent on the part of their opponents.  In other words, this is just another example of the Obama administration’s status as the embodiment of the left’s caricature of George W. Bush.

Final question: What happened to the then-Senator from New York’s shrill, screeching declaration that “I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic.  We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!!”?

Apparently that position had an expiration date of 1/20/20082009.  How typical.

Who once shrieked about being tired of being called unpatriotic for disagreeing with the Bush administration over foreign policy?

?Who?s side are you on?? . God Bless America , Protect us and guide us though the rutterless leadership we will be addressing the next 18 months. Amen.

Someone should ask her the same question. Whose side ARE we on when we can’t even identify whether or not the Libyan Insurgency is being run by Al-Qaida?

The ease with which these clowns reverse themselves would shake a mental health professional. The seriousness with which they do it suggests a mind tethered to an out of control emotional state, a raw, primal condition. You could say they’re freaks. Why don’t we ?

I’m sorry, but I believe she is suppose to be serving the Citizen’s and Interests of the United States Citizens.. Am I wrong?

the interests if the internationalist elites who know so much better than the rest of us what is needed in the whole world. We are so dumb that we don’t even recognize their innate superiority and their right and destiny to rule without question or criticism. How dare we question her! We should bow down and kiss her feet that she has deigned to accept such a low paying job in order to help us come under the absolute direction of those who are our social, intellectual, and political betters.
At least, that’s what they think.

I can remember this rhetoric coming from another side, and Clinton’s rhetoric suspiciously reminds me of that coming from another group of people.

As to whose side I’m on, Mrs Clinton, the same one I’ve always been on: that of American interests, none of which are furthered by our badly handled “kinetic action” in Libya.

  • glaucon

Like her husband’s war in Kosovo, it appears that the Clinton’s are consistently on the side of Muslim revolutionaries.

Correct Answer: That is EXACTLY what the President should have explained to BEFORE he started killing people, and we are still trying to get that information from him.

So in this war Hillary, who’s side are we on? We should be on the American’s side. If there isn’t a clear cut side that signficantly benefits the American people through peace or prosperity, maybe we shouldn’t take any side at all. We certainly shouldn’t be risking our American troops or spending our scarce American dollars until the President makes it clear what our objectives are and who’s side he is on?

Just being on the Rebel’s side doesn’t make it a cause that American can or should support.

      to R2C.

      R2P = Responsibility to Protect

R2C = Responsibility to Control — they believe they have a responsibility to control everyone who isn’t them (in the whole world)!

They believe they have to get rid of Qa-Daffy because they have not been able to control him. Once they get rid of him they think they can control his successor better. And, thereby control all the people in Libya, and eventually Yemen and Egypt and the whole Middle East.
In fact, they are so full of themselves they actually believe they can be in control of even the Muslim terrorists who hate us so blindly that they will never allow us to even exist once they have the power to exterminate us. And, since she is a shrill female who dares to wear ” a man’s clothing” (pants suits) and hold “a man’s job”, she will be one of the first to go. Obama will be second because they view him as a traitor for claiming to be a Christian after being raised as a Muslim. These people do not realize how deep the radical Muslims hate us and everything about us, and that their seeming willingness to negotiate is only a trick to lull us into complacency until they are strong enough to obliterate us. And, even if the vast majority of Muslims in the world are moderate, and willing to let us live, the radicals are not, and they never will be!

close to deciding whether to run against “O” and trying to sound presidential. The closer primaries get the more she will ramp up if she’s going to challenge.

  • gumbeaux

That’s fine remark Hillary made. She has about as much patriotism in her as a snake. The is cut from the same cloth that B. Hussein Obama, progressive, and proud of it. Hillary has never been part of the solution, only the problem. Her interests are only for the benefit of herself. She could give a hairy rat’s rear end about anything that isn’t socialist and thinks we are dirt under her feet.

  • popster

that progressive/socialists, mainly HRC, tend to talk out of both sides of there mouths. I seem to remember her rant over this same issue during the campaign of “08″.
She seems to be taking a new stance as an idiot.

  • julianusrex

so I could vote against her.

  • rivahmitch

I’m on America’s side. I was on it when I enlisted in the Marine Corps and went to Vietnam and I’m on it today. I have no obligation to, nor do I give a damn about “the Libyan people” and they’re certainly not worth my country’s blood or treasure.

My question for Billary is…When the “Muslim Brotherhood” rules Libya and Egypt and Islamists control from Iran to Libya whose side will you be on?

    • http://jeffemanuel.net Jeff Emanuel

Remember, the Obama administration has said that, according to “public press reports,” the “Libyan Muslim Brotherhood has declared its support for moderate Islam, emphasized the important role of women in society-building, and formed a relief organization in Benghazi.”

If it’s in the press – and if an extremist organization says it – then it must be true!
