Prepare to be completely and utterly shocked. It turns out that residents of Martha’s Vineyard were privately ticked off at the arrival of Venezuelan migrants courtesy of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Of course, this was already made evident by the fact that they promptly shipped them out of the area the day after they arrived. But a reporter revealed that the residents were firmly on board with their leadership’s decision to get those brown people out of their neighborhood as soon as possible.
A reporter with Telemundo reported that residents of Martha’s Vineyard privately said they did not want migrants hanging out on their precious white progressive paradise. In front of St. Andrew’s church, Cristina Londoño Rooney explained that these bleeding-heart progressives did not wish to be interviewed on camera about their opinion on the matter because they did not want to be seen as “inhumane.”
“A furious man passed by just a short time ago. He said that his children had to leave this island because there are no jobs or housing, and now they bring these migrants over, deceiving them with those promises,” she recalled.
“There are also others who blame the Biden Administration, saying it’s their fault, they don’t want the migrants here. But they don’t want to speak on-camera, either because they don’t want to be depicted as inhumane,” Rooney continued.
Lisa Belcastro, who runs the homeless shelter on the island, told reporters that they could not handle the influx of illegals sent by DeSantis.
“At some point in time they have to move from here to somewhere else,” she said. “We don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants. We certainly don’t have housing. We’re in a housing crisis as we are on this island, so we can’t house everyone here that lives here and works here. We don’t have housing for 50 more people.”
Shortly after the 50 immigrants arrived, Gov. Charlie Baker moved them to a military base off the coast of Massachusetts after Democrats declared a humanitarian crisis. According to Breitbart News, the island could have housed about six million illegals – if the residents weren’t so xenophobic, of course. About 88% of the island’s residents supported Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
Baker has deployed about 125 members of the state’s National Guard to help process the illegals arriving at Joint Base Cape Cod.
The Biden administration is looking into legal options to levy against Republican governors who have joined up with the Abbott Express to send illegals to blue cities. If only they would dedicate that type of energy to actually securing the border so it wouldn’t even be necessary in the first place, right?
California Gov. Gavin Newsom took full advantage of the situation to continue endearing himself to Democratic voters that might support his nomination for the presidency in 2024. He recently sent a letter to the Justice Department urging them to investigate the matter as a kidnapping because of course he did.
But these particular dogs won’t hunt. In fact, they won’t even fetch the tennis ball.
If current developments are any indication, the Abbott Express isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, it might just be getting started. Martha’s Vineyard and other blue cities better be ready to see more of the people they have exploited to further their political agenda. After all, it’s about time they paid their fair share, isn’t it?
